1 And when the seventh month came, the children of Israel were in their towns. And all the people came together like one man into the wide place in front of the water-doorway; and they made a request to Ezra the scribe that he would put before them the book of the law of Moses which the Lord had given to Israel.
1 Alors tout le peuple s'assembla comme un seul homme sur la place qui est devant la porte des eaux. Ils dirent à Esdras, le scribe, d'apporter le livre de la loi de Moïse, prescrite par l'Éternel à Israël.
1 Nuair a tháinig an seachtú mí agus go raibh clann mhac Iosrael ina mbailte féin, b chruinnigh an pobal mar aon duine amháin sa chearnóg os comhair Gheata an Uisce amach. D'iarr siad ar Eazrá an scríobhaí leabhar dhlí Mhaois a d'aithin an Tiarna d'Iosrael a thabhairt amach.
1 Y Juntose todo el pueblo como un solo hombre en la plaza que está delante de la puerta de las Aguas, y dijeron á Esdras el escriba, que trajese el libro de la ley de Moisés, la cual mandó Jehová á Israel.
1 Da nun herzukam der siebente Monat und die Kinder Israel in ihren Städten waren, versammelte sich das ganze Volk wie ein Mann auf die breite Gasse vor dem Wassertor und sprachen zu Esra, dem Schriftgelehrten, daß er das Buch des Gesetzes Mose's holte, das der HERR Israel geboten hat.
2 And Ezra the priest put the law before the meeting of the people, before the men and women and all those who were able to take it in, on the first day of the seventh month.
2 Et le sacrificateur Esdras apporta la loi devant l'assemblée, composée d'hommes et de femmes et de tous ceux qui étaient capables de l'entendre. C'était le premier jour du septième mois.
2 Thug Eazrá an sagart leabhar an dlí amach go dtí an comhthionól d'fhir agus de mhná agus de dhaoine óga a d'fhéadfadh é a thuiscint. An chéad lá den seachtú mí a bhí ann.
2 Y Esdras el sacerdote, trajo la ley delante de la congregación, así de hombres como de mujeres, y de todo entendido para escuchar, el primer día del mes séptimo.
2 Und Esra, der Priester, brachte das Gesetz vor die Gemeinde, Männer und Weiber und alle, die es vernehmen konnten, am ersten Tage des siebenten Monats
3 He was reading it in the wide place in front of the water-doorway, from early morning till the middle of the day, in the hearing of all those men and women whose minds were able to take it in; and the ears of all the people were open to the book of the law.
3 Esdras lut dans le livre depuis le matin jusqu'au milieu du jour, sur la place qui est devant la porte des eaux, en présence des hommes et des femmes et de ceux qui étaient capables de l'entendre. Tout le peuple fut attentif à la lecture du livre de la loi.
3 Agus ansin sa chearnóg os comhair Gheata an Uisce léigh sé giotaí as i láthair na bhfear agus na ndaoine óga a d'fhéadfadh é a thuiscint ó mhaidin go dtí meán lae. D'éist na daoine go léir go haireach le leabhar an dlí.
3 Y leyó en el libro delante de la plaza que está delante de la puerta de las Aguas, desde el alba hasta el medio día, en presencia de hombres y mujeres y entendidos; y los oídos de todo el pueblo estaban atentos al libro de la ley.
3 und las daraus auf der breiten Gasse, die vor dem Wassertor ist, vom lichten Morgen an bis auf den Mittag, vor Mann und Weib und wer's vernehmen konnte. Und des ganzen Volkes Ohren waren zu dem Gesetz gekehrt.
4 And Ezra the scribe took his place on a tower of wood which they had made for the purpose; and by his side were placed Mattithiah and Shema and Anaiah and Uriah and Hilkiah and Maaseiah on the right; and on the left, Pedaiah and Mishael and Malchijah and Hashum and Hashbaddanah, Zechariah and Meshullam.
4 Esdras, le scribe, était placé sur une estrade de bois, dressée à cette occasion. Auprès de lui, à sa droite, se tenaient Matthithia, Schéma, Anaja, Urie, Hilkija et Maaséja, et à sa gauche, Pedaja, Mischaël, Malkija, Haschum, Haschbaddana, Zacharie et Meschullam.
