1 Nebuchadnezzar the king, to all the peoples, nations, and languages living in all the earth: May your peace be increased.

1 NABUCODONOSOR rey, á todos los pueblos, naciones, y lenguas, que moran en toda la tierra: Paz os sea multiplicada:
1 König Nebukadnezar allen Völkern, Leuten und Zungen auf der ganzen Erde: Viel Friede zuvor!
2 It has seemed good to me to make clear the signs and wonders which the Most High God has done with me.
2 Il m'a semblé bon de faire connaître les signes et les prodiges que le Dieu suprême a opérés à mon égard.
2 Rinneadh taibhreamh dom a chuir scanradh orm: i mo luí dom ar mo leaba bhuair mo smaointe agus físeanna mo chinn mé.
2 Las señales y milagros que el alto Dios ha hecho conmigo, conviene que yo las publique.
2 Ich sehe es für gut an, daß ich verkündige die Zeichen und Wunder, so Gott der Höchste an mir getan hat.
3 How great are his signs! and how full of power are his wonders! his kingdom is an eternal kingdom and his rule goes on from generation to generation.
3 Que ses signes sont grands! que ses prodiges sont puissants! Son règne est un règne éternel, et sa domination subsiste de génération en génération.
3 Uime sin thug mé ordú saoithe na Bablóine uile a thabhairt i mo láthair i dtreo go n-inseoidís ciall an taibhrimh dom.
3 ¡Cuán grandes son sus señales, y cuán potentes sus maravillas! Su reino, reino sempiterno, y su señorío hasta generación y generación.
3 Denn seine Zeichen sind groß, und seine Wunder mächtig, und sein Reich ist ein ewiges Reich, und seine Herrschaft währt für und für.
4 I, Nebuchadnezzar, was at rest in my place, and all things were going well for me in my great house:
4 Moi, Nebucadnetsar, je vivais tranquille dans ma maison, et heureux dans mon palais.
4 Bhí mise, Nabúcadnazar, go socair i mo theach agus faoi bhláth i mo phálás.
4 Yo Nabucodonosor estaba quieto en mi casa, y floreciente en mi palacio.
4 Ich, Nebukadnezar, da ich gute Ruhe hatte in meinem Hause und es wohl stand auf meiner Burg,
5 I saw a dream which was a cause of great fear to me; I was troubled by the images of my mind on my bed, and by the visions of my head.
5 J'ai eu un songe qui m'a effrayé; les pensées dont j'étais poursuivi sur ma couche et les visions de mon esprit me remplissaient d'épouvante.
5 Rinneadh taibhreamh dom a chuir scanradh orm: i mo luí dom ar mo leaba bhuair mo smaointe agus físeanna mo chinn mé.
5 Vi un sueño que me espantó, y las imaginaciones y visiones de mi cabeza me turbaron en mi cama.
5 sah einen Traum und erschrak, und die Gedanken, die ich auf meinem Bett hatte, und das Gesicht, so ich gesehen hatte, betrübten mich.
6 And I gave orders for all the wise men of Babylon to come in before me so that they might make clear to me the sense of my dream.
6 J'ordonnai qu'on fît venir devant moi tous les sages de Babylone, afin qu'ils me donnassent l'explication du songe.
6 Uime sin thug mé ordú saoithe na Bablóine uile a thabhairt i mo láthair i dtreo go n‑inseoidís ciall an taibhrimh dom.
6 Por lo cual yo puse mandamiento para hacer venir delante de mí todos los sabios de Babilonia, que me mostrasen la declaración del sueño.
6 Und ich befahl, daß alle Weisen zu Babel vor mich hereingebracht würden, daß sie mir sagten, was der Traum bedeutet.
7 Then the wonder-workers, the users of secret arts, the Chaldaeans, and the readers of signs came in to me: and I put the dream before them but they did not make clear the sense of it to me.
7 Alors vinrent les magiciens, les astrologues, les Chaldéens et les devins. Je leur dis le songe, et ils ne m'en donnèrent point l'explication.
7 Ansin tháinig na draoithe, na hasarlaithe, na Caildéigh agus na fáistinigh isteach agus d'inis mé an taibhreamh dóibh, ach ní fhéadfaidís a chiall a chur in iúl dom.
