1 Then Jesus was sent by the Spirit into the waste land to be tested by the Evil One.

2 And after going without food for forty days and forty nights, he was in need of it.
2 Après avoir jeûné quarante jours et quarante nuits, il eut faim.

3 And the Evil One came and said to him, If you are the Son of God, give the word for these stones to become bread.
3 Le tentateur, s'étant approché, lui dit: Si tu es Fils de Dieu, ordonne que ces pierres deviennent des pains.
3 Tháinig an cathaitheoir ina aice agus dúirt: “Más tú Mac Dé, abair arán a dhéanamh de na clocha seo.”
3 Y llegándose á él el tentador, dijo: Si eres Hijo de Dios, di que estas piedras se hagan pan.
3 Und der Versucher trat zu ihm und sprach: Bist du Gottes Sohn, so sprich, daß diese Steine Brot werden.
4 But he made answer and said, It is in the Writings, Bread is not man's only need, but every word which comes out of the mouth of God.
4 Jésus répondit: Il est écrit: L'homme ne vivra pas de pain seulement, mais de toute parole qui sort de la bouche de Dieu.
4 Dúirt sé á fhreagairt: “Tá sé scríofa: ‘Ní ar arán amháin a mhairfidh an duine, ach ar an uile fhocal a thagann as béal Dé.’ ”
4 Mas él respondiendo, dijo: Escrito está: No con solo el pan vivirá el hombre, mas con toda palabra que sale de la boca de Dios.
4 Und er antwortete und sprach: Es steht geschrieben: "Der Mensch lebt nicht vom Brot allein, sondern von einem jeglichen Wort, das durch den Mund Gottes geht."
5 Then the Evil One took him to the holy town; and he put him on the highest point of the Temple and said to him,

6 If you are the Son of God, let yourself go down; for it is in the Writings, He will give his angels care over you; and, In their hands they will keep you up, so that your foot may not be crushed against a stone.
6 et lui dit: Si tu es Fils de Dieu, jette-toi en bas; car il est écrit: Il donnera des ordres à ses anges à ton sujet; Et ils te porteront sur les mains, De peur que ton pied ne heurte contre une pierre.

6 Y le dice: Si eres Hijo de Dios, échate abajo; que escrito está: A sus ángeles mandará por ti, Y te alzarán en las manos, Para que nunca tropieces con tu pie en piedra.
6 und sprach zu ihm: Bist du Gottes Sohn, so laß dich hinab; denn es steht geschrieben: Er wird seinen Engeln über dir Befehl tun, und sie werden dich auf Händen tragen, auf daß du deinen Fuß nicht an einen Stein stoßest.
7 Jesus said to him, Again it is in the Writings, You may not put the Lord your God to the test.
7 Jésus lui dit: Il est aussi écrit: Tu ne tenteras point le Seigneur, ton Dieu.
7 Dúirt Íosa leis: “Tá sé scríofa freisin: ‘Ní bhainfidh tú triail as an Tiarna do Dhia.’ ”
7 Jesús le dijo: Escrito está además: No tentarás al Señor tu Dios.
7 Da sprach Jesus zu ihm: Wiederum steht auch geschrieben: "Du sollst Gott, deinen HERRN, nicht versuchen."
8 Again, the Evil One took him up to a very high mountain, and let him see all the kingdoms of the world and the glory of them;
8 Le diable le transporta encore sur une montagne très élevée, lui montra tous les royaumes du monde et leur gloire,

9 And he said to him, All these things will I give you, if you will go down on your face and give me worship.
9 et lui dit: Je te donnerai toutes ces choses, si tu te prosternes et m'adores.