4 Agus bhí Eazrá an scríobhaí ina sheasamh ar ardán adhmaid a tógadh le haghaidh na hócáide. Taobh leis, ar a dheis, sheas Maititiá, Seama, Anáiá, Úiríá, Hilcíá agus Másaeiá; agus ar a chlé Padáiá, Míseáéil, Mailcíveá, Háisium, Haisbeadáná, Zacairiá agus Misiulám.
4 Y Esdras el escriba estaba sobre un púlpito de madera, que habían hecho para ello; y junto á él estaban Mathithías, y Sema, y Anías, y Urías, é Hilcías, y Maasías, á su mano derecha; y á su mano izquierda, Pedaía, Misael, y Malchîas, y Hasum, y Hasbedana, Zachârías, y Mesullam.
4 Und Esra, der Schriftgelehrte, stand auf einem hölzernen, hohen Stuhl, den sie gemacht hatten, zu predigen, und standen neben ihm Matthithja, Sema, Anaja, Uria, Hilkia und Maaseja, zu seiner Rechten, aber zu seiner Linken Pedaja, Misael, Malchia, Hasum, Hasbaddana, Sacharja und Mesullam.
5 And Ezra took the book, opening it before the eyes of all the people (for he was higher than the people); and when it was open, all the people got to their feet:
5 Esdras ouvrit le livre à la vue de tout le peuple, car il était élevé au-dessus de tout le peuple; et lorsqu'il l'eut ouvert, tout le peuple se tint en place.
5 Agus d'oscail Eazrá an leabhar i radharc an phobail uile mar bhí sé in airde os a gcionn go léir. Agus nuair a d'oscail sé é, d'éirigh an pobal go léir ina seasamh.
5 Abrió pues Esdras el libro á ojos de todo el pueblo, (porque estaba más alto que todo el pueblo); y como lo abrió, todo el pueblo estuvo atento.
5 Und Esra tat das Buch auf vor dem ganzen Volk, denn er ragte über alles Volk; und da er's auftat, stand alles Volk.
6 And Ezra gave praise to the Lord, the great God. And all the people in answer said, So be it, so be it; lifting up their hands; and with bent heads they gave worship to the Lord, going down on their faces to the earth.
6 Esdras bénit l'Éternel, le grand Dieu, et tout le peuple répondit, en levant les mains: Amen! amen! Et ils s'inclinèrent et se prosternèrent devant l'Éternel, le visage contre terre.
6 Ansin thug Eazrá moladh don Tiarna, Dia mór, agus d'ardaigh an pobal go léir a lámha agus d'fhreagair siad: “Amen! Amen!” agus chrom siad síos agus shléacht siad go talamh roimh an Tiarna.
6 Bendijo entonces Esdras á Jehová, Dios grande. Y todo el pueblo respondió, ¡Amén! ¡Amén! alzando sus manos; y humilláronse, y adoraron á Jehová inclinados á tierra.
6 Und Esra lobte den HERRN, den großen Gott. Und alles Volk antwortete: Amen, Amen! mit ihren Händen empor und neigten sich und beteten den HERRN an mit dem Antlitz zur Erde.
7 And Jeshua and Bani and Sherebiah and Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodiah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, and the Levites made the law clear to the people: and the people kept in their places.
7 Josué, Bani, Schérébia, Jamin, Akkub, Schabbethaï, Hodija, Maaséja, Kelitha, Azaria, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaja, et les Lévites, expliquaient la loi au peuple, et chacun restait à sa place.
7 Iéisiúa, Báiní, Séiribiá, Iáimín, Acún, Seabataí, Hóidiá, Másaeiá, Cilíteá, Azairiá, Iózábád, Hánán, Paláiá - Léivítigh ab ea iadsan - mhínigh siad an dlí don phobal, agus d'fhan an pobal go léir ina seasamh.
7 Y Jesuá, y Bani, y Serebías, Jamín, Accub, Sabethai, Odías, Maasías, Celita, Azarías, Jozabed, Hanán, Pelaía, Levitas, hacían entender al pueblo la ley: y el pueblo estaba en su lugar.