7 Y vinieron magos, astrólogos, Caldeos, y adivinos: y dije el sueño delante de ellos, mas nunca me mostraron su declaración;
7 Da brachte man herein die Sternseher, Weisen, Chaldäer und Wahrsager, und ich erzählte den Traum vor ihnen; aber sie konnten mir nicht sagen, was er bedeutete,
8 But at last Daniel came in before me, he whose name was Belteshazzar, after the name of my god, and in whom is the spirit of the holy gods: and I put the dream before him, saying,
8 En dernier lieu, se présenta devant moi Daniel, nommé Beltschatsar d'après le nom de mon dieu, et qui a en lui l'esprit des dieux saints. Je lui dis le songe:
8 Faoi dheireadh tháinig Dainéil isteach i mo láthair - é siúd ar ar tugadh Béiltiseazar de réir ainm mo dhé, agus ina bhfuil spiorad an Naomh-Dhé - agus d'inis mé an taibhreamh dó á rá:
8 Hasta tanto que entró delante de mí Daniel, cuyo nombre es Beltsasar, como el nombre de mi dios, y en el cual hay espíritu de los dioses santos, y dije el sueño delante de él, diciendo:
8 bis zuletzt Daniel vor mich kam, welcher Beltsazar heißt nach dem Namen meines Gottes, der den Geist der heiligen Götter hat. Und ich erzählte vor ihm meinen Traum:
9 O Belteshazzar, master of the wonder-workers, because I am certain that the spirit of the holy gods is in you, and you are troubled by no secret; this is the dream which I saw: make clear to me its sense.
9 Beltschatsar, chef des magiciens, qui as en toi, je le sais, l'esprit des dieux saints, et pour qui aucun secret n'est difficile, donne-moi l'explication des visions que j'ai eues en songe.
9 “A Bhéiltiseazar, a cheannaire na ndraoithe, mar gurb eol dom go bhfuil spiorad an Naomh-Dhé ionat agus nach cás duit aon rún: seo é an taibhreamh a rinneadh dom agus inis a chiall dom:
9 Beltsasar, príncipe de los magos, ya que he entendido que hay en ti espíritu de los dioses santos, y que ningún misterio se te esconde, exprésame las visiones de mi sueño que he visto, y su declaración.
9 Beltsazar, du Oberster unter den Sternsehern, von dem ich weiß, daß du den Geist der heiligen Götter hast und dir nichts verborgen ist, sage, was das Gesicht meines Traumes, das ich gesehen habe, bedeutet.
10 On my bed I saw a vision: there was a tree in the middle of the earth, and it was very high.
10 Voici les visions de mon esprit, pendant que j'étais sur ma couche. Je regardais, et voici, il y avait au milieu de la terre un arbre d'une grande hauteur.
10 Ba iad seo físeanna mo chinn ar mo luí dom ar mo leaba: Féach: crann i lár na talún; ba mhór a airde.
10 Aquestas las visiones de mi cabeza en mi cama: Parecíame que veía un árbol en medio de la tierra, cuya altura era grande.
10 Dies aber ist das Gesicht, das ich gesehen habe auf meinem Bette: Siehe, es stand ein Baum mitten im Lande, der war sehr hoch.
11 And the tree became tall and strong, stretching up to heaven, and to be seen from the ends of the earth:
11 Cet arbre était devenu grand et fort, sa cime s'élevait jusqu'aux cieux, et on le voyait des extrémités de toute la terre.
11 D'fhás an crann agus neartaigh; ráinig a bharr chun neimhe, agus bhí radharc air ó chiumhaiseanna na cruinne.
11 Crecía este árbol, y hacíase fuerte, y su altura llegaba hasta el cielo, y su vista hasta el cabo de toda la tierra.
11 Und er wurde groß und mächtig, und seine Höhe reichte bis an den Himmel, und er breitete sich aus bis ans Ende der ganzen Erde.
12 Its leaves were fair and it had much fruit, and in it was food enough for all: the beasts of the field had shade under it, and the birds of heaven were resting in its branches, and it gave food to all living things.
12 Son feuillage était beau, et ses fruits abondants; il portait de la nourriture pour tous; les bêtes des champs s'abritaient sous son ombre, les oiseaux du ciel faisaient leur demeure parmi ses branches, et tout être vivant tirait de lui sa nourriture.
12 B'álainn a dhuilliúr, ba líonmhar a thoradh. Ba ann a fuair cách cothú, Bhí sé ina scáth ag ainmhithe an mhachaire, agus lonnaigh éanlaith an aeir ina ghéaga, agus cothaíodh an uile fheoil leis.