9 Y dícele: Todo esto te daré, si postrado me adorares.
9 und sprach zu ihm: Das alles will ich dir geben, so du niederfällst und mich anbetest.
10 Then said Jesus to him, Away, Satan: for it is in the Writings, Give worship to the Lord your God and be his servant only.
10 Jésus lui dit: Retire-toi, Satan! Car il est écrit: Tu adoreras le Seigneur, ton Dieu, et tu le serviras lui seul.
10 Dúirt Íosa leis ansin: “Imigh leat, a Shátain! óir tá sé scríofa: ‘Adharfaidh tú an Tiarna do Dhia, agus is dó amháin a bheidh tú ag seirbhís.’ ”
10 Entonces Jesús le dice: Vete, Satanás, que escrito está: Al Señor tu Dios adorarás y á él solo servirás.
10 Da sprach Jesus zu ihm: Hebe dich weg von mir Satan! denn es steht geschrieben: "Du sollst anbeten Gott, deinen HERRN, und ihm allein dienen."
11 Then the Evil One went away from him, and angels came and took care of him.
11 Alors le diable le laissa. Et voici, des anges vinrent auprès de Jésus, et le servaient.

12 Now when it came to his ears that John had been put in prison, he went away to Galilee;
12 Jésus, ayant appris que Jean avait été livré, se retira dans la Galilée.

13 And going away from Nazareth, he came and made his living-place in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the country of Zebulun and Naphtali:
13 Il quitta Nazareth, et vint demeurer à Capernaüm, située près de la mer, dans le territoire de Zabulon et de Nephthali,

13 Y dejando á Nazaret, vino y habitó en Capernaum, ciudad marítima, en los confines de Zabulón y de Nephtalim:
13 Und verließ die Stadt Nazareth, kam und wohnte zu Kapernaum, das da liegt am Meer, im Lande Sebulon und Naphthali,
14 So that the word of the prophet Isaiah might come true,
14 afin que s'accomplît ce qui avait été annoncé par Ésaïe, le prophète:
14 chun go gcomhlíonfaí a ndúradh trí Íseáia fáidh:
14 Para que se cumpliese lo que fué dicho por el profeta Isaías, que dijo:
14 auf das erfüllet würde, was da gesagt ist durch den Propheten Jesaja, der da spricht:
15 The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, by the way of the sea, the other side of Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles,
15 Le peuple de Zabulon et de Nephthali, De la contrée voisine de la mer, du pays au delà du Jourdain, Et de la Galilée des Gentils,
15 “Talamh Zabúlun, talamh Naftáilím, bóthar na farraige, an taobh eile den Iordáin, Gailíl na gciníocha,
15 La tierra de Zabulón, y la tierra de Nephtalim, Camino de la mar, de la otra parte del Jordán, Galilea de los Gentiles;
15 "Das Land Sebulon und das Land Naphthali, am Wege des Meeres, jenseit des Jordans, und das heidnische Galiläa,
16 The people who were in the dark saw a great light, and to those in the land of the shade of death did the dawn come up.
16 Ce peuple, assis dans les ténèbres, A vu une grande lumière; Et sur ceux qui étaient assis dans la région et l'ombre de la mort La lumière s'est levée.

17 From that time Jesus went about preaching and saying, Let your hearts be turned from sin, for the kingdom of heaven is near.
17 Dès ce moment Jésus commença à prêcher, et à dire: Repentez-vous, car le royaume des cieux est proche.

17 Desde entonces comenzó Jesús á predicar, y á decir: Arrepentíos, que el reino de los cielos se ha acercado.
17 Von der Zeit an fing Jesus an, zu predigen und zu sagen: Tut Buße, das Himmelreich ist nahe herbeigekommen!
18 And when he was walking by the sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon, whose other name was Peter, and Andrew, his brother, who were putting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen.
18 Comme il marchait le long de la mer de Galilée, il vit deux frères, Simon, appelé Pierre, et André, son frère, qui jetaient un filet dans la mer; car ils étaient pêcheurs.

18 Y andando Jesús junto á la mar de Galilea, vió á dos hermanos, Simón, que es llamado Pedro, y Andrés su hermano, que echaban la red en la mar; porque eran pescadores.
18 Als nun Jesus an dem Galiläischen Meer ging, sah er zwei Brüder, Simon, der da heißt Petrus, und Andreas, seinen Bruder, die warfen ihre Netze ins Meer; denn sie waren Fischer.
19 And he said to them, Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men.
19 Il leur dit: Suivez-moi, et je vous ferai pêcheurs d'hommes.