7 Und Jesua, Bani, Serebja, Jamin, Akkub, Sabthai, Hodia, Maaseja, Kelita, Asarja, Josabad, Hanan, Pelaja und die Leviten machten, daß das Volk aufs Gesetz merkte; und das Volk stand auf seiner Stätte.
8 And they gave out the words of the book the law of God, clearly, and gave the sense of it, so that their minds were able to take it in.
8 Ils lisaient distinctement dans le livre de la loi de Dieu, et ils en donnaient le sens pour faire comprendre ce qu'ils avaient lu.
8 Léigh Eazrá giotaí as leabhar an dlí, agus thug aistriú agus míniú orthu don phobal ionas go dtuigfidís a raibh á léamh.
8 Y leían en el libro de la ley de Dios claramente, y ponían el sentido, de modo que entendiesen la lectura.
8 Und sie lasen im Gesetzbuch Gottes klar und verständlich, daß man verstand, was gelesen ward.
9 And Nehemiah, who was the Tirshatha, and Ezra, the priest and scribe, and the Levites who were the teachers of the people, said to all the people, This day is holy to the Lord your God; let there be no sorrow or weeping; for all the people were weeping on hearing the words of the law.
9 Néhémie, le gouverneur, Esdras, le sacrificateur et le scribe, et les Lévites qui enseignaient le peuple, dirent à tout le peuple: Ce jour est consacré à l'Éternel, votre Dieu; ne soyez pas dans la désolation et dans les larmes! Car tout le peuple pleurait en entendant les paroles de la loi.
9 Ansin dúirt [an gobharnóir, Nihimiá agus] Eazrá an sagart agus an scríobhaí [agus na Léivítigh a bhí ag teagasc an phobail] leis an bpobal go léir: “Lá atá coisricthe don Tiarna bhur nDia is ea an lá seo. Ná bígí ag caoineadh ná ag olagón.” Mar bhí an pobal go léir ag sileadh na ndeor nuair a chuala siad briathra an dlí.
9 Y Nehemías el Tirsatha, y el sacerdote Esdras, escriba, y los Levitas que hacían entender al pueblo, dijeron á todo el pueblo: Día santo es á Jehová nuestro Dios; no os entristezcáis, ni lloréis: porque todo el pueblo lloraba oyendo las palabras de la ley.
9 Und Nehemia, der da ist der Landpfleger, und Esra, der Priester, der Schriftgelehrte, und die Leviten, die alles Volk aufmerken machten sprachen zum Volk: Dieser Tag ist heilig dem HERRN, eurem Gott; darum seid nicht traurig und weint nicht! Denn alles Volk weinte, da sie die Worte des Gesetzes hörten.
10 Then he said to them, Go away now, and take the fat for your food and the sweet for your drink, and send some to him for whom nothing is made ready: for this day is holy to our Lord: and let there be no grief in your hearts; for the joy of the Lord is your strong place.
10 Ils leur dirent: Allez, mangez des viandes grasses et buvez des liqueurs douces, et envoyez des portions à ceux qui n'ont rien de préparé, car ce jour est consacré à notre Seigneur; ne vous affligez pas, car la joie de l'Éternel sera votre force.
10 Ansin dúirt sé leo: “Imígí libh, ithigí an tsaill agus ólaigí fíon milis agus cuirigí cuid díobh chun an té nach bhfuil aon ní ullamh aige. Óir tá an lá seo coisricthe dár dTiarna. Ná bíodh brón oraibh óir is é áthas an Tiarna bhur neart.”
10 Díjoles luego: Id, comed grosuras, y bebed vino dulce, y enviad porciones á los que no tienen prevenido; porque día santo es á nuestro Señor: y no os entristezcáis, porque el gozo de Jehová es vuestra fortaleza.
10 Darum sprach er zu ihnen: Geht hin und eßt das Fette und trinkt das Süße und sendet denen auch Teile, die nichts für sich bereitet haben; denn dieser Tag ist heilig unserm HERRN. Und bekümmert euch nicht; denn die Freude am HERRN ist eure Stärke.