12 Su copa era hermosa, y su fruto en abundancia, y para todos había en él mantenimiento. Debajo de él se ponían á la sombra las bestias del campo, y en sus ramas hacían morada las aves del cielo, y manteníase de él toda carne.
12 Seine Äste waren schön und trugen viel Früchte, davon alles zu essen hatte; alle Tiere auf dem Felde fanden Schatten unter ihm, und die Vögel unter dem Himmel saßen auf seinen Ästen, und alles Fleisch nährte sich von ihm.
13 In the visions of my head on my bed I saw a watcher, a holy one, coming down from heaven,
13 Dans les visions de mon esprit, que j'avais sur ma couche, je regardais, et voici, un de ceux qui veillent et qui sont saints descendit des cieux.
13 Chonaic mé i bhfíseanna mo chinn ar mo leaba: Féach! fear faire fíréan a tháinig ó neamh anuas.
13 Veía en las visiones de mi cabeza en mi cama, y he aquí que un vigilante y santo descendía del cielo.
13 Und ich sah ein Gesicht auf meinem Bette, und siehe, ein heiliger Wächter fuhr vom Himmel herab;
14 Crying out with a loud voice; and this is what he said: Let the tree be cut down and its branches broken off; let its leaves be taken off and its fruit sent in every direction: let the beasts get away from under it and the birds from its branches:
14 Il cria avec force et parla ainsi: Abattez l'arbre, et coupez ses branches; secouez le feuillage, et dispersez les fruits; que les bêtes fuient de dessous, et les oiseaux du milieu de ses branches!
14 D'fhógair sé in ard a chinn: ‘Gearraigí anuas an crann, ciorraígí a ghéaga de, croithigí a dhuilliúr de, cuirigí scaipeadh ar a thoradh; teitheadh na hainmhithe óna scáth, agus an éanlaith óna ghéaga.
14 Y clamaba fuertemente y decía así: Cortad el árbol, y desmochad sus ramas, derribad su copa, y derramad su fruto: váyanse las bestias que están debajo de él, y las aves de sus ramas.
14 der rief überlaut und sprach also: Haut den Baum um und behaut ihm die Äste und streift ihm das Laub ab und zerstreut seine Früchte, daß die Tiere, so unter ihm liegen, weglaufen und die Vögel von seinen Zweigen fliehen.
15 But keep its broken end and its roots still in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass; let him have the young grass of the field for food, and let him be wet with the dew of heaven, and let his part be with the beasts.
15 Mais laissez en terre le tronc où se trouvent les racines, et liez-le avec des chaînes de fer et d'airain, parmi l'herbe des champs. Qu'il soit trempé de la rosée du ciel, et qu'il ait, comme les bêtes, l'herbe de la terre pour partage.
15 Ach fágaigí an stocán leis na fréamhacha sa talamh, agus slabhra iarainn agus práis á cheangal, i bhféar mín an mhachaire. Fliuchtar é ó dhrúcht neimhe, agus gurb é féar na talún a chuid ronna i gcuibhreann na n‑ainmhithe fiáine.
15 Mas la cepa de sus raíces dejaréis en la tierra, y con atadura de hierro y de metal entre la hierba del campo; y sea mojado con el rocío del cielo, y su parte con las bestias en la hierba de la tierra.
15 Doch laßt den Stock mit seinen Wurzeln in der Erde bleiben; er aber soll in eisernen und ehernen Ketten auf dem Felde im Grase und unter dem Tau des Himmels liegen und naß werden und soll sich weiden mit den Tieren von den Kräutern der Erde.
16 Let his heart be changed from that of a man, and the heart of a beast be given to him; and let seven times go by him.
16 Son coeur d'homme lui sera ôté, et un coeur de bête lui sera donné; et sept temps passeront sur lui.
16 Athraítear a chroí ó bheith ina chroí daonna; tugtar croí ainmhí dó, agus téadh seacht n‑aimsir thairis.
16 Su corazón sea mudado de corazón de hombre, y séale dado corazón de bestia, y pasen sobre él siete tiempos.
16 Und das menschliche Herz soll von ihm genommen und ein viehisches Herz ihm gegeben werden, bis daß sieben Zeiten über ihn um sind.