20 And straight away they let go the nets and went after him.

21 And going on from there he saw two other brothers, James, the son of Zebedee, and John, his brother, in the boat with their father, stitching up their nets; and he said, Come.
21 De là étant allé plus loin, il vit deux autres frères, Jacques, fils de Zébédée, et Jean, son frère, qui étaient dans une barque avec Zébédée, leur père, et qui réparaient leurs filets.
21 Bhuail sé ar aghaidh, agus chonaic sé beirt dearthár eile, Séamas mac Zeibidé agus Eoin a dheartháir: bhí siad sa bhád in éineacht lena n‑athair, Zeibidé, ag cóiriú a gcuid líonta; agus ghlaoigh sé iad.
21 Y pasando de allí vió otros dos hermanos, Jacobo, hijo de Zebedeo, y Juan su hermano, en el barco con Zebedeo, su padre, que remendaban sus redes; y los llamó.
21 Und da er von da weiterging, sah er zwei andere Brüder, Jakobus, den Sohn des Zebedäus, und Johannes, seinen Bruder, im Schiff mit ihrem Vater Zebedäus, daß sie ihre Netze flickten; und er rief sie.
22 And they went straight from the boat and their father and came after him.
22 Il les appela, et aussitôt ils laissèrent la barque et leur père, et le suivirent.

23 And Jesus went about in all Galilee, teaching in their Synagogues and preaching the good news of the kingdom, and making well those who were ill with any disease among the people.
23 Jésus parcourait toute la Galilée, enseignant dans les synagogues, prêchant la bonne nouvelle du royaume, et guérissant toute maladie et toute infirmité parmi le peuple.
23 Agus ghabh Íosa ar fud na Gailíle go léir, ag teagasc sna sionagóga, ag fógairt dea-scéil na ríochta, agus ag leigheas gach galar agus gach éagruas i measc an phobail.
23 Y rodeó Jesús toda Galilea, enseñando en las sinagogas de ellos, y predicando el evangelio del reino, y sanando toda enfermedad y toda dolencia en el pueblo.
23 Und Jesus ging umher im ganzen galiläischen Lande, lehrte sie in ihren Schulen und predigte das Evangelium von dem Reich und heilte allerlei Seuche und Krankheit im Volk.
24 And news of him went out through all Syria; and they took to him all who were ill with different diseases and pains, those having evil spirits and those who were off their heads, and those who had no power of moving. And he made them well.
24 Sa renommée se répandit dans toute la Syrie, et on lui amenait tous ceux qui souffraient de maladies et de douleurs de divers genres, des démoniaques, des lunatiques, des paralytiques; et il les guérissait.
24 Chuaigh a chlú ar fud na Síre go léir, agus tugadh cách a bhí tinn ó gach sort galair nó ag fulaingt piolóidí, daoine a raibh deamhain iontu, nó an titimeas orthu nó an phairilis, agus leigheas sé iad.
24 Y corría su fama por toda la Siria; y le trajeron todos los que tenían mal: los tomados de diversas enfermedades y tormentos, y los endemoniados, y lunáticos, y paralíticos, y los sanó.
24 Und sein Gerücht erscholl in das ganze Syrienland. Und sie brachten zu ihm allerlei Kranke, mit mancherlei Seuchen und Qual behaftet, die Besessenen, die Mondsüchtigen und Gichtbrüchigen; und er machte sie alle gesund.
25 And there went after him great numbers from Galilee and Decapolis and Jerusalem and Judaea and from the other side of Jordan.
25 Une grande foule le suivit, de la Galilée, de la Décapole, de Jérusalem, de la Judée, et d'au delà du Jourdain.
25 Agus lean sluaite móra é ón nGailíl, ó Dheacapoil, ó Iarúsailéim, ó Iúdáia agus ó thar an Iordáin.
25 Y le siguieron muchas gentes de Galilea y de Decápolis y de Jerusalem y de Judea y de la otra parte del Jordán.
25 Und es folgte ihm nach viel Volks aus Galiläa, aus den Zehn-Städten, von Jerusalem, aus dem jüdischen Lande und von jenseits des Jordans.