11 So the Levites made all the people quiet, saying, Be quiet, for the day is holy; and do not give way to grief.
11 Les Lévites calmaient tout le peuple, en disant: Taisez-vous, car ce jour est saint; ne vous affligez pas!
11 Agus chiúnaigh na Léivítigh an pobal go léir á rá: “Bígí ar bhur suaimhneas; is lá coisricthe é seo; ná bíodh brón oraibh.”
11 Los Levitas pues, hacían callar á todo el pueblo, diciendo: Callad, que es día santo, y no os entristezcáis.
11 Und die Leviten stillten alles Volk und sprachen: Seid still, denn der Tag ist heilig; bekümmert euch nicht!
12 And all the people went away to take food and drink, and to send food to others, and to be glad, because the words which were said to them had been made clear.
12 Et tout le peuple s'en alla pour manger et boire, pour envoyer des portions, et pour se livrer à de grandes réjouissances. Car ils avaient compris les paroles qu'on leur avait expliquées.
12 Agus d'imigh an pobal go léir leo a ithe agus a ól agus a thabhairt scaireanna uathu agus a dhéanamh gairdis toisc gur thuig siad brí na nithe a fógraíodh dóibh.
12 Y todo el pueblo se fué á comer y á beber, y á enviar porciones, y á gozar de grande alegría, porque habían entendido las palabras que les habían enseñado.
12 Und alles Volk ging hin, daß es äße, tränke und Teile sendete und eine große Freude machte; denn sie hatten die Worte verstanden, die man hatte kundgetan.
13 And on the second day the heads of families of all the people and the priests and the Levites came together to Ezra the scribe, to give attention to the words of the law.
13 Le second jour, les chefs de famille de tout le peuple, les sacrificateurs et les Lévites, s'assemblèrent auprès d'Esdras, le scribe, pour entendre l'explication des paroles de la loi.
13 An dara lá chruinnigh cinn finí an phobail ar fad agus na sagairt agus na Léivítigh timpeall Eazrá an scríobhaí le staidéar a dhéanamh ar bhriathra an dlí.
13 Y el día siguiente se juntaron los príncipes de las familias de todo el pueblo, sacerdotes, y Levitas, á Esdras escriba, para entender las palabras de la ley.
13 Und des andern Tages versammelten sich die Obersten der Vaterhäuser unter dem ganzen Volk und die Priester und Leviten zu Esra, dem Schriftgelehrten, daß er sie in den Worten des Gesetzes unterrichtete.
14 And they saw that it was recorded in the law that the Lord had given orders by Moses, that the children of Israel were to have tents for their living-places in the feast of the seventh month:
14 Et ils trouvèrent écrit dans la loi que l'Éternel avait prescrite par Moïse, que les enfants d'Israël devaient habiter sous des tentes pendant la fête du septième mois,
14 Agus fuair siad scríofa sa dlí a d'aithin an Tiarna trí Mhaois: “Tá clann Iosrael le maireachtáil i scáthláin le linn féile an tseachtú mí.”
14 Y hallaron escrito en la ley que Jehová había mandado por mano de Moisés, que habitasen los hijos de Israel en cabañas en la solemnidad del mes séptimo;
14 Und sie fanden geschrieben im Gesetz, das der HERR durch Mose geboten hatte, daß die Kinder Israel in Laubhütten wohnen sollten am Fest im siebenten Monat
15 And that they were to give out an order, and make it public in all their towns and in Jerusalem, saying, Go out to the mountain and get olive branches and branches of field olives and of myrtle, and palm branches and branches of thick trees, to make tents, as it says in the book.
15 et proclamer cette publication dans toutes leurs villes et à Jérusalem: Allez chercher à la montagne des rameaux d'olivier, des rameaux d'olivier sauvage, des rameaux de myrte, des rameaux de palmier, et des rameaux d'arbres touffus, pour faire des tentes, comme il est écrit.
15 A luaithe a chuala siad é sin, [d'fhógair] siad ina gcathracha go léir agus in Iarúsailéim: “Téigí faoi na sléibhte agus tugaigí libh géaga de chrainn olóige, píne agus mirtil agus pailme agus de chrainn chraobhacha eile le scáthláin a dhéanamh mar atá scríofa sa leabhar.”