17 This order is fixed by the watchers, and the decision is by the word of the holy ones: so that the living may be certain that the Most High is ruler over the kingdom of men, and gives it to any man at his pleasure, lifting up over it the lowest of men.
17 Cette sentence est un décret de ceux qui veillent, cette résolution est un ordre des saints, afin que les vivants sachent que le Très Haut domine sur le règne des hommes, qu'il le donne à qui il lui plaît, et qu'il y élève le plus vil des hommes.
17 Sin breith na bhfear faire agus réiteach na ceiste i bhfocal na Naomh, d'fhonn is go mbeadh a fhios ag gach aon duine beo go bhfuil flaitheas ag an té is Airde ar ríocht na ndaoine; agus go dtugann sé í don té is mian leis agus go gcuireann sé an té is uirísle ar dhaoine os a cionn.’
17 La sentencia es por decreto de los vigilantes, y por dicho de los santos la demanda: para que conozcan los vivientes que el Altísimo se enseñorea del reino de los hombres, y que á quien él quiere lo da, y constituye sobre él al más bajo de los hombres.
17 Solches ist im Rat der Wächter beschlossen und im Gespräch der Heiligen beratschlagt, auf daß die Lebendigen erkennen, daß der Höchste Gewalt hat über der Menschen Königreiche und gibt sie, wem er will, und erhöht die Niedrigen zu denselben.
18 This dream I, King Nebuchadnezzar, saw; and do you, O Belteshazzar, make clear the sense of it, for all the wise men of my kingdom are unable to make the sense of it clear to me; but you are able, for the spirit of the holy gods is in you.
18 Voilà le songe que j'ai eu, moi, le roi Nebucadnetsar. Toi, Beltschatsar, donnes-en l'explication, puisque tous les sages de mon royaume ne peuvent me la donner; toi, tu le peux, car tu as en toi l'esprit des dieux saints.
18 “Sin é agaibh an taibhreamh a rinneadh domsa, Nabúcadnazar rí. Agus tusa, a Bhéiltiseazar, foilsigh a chiall mar nár fhéad aon duine de shaoithe mo ríochta a chiall a fhoilsiú dom; ach féadann tusa mar tá spiorad an Naomh-Dhe ionat.”
18 Yo el rey Nabucodonosor he visto este sueño. Tú pues, Beltsasar, dirás la declaración de él, porque todos los sabios de mi reino nunca pudieron mostrarme su interpretación: mas tú puedes, porque hay en ti espíritu de los dioses santos.
18 Solchen Traum habe ich, König Nebukadnezar, gesehen; du aber Beltsazar, sage mir was er bedeutet. Denn alle Weisen in meinem Königreiche können mir nicht anzeigen, was er bedeute; du aber kannst es wohl, denn der Geist der heiligen Götter ist bei dir.
19 Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was at a loss for a time, his thoughts troubling him. The king made answer and said, Belteshazzar, do not be troubled by the dream or by the sense of it. Belteshazzar, answering, said, My lord, may the dream be about your haters, and its sense about those who are against you.
19 Alors Daniel, nommé Beltschatsar, fut un moment stupéfait, et ses pensées le troublaient. Le roi reprit et dit: Beltschatsar, que le songe et l'explication ne te troublent pas! Et Beltschatsar répondit: Mon seigneur, que le songe soit pour tes ennemis, et son explication pour tes adversaires!
19 Ansin bhí Dainéil - ar a dtugtaí Béiltiseazar - trí chéile scaitheamh agus ar mearbhall aigne. Labhair an rí agus dúirt: “Ná cuireadh an taibhreamh seo ná a chiall aon chaduaic ort, a Bhéiltiseazar.” D'fhreagair Béiltiseazar: “Go raibh an taibhreamh seo dóibh siúd a thugann fuath duit, agus a chiall do do naimhde.
19 Entonces Daniel, cuyo nombre era Beltsasar, estuvo callando casi una hora, y sus pensamientos lo espantaban: El rey habló, y dijo: Beltsasar, el sueño ni su declaración no te espante. Respondió Beltsasar, y dijo: Señor mío, el sueño sea para tus enemigos, y su declaración para los que mal te quieren.
19 Da entsetzte sich Daniel, der sonst Beltsazar heißt, bei einer Stunde lang und seine Gedanken betrübten ihn. Aber der König sprach: Beltsazar, laß dich den Traum und seine Deutung nicht betrüben. Beltsazar fing an und sprach: Ach mein Herr, daß der Traum deinen Feinden und seine Deutung deinen Widersachern gälte!
20 The tree which you saw, which became tall and strong, stretching up to heaven and seen from the ends of the earth;
20 L'arbre que tu as vu, qui était devenu grand et fort, dont la cime s'élevait jusqu'aux cieux, et qu'on voyait de tous les points de la terre;
20 An crann sin a chonaic tú, mór agus láidir, agus a ráinig chun neimhe, agus a raibh radharc air ó chiumhaiseanná na cruinne,
20 El árbol que viste, que crecía y se hacía fuerte, y que su altura llegaba hasta el cielo, y su vista por toda la tierra;
20 Der Baum, den du gesehen hast, daß er groß und mächtig ward und seine Höhe an den Himmel reichte und daß er sich über die Erde breitete
21 Which had fair leaves and much fruit, and had in it food for all; under which the beasts of the field were living, and in the branches of which the birds of heaven had their resting-places:
21 cet arbre, dont le feuillage était beau et les fruits abondants, qui portait de la nourriture pour tous, sous lequel s'abritaient les bêtes des champs, et parmi les branches duquel les oiseaux du ciel faisaient leur demeure,
21 arbh álainn a dhuilliúr agus arbh líonmhar a thoradh, a chothaigh cách, agus a thug scáth d'ainmhithe an mhachaire, agus ar lonnaigh éanlaith an aeir ina ghéaga -
21 Y cuya copa era hermosa, y su fruto en abundancia, y que para todos había mantenimiento en él; debajo del cual moraban las bestias del campo, y en sus ramas habitaban las aves del cielo,
21 und seine Äste schön waren und seiner Früchte viel, davon alles zu essen hatte, und die Tiere auf dem Felde unter ihm wohnten und die Vögel des Himmels auf seinen Ästen saßen:
22 It is you, O King, who have become great and strong: for your power is increased and stretching up to heaven, and your rule to the end of the earth.
22 c'est toi, ô roi, qui es devenu grand et fort, dont la grandeur s'est accrue et s'est élevée jusqu'aux cieux, et dont la domination s'étend jusqu'aux extrémités de la terre.
22 sin é tusa, a rí, a d'fhás agus a neartaigh. Mhéadaigh ar d'ardréim agus ráinig chun neimhe, agus do fhlaitheas go ciumhaiseanna na cruinne.
22 Tú mismo eres, oh rey, que creciste, y te hiciste fuerte, pues creció tu grandeza, y ha llegado hasta el cielo, y tu señorío hasta el cabo de la tierra.
22 das bist du, König, der du so groß und mächtig geworden; denn deine Macht ist groß und reicht an den Himmel, und deine Gewalt langt bis an der Welt Ende.
23 And as for the vision which the king saw of a watcher, a holy one, coming down from heaven, saying, Let the tree be cut down and given to destruction;
23 Le roi a vu l'un de ceux qui veillent et qui sont saints descendre des cieux et dire: Abattez l'arbre, et détruisez-le; mais laissez en terre le tronc où se trouvent les racines, et liez-le avec des chaînes de fer et d'airain, parmi l'herbe des champs; qu'il soit trempé de la rosée du ciel, et que son partage soit avec les bêtes des champs, jusqu'à ce que sept temps soient passés sur lui.
23 Agus maidir leis seo a chonaic an rí: fear faire, naomh, a tháinig anuas ó neamh agus a dúirt: ‘Gearraigí anuas an crann, milligí é, ach fágaigí an stocán agus na fréamhacha sa talamh, faoi shlabhraí iarainn agus práis, i bhféar mín an mhachaire, fliuchtar é ó dhrúcht neimhe agus bíodh a chuid aige i gcuibhreann an n‑ainmhithe fiáine, go dté seacht n‑aimsir thairis’ -
23 Y cuanto á lo que vió el rey, un vigilante y santo que descendía del cielo, y decía: Cortad el árbol y destruidlo: mas la cepa de sus raíces dejaréis en la tierra, y con atadura de hierro y de metal en la hierba del campo; y sea mojado con el rocío del cielo, y su parte sea con las bestias del campo, hasta que pasen sobre él siete tiempos:
23 Daß aber der König einen heiligen Wächter gesehen hat vom Himmel herabfahren und sagen: Haut den Baum um und verderbt ihn; doch den Stock mit seinen Wurzeln laßt in der Erde bleiben; er aber soll in eisernen und ehernen Ketten auf dem Felde im Grase gehen und unter dem Tau des Himmels liegen und naß werden und sich mit den Tieren auf dem Felde weiden, bis über ihn sieben Zeiten um sind,