15 Y que hiciesen saber, y pasar pregón por todas sus ciudades y por Jerusalem, diciendo: Salid al monte, y traed ramos de oliva, y ramos de pino, y ramos de arrayán, y ramos de palmas, y ramos de todo árbol espeso, para hacer cabañas como está escrito.
15 und sollten's lassen laut werden und ausrufen in allen ihren Städten und zu Jerusalem und sagen: Geht hinaus auf die Berge und holt Ölzweige, Myrtenzweige, Palmenzweige und Zweige von dichten Bäumen, daß man Laubhütten mache, wie es geschrieben steht.
16 And the people went out and got them and made themselves tents, every one on the roof of his house, and in the open spaces and in the open squares of the house of God, and in the wide place of the water-doorway, and the wide place of the doorway of Ephraim.
16 Alors le peuple alla chercher des rameaux, et ils se firent des tentes sur le toit de leurs maisons, dans leurs cours, dans les parvis de la maison de Dieu, sur la place de la porte des eaux et sur la place de la porte d'Éphraïm.
16 Chuaigh an pobal amach agus thug leo iad agus rinne scáthláin dóibh féin, gach duine ar dhíon a thí féin, agus ina gclósanna, agus i gclósanna Theampall Dé, ar chearnóg Gheata an Uisce agus ar chearnóg Gheata Eafráim.
16 Salió pues el pueblo, y trajeron, é hiciéronse cabañas, cada uno sobre su terrado, y en sus patios, y en los patios de la casa de Dios, y en la plaza de la puerta de las Aguas, y en la plaza de la puerta de Ephraim.
16 Und das Volk ging hinaus und holten und machten sich Laubhütten, ein jeglicher auf seinem Dach und in ihren Höfen und in den Höfen am Hause Gottes und auf der breiten Gasse am Wassertor und auf der breiten Gasse am Tor Ephraim.
17 All the people who had been prisoners and had come back, made tents and were living in them: for from the time of Jeshua, the son of Nun, till that day, the children of Israel had not done so. And there was very great joy.
17 Toute l'assemblée de ceux qui étaient revenus de la captivité fit des tentes, et ils habitèrent sous ces tentes. Depuis le temps de Josué, fils de Nun, jusqu'à ce jour, les enfants d'Israël n'avaient rien fait de pareil. Et il y eut de très grandes réjouissances.
17 Rinne comhthionól iomlán na muintire a d'fhill ó dheoraíocht scáthláin agus chuaigh chun cónaithe iontu; ní dhearna clann Iosrael riamh a leithéid ó laethanta Iósúa mac Nún go dtí an uair sin. Bhí lúcháir mhór ann.
17 Y toda la congregación que volvió de la cautividad hicieron cabañas, y en cabañas habitaron; porque desde los días de Josué hijo de Nun hasta aquel día, no habían hecho así los hijos de Israel. Y hubo alegría muy grande.
17 Und die ganze Gemeinde derer, die aus der Gefangenschaft waren wiedergekommen, machten Laubhütten und wohnten darin. Denn die Kinder Israel hatten seit der Zeit Josuas, des Sohnes Nuns, bis auf diesen Tag nicht also getan; und es war eine große Freude.
18 And day by day, from the first day till the last, he was reading from the book of the law of God. And they kept the feast for seven days: and on the eighth day there was a holy meeting, as it is ordered in the law.
18 On lut dans le livre de la loi de Dieu chaque jour, depuis le premier jour jusqu'au dernier. On célébra la fête pendant sept jours, et il y eut une assemblée solennelle le huitième jour, comme cela est ordonné.
18 Lá i ndiaidh an lae ó thús deireadh, léadh Eazrá sleachta as leabhar dhlí Dé. Cheiliúir siad an fhéile ar feadh seacht lá, agus ar an ochtú lá bhí comhthionól sollúnta de réir mar a bhí ordaithe.
18 Y leyó Esdras en el libro de la ley de Dios cada día, desde el primer día hasta el postrero; é hicieron la solemnidad por siete días, y al octavo día congregación, según el rito.
18 Und ward im Gesetzbuch Gottes gelesen alle Tage, vom ersten Tag an bis auf den letzten; und sie hielten das Fest sieben Tage und am achten Tage die Versammlung, wie sich's gebührt.