24 This is the sense of it, O King, and it is the decision of the Most High which has come on my lord the king:
24 Voici l'explication, ô roi, voici le décret du Très Haut, qui s'accomplira sur mon seigneur le roi.

24 Esta es la declaración, oh rey, y la sentencia del Altísimo, que ha venido sobre el rey mi señor:
24 das ist die Deutung, Herr König, und solcher Rat des Höchsten geht über meinen Herrn König:
25 That they will send you out from among men, to be with the beasts of the field; they will give you grass for your food like the oxen, and you will be wet with the dew of heaven, and seven times will go by you, till you are certain that the Most High is ruler in the kingdom of men, and gives it to any man at his pleasure.
25 On te chassera du milieu des hommes, tu auras ta demeure avec les bêtes des champs, et l'on te donnera comme aux boeufs de l'herbe à manger; tu seras trempé de la rosée du ciel, et sept temps passeront sur toi, jusqu'à ce que tu saches que le Très Haut domine sur le règne des hommes et qu'il le donne à qui il lui plaît.
25 Díbreofar thú ó chomhluadar daoine, agus lonnóidh tú le hainmhithe an mhachaire, agus caithfidh tú féar a ithe dála an daimh; fliuchfar thú ó dhrúcht neimhe, agus rachaidh seacht n‑aimsir tharat, chun go mbeidh a fhios agat gur ag an té is Airde atá ardfhlaitheas ar ríocht na ndaoine, agus go dtugann sé í don té is áil leis.
25 Que te echarán de entre los hombres, y con las bestias del campo será tu morada, y con hierba del campo te apacentarán como á los bueyes, y con rocío del cielo serás bañado; y siete tiempos pasarán sobre ti, hasta que entiendas que el Altísimo se enseñorea en el reino de los hombres, y que á quien él quisiere lo dará.
25 Man wird dich von den Leuten stoßen, und du mußt bei den Tieren auf dem Felde bleiben, und man wird dich Gras essen lassen wie die Ochsen, und wirst unter dem Tau des Himmels liegen und naß werden, bis über dir sieben Zeiten um sind, auf daß du erkennst, daß der Höchste Gewalt hat über der Menschen Königreiche und gibt sie, wem er will.
26 And as they gave orders to let the broken end and the roots of the tree be, so your kingdom will be safe for you after it is clear to you that the heavens are ruling.
26 L'ordre de laisser le tronc où se trouvent les racines de l'arbre signifie que ton royaume te restera quand tu reconnaîtras que celui qui domine est dans les cieux.
26 “Agus an t‑ordú seo: Fágaigí an stocán agus fréamhacha an chrainn, ciallaíonn sé go seasfaidh do ríocht duit nó go mbeidh a fhios agat gurb é Neamh a rialaíonn gach ní.
26 Y lo que dijeron, que dejasen en la tierra la cepa de las raíces del mismo árbol, significa que tu reino se te quedará firme, luego que entiendas que el señorío es en los cielos.
26 Daß aber gesagt ist, man solle dennoch den Stock des Baumes mit seinen Wurzeln bleiben lassen: dein Königreich soll dir bleiben, wenn du erkannt hast die Gewalt im Himmel.
27 For this cause, O King, let my suggestion be pleasing to you, and let your sins be covered by righteousness and your evil-doing by mercy to the poor, so that the time of your well-being may be longer.
27 C'est pourquoi, ô roi, puisse mon conseil te plaire! mets un terme à tes péchés en pratiquant la justice, et à tes iniquités en usant de compassion envers les malheureux, et ton bonheur pourra se prolonger.
27 Glac mo chomhairle dá bhrí sin, a rí: Ruaig uait do pheacaí leis an bhfíréantacht a chleachtadh agus d'urchóidí le déirc do bhochta d'fhonn go rachadh fad ar do shíocháin.”
27 Por tanto, oh rey, aprueba mi consejo, y redime tus pecados con justicia, y tus iniquidades con misericordias para con los pobres; que tal vez será eso una prolongación de tu tranquilidad.
27 Darum, Herr König, laß dir meinen Rat gefallen und mache dich los von deinen Sünden durch Gerechtigkeit und ledig von deiner Missetat durch Wohltat an den Armen, so wird dein Glück lange währen.
28 All this came to King Nebuchadnezzar.
28 Toutes ces choses se sont accomplies sur le roi Nebucadnetsar.

29 At the end of twelve months he was walking on the roof of his great house in Babylon.
29 Au bout de douze mois, comme il se promenait dans le palais royal à Babylone,

29 Denn nach zwölf Monaten, da der König auf der königlichen Burg zu Babel ging,
30 The king made answer and said, Is this not great Babylon, which I have made for the living-place of kings, by the strength of my power and for the glory of my honour?
30 le roi prit la parole et dit: N'est-ce pas ici Babylone la grande, que j'ai bâtie, comme résidence royale, par la puissance de ma force et pour la gloire de ma magnificence?

30 Habló el rey, y dijo: ¿No es ésta la gran Babilonia, que yo edifiqué para casa del reino, con la fuerza de mi poder, y para gloria de mi grandeza?
30 hob er an und sprach: Das ist die große Babel, die ich erbaut habe zum königlichen Hause durch meine große Macht, zu Ehren meiner Herrlichkeit.
31 While the word was still in the king's mouth, a voice came down from heaven, saying, O King Nebuchadnezzar, to you it is said: The kingdom has gone from you:
31 La parole était encore dans la bouche du roi, qu'une voix descendit du ciel: Apprends, roi Nebucadnetsar, qu'on va t'enlever le royaume.
31 Sula raibh na focail sin thar a bhéal aige thit guth ó na flaithis: Is leatsa a labhraíodh, a rí Nabúcadnazar! Tá an flaitheas imithe uait!
31 Aun estaba la palabra en la boca del rey, cuando cae una voz del cielo: A ti dicen, rey Nabucodonosor; el reino es traspasado de ti:
31 Ehe der König diese Worte ausgeredet hatte, fiel eine Stimme von Himmel: Dir, König Nebukadnezar, wird gesagt: dein Königreich soll dir genommen werden;
32 And they will send you out from among men, to be with the beasts of the field; they will give you grass for your food like the oxen, and seven times will go by you, till you are certain that the Most High is ruler in the kingdom of men, and gives it to any man at his pleasure.
32 On te chassera du milieu des hommes, tu auras ta demeure avec les bêtes des champs, on te donnera comme aux boeufs de l'herbe à manger; et sept temps passeront sur toi, jusqu'à ce que tu saches que le Très Haut domine sur le règne des hommes et qu'il le donne à qui il lui plaît.
32 Díbreofar thú ó chomhluadar daoine, agus lonnóidh tú le hainmhithe an mhachaire. Caithfidh tú féar a ithe dála an daimh, agus rachaidh seacht n‑aimsir tharat, chun go mbeidh a fhios agat gur ag an Té is Airde atá ardfhlaitheas ar ríocht na ndaoine, agus go dtugann sé í don té is áil leis.
32 Y de entre los hombres te echan, y con las bestias del campo será tu morada, y como á los bueyes te apacentarán: y siete tiempos pasarán sobre ti, hasta que conozcas que el Altísimo se enseñorea en el reino de los hombres, y á quien él quisiere lo da.
32 und man wird dich von den Leuten verstoßen, und sollst bei den Tieren, so auf dem Felde gehen, bleiben; Gras wird man dich essen lassen wie Ochsen, bis über dir sieben Zeiten um sind, auf daß du erkennst, daß der Höchste Gewalt hat über der Menschen Königreiche und gibt sie, wem er will.
33 That very hour the order about Nebuchadnezzar was put into effect: and he was sent out from among men, and had grass for his food like the oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till his hair became long as eagles' feathers and his nails like those of birds.
33 Au même instant la parole s'accomplit sur Nebucadnetsar. Il fut chassé du milieu des hommes, il mangea de l'herbe comme les boeufs, son corps fut trempé de la rosée du ciel; jusqu'à ce que ses cheveux crussent comme les plumes des aigles, et ses ongles comme ceux des oiseaux.
33 Tháinig an briathar chun críche ar Nabúcadnazar gan mhoill. Díbríodh ó chomhluadar daoine é, agus chrom sé ar fhéar a ithe dála an daimh; fliuchadh é ó dhrúcht neimhe nó gur fhás a ghruaig mar chleiteach iolair, agus a ingne mar chrúba éin.
33 En la misma hora se cumplió la palabra sobre Nabucodonosor, y fué echado de entre los hombres; y comía hierba como los bueyes, y su cuerpo se bañaba con el rocío del cielo, hasta que su pelo creció como de águila, y sus uñas como de aves.
33 Von Stund an ward das Wort vollbracht über Nebukadnezar, und er ward verstoßen von den Leuten hinweg, und er aß Gras wie Ochsen, und sein Leib lag unter dem Tau des Himmels, und er ward naß, bis sein Haar wuchs so groß wie Adlersfedern und seine Nägel wie Vogelsklauen wurden.
34 And at the end of the days, I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifting up my eyes to heaven, got back my reason, and, blessing the Most High, I gave praise and honour to him who is living for ever, whose rule is an eternal rule and whose kingdom goes on from generation to generation.
34 Après le temps marqué, moi, Nebucadnetsar, je levai les yeux vers le ciel, et la raison me revint. J'ai béni le Très Haut, j'ai loué et glorifié celui qui vit éternellement, celui dont la domination est une domination éternelle, et dont le règne subsiste de génération en génération.

34 Mas al fin del tiempo yo Nabucodonosor alcé mis ojos al cielo, y mi sentido me fué vuelto; y bendije al Altísimo, y alabé y glorifiqué al que vive para siempre; porque su señorío es sempiterno, y su reino por todas las edades.
34 Nach dieser Zeit hob ich, Nebukadnezar, meine Augen auf gen Himmel und kam wieder zur Vernunft und lobte den Höchsten. Ich pries und ehrte den, der ewiglich lebt, des Gewalt ewig ist und des Reich für und für währt,
35 And all the people of the earth are as nothing: he does his pleasure in the army of heaven and among the people of the earth: and no one is able to keep back his hand, or say to him, What are you doing?
35 Tous les habitants de la terre ne sont à ses yeux que néant: il agit comme il lui plaît avec l'armée des cieux et avec les habitants de la terre, et il n'y a personne qui résiste à sa main et qui lui dise: Que fais-tu?

35 Y todos los moradores de la tierra por nada son contados: y en el ejército del cielo, y en los habitantes de la tierra, hace según su voluntad: ni hay quien estorbe su mano, y le diga: ¿Qué haces?
35 gegen welchen alle, so auf Erden wohnen, als nichts zu rechnen sind. Er macht's, wie er will, mit den Kräften im Himmel und mit denen, so auf Erden wohnen; und niemand kann seiner Hand wehren noch zu ihm sagen: Was machst du?
36 At the same time my reason came back to me; and for the glory of my kingdom, my honour and my great name came back to me; and my wise men and my lords were turned to me again; and I was made safe in my kingdom and had more power than before.
36 En ce temps, la raison me revint; la gloire de mon royaume, ma magnificence et ma splendeur me furent rendues; mes conseillers et mes grands me redemandèrent; je fus rétabli dans mon royaume, et ma puissance ne fit que s'accroître.

36 En el mismo tiempo mi sentido me fué vuelto, y la majestad de mi reino, mi dignidad y mi grandeza volvieron á mí, y mis gobernadores y mis grandes me buscaron; y fuí restituído á mi reino, y mayor grandeza me fué añadida.
36 Zur selben Zeit kam ich wieder zur Vernunft, auch zu meinen königlichen Ehren, zu meiner Herrlichkeit und zu meiner Gestalt. Und meine Räte und Gewaltigen suchten mich, und ich ward wieder in mein Königreich gesetzt; und ich überkam noch größere Herrlichkeit.
37 Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, give worship and praise and honour to the King of heaven; for all his works are true and his ways are right: and those who go in pride he is able to make low.
37 Maintenant, moi, Nebucadnetsar, je loue, j'exalte et je glorifie le roi des cieux, dont toutes les oeuvres sont vraies et les voies justes, et qui peut abaisser ceux qui marchent avec orgueil.

37 Darum lobe ich, Nebukadnezar, und ehre und preise den König des Himmels; denn all sein Tun ist Wahrheit, und seine Wege sind recht, und wer stolz ist, den kann er demütigen.
