1 (49:1) Au chef des chantres. Des fils de Koré. Psaume. (49:2) Écoutez ceci, vous tous, peuples, Prêtez l'oreille, vous tous, habitants du monde,

1 OID esto, pueblos todos; Escuchad, habitadores todos del mundo:
1 (Ein Psalm der Kinder Korah, vorzusingen.) Höret zu, alle Völker; merket auf, alle, die in dieser Zeit leben,
2 High and low together, the poor, and those who have wealth.
2 (49:3) Petits et grands, Riches et pauvres!

2 Así los plebeyos como los nobles, El rico y el pobre juntamente.
2 beide, gemeiner Mann und Herren, beide, reich und arm, miteinander!
3 From my mouth will come words of wisdom; and in the thoughts of my heart will be knowledge.
3 (49:4) Ma bouche va faire entendre des paroles sages, Et mon coeur a des pensées pleines de sens.
3 Labhróidh mo bhéal briathra ciallmhara; is lán mo chroí de thuiscint.
3 Mi boca hablará sabiduría; Y el pensamiento de mi corazón inteligencia.
3 Mein Mund soll von Weisheit reden und mein Herz von Verstand sagen.
4 I will put my teaching into a story; I will make my dark sayings clear with music.
4 (49:5) Je prête l'oreille aux sentences qui me sont inspirées, J'ouvre mon chant au son de la harpe.
4 Claonfaidh mé mo chluas le fáthscéal, sceithfidh mé mo rún leis an gcláirseach.
4 Acomodaré á ejemplos mi oído: Declararé con el arpa mi enigma.
4 Ich will einem Spruch mein Ohr neigen und kundtun mein Rätsel beim Klange der Harfe.
5 What cause have I for fear in the days of evil, when the evil-doing of those who are working for my downfall is round about me?
5 (49:6) Pourquoi craindrais-je aux jours du malheur, Lorsque l'iniquité de mes adversaires m'enveloppe?
5 Cén fáth a mbeadh eagla orm lá an oilc agus mioscais lucht ceilge i mo thimpeall -
5 ¿Por qué he de temer en los días de adversidad, Cuando la iniquidad de mis insidiadores me cercare?
5 Warum sollte ich mich fürchten in bösen Tagen, wenn mich die Missetat meiner Untertreter umgibt,
6 Even of those whose faith is in their wealth, and whose hearts are lifted up because of their stores.
6 (49:7) Ils ont confiance en leurs biens, Et se glorifient de leur grande richesse.
6 dream a mbíonn a ndóchas ina saibhreas agus a mhaíonn as méid a maoine?
6 Los que confían en sus haciendas, Y en la muchedumbre de sus riquezas se jactan,
6 die sich verlassen auf ihr Gut und trotzen auf ihren großen Reichtum?
7 Truly, no man may get back his soul for a price, or give to God the payment for himself;
7 (49:8) Ils ne peuvent se racheter l'un l'autre, Ni donner à Dieu le prix du rachat.
7 Ní thig le haon duine é féin a fhuascailt ná éiric a anama a dhíol le Dia;
7 Ninguno de ellos podrá en manera alguna redimir al hermano, Ni dar á Dios su rescate.
7 Kann doch einen Bruder niemand erlösen noch ihn Gott versöhnen
8 (Because it takes a great price to keep his soul from death, and man is not able to give it.)
8 (49:9) Le rachat de leur âme est cher, Et n'aura jamais lieu;
8 is ródhaor aige éiric a anama.
8 (Porque la redención de su vida es de gran precio, Y no se hará jamás;)
8 (denn es kostet zuviel, eine Seele zu erlösen; man muß es anstehen lassen ewiglich),
9 So that he might have eternal life, and never see the underworld.
9 (49:10) Ils ne vivront pas toujours, Ils n'éviteront pas la vue de la fosse.
9 Ní thig leis síorbheatha a cheannach le súil nach bhfeice sé an uaigh.
9 Que viva adelante para siempre, Y nunca vea la sepultura.
9 daß er fortlebe immerdar und die Grube nicht sehe.
10 For he sees that wise men come to their end, and foolish persons of low behaviour come to destruction together, letting their wealth go to others.
10 (49:11) Car ils la verront: les sages meurent, L'insensé et le stupide périssent également, Et ils laissent à d'autres leurs biens.
10 Feiceann sé an saoi agus an daoi ar lár agus a maoin ag daoine eile ina ndiaidh.
10 Pues se ve que mueren los sabios, Así como el insensato y el necio perecen, Y dejan á otros sus riquezas.
10 Denn man wird sehen, daß die Weisen sterben sowohl als die Toren und Narren umkommen und müssen ihr Gut andern lassen.
11 The place of the dead is their house for ever, and their resting-place through all generations; those who come after them give their names to their lands.
11 (49:12) Ils s'imaginent que leurs maisons seront éternelles, Que leurs demeures subsisteront d'âge en âge, Eux dont les noms sont honorés sur la terre.
11 Tuamaí is dídean dóibh go brách, a n‑árais chónaithe ó ghlúin go chéile cé go mbíodh a n‑ainm in airde sa tír.
11 En su interior tienen que sus casas serán eternas, Y sus habitaciones para generación y generación: Llamaron sus tierras de sus nombres.
11 Das ist ihr Herz, daß ihre Häuser währen immerdar, ihre Wohnungen bleiben für und für; und haben große Ehre auf Erden.
12 But man, like the animals, does not go on for ever; he comes to an end like the beasts.
12 (49:13) Mais l'homme qui est en honneur n'a point de durée, Il est semblable aux bêtes que l'on égorge.
12 Óir ní buan é séan an duine; is cosúil é leis na beithígh a théann ar ceal.
12 Mas el hombre no permanecerá en honra: Es semejante á las bestias que perecen.
12 Dennoch kann ein Mensch nicht bleiben in solchem Ansehen, sondern muß davon wie ein Vieh.
13 This is the way of the foolish; their silver is for those who come after them, and their children get the pleasure of their gold. (Selah.)
13 (49:14) Telle est leur voie, leur folie, Et ceux qui les suivent se plaisent à leurs discours. -Pause.
13 Slí na baothmhuiníne a slí siúd, críoch na droinge lenarb áil a maoin. Tiomáintear iad mar chaoirigh chun na huaighe
13 Este su camino es su locura: Con todo, corren sus descendientes por el dicho de ellos. (Selah.)
13 Dies ihr Tun ist eitel Torheit; doch loben's ihre Nachkommen mit ihrem Munde. (Sela.)
14 Death will give them their food like sheep; the underworld is their fate and they will go down into it; their flesh is food for worms; their form is wasted away; the underworld is their resting-place for ever.
14 (49:15) Comme un troupeau, ils sont mis dans le séjour des morts, La mort en fait sa pâture; Et bientôt les hommes droits les foulent aux pieds, Leur beauté s'évanouit, le séjour des morts est leur demeure.
14 mar a ndéanfaidh an bás a n‑aoireacht agus mar a gcuirfear faoi smacht na bhfíréan iad. Imeoidh a dtaibhse ar maidin; san uaigh a bheidh a n‑áras acu feasta.
14 Como rebaños serán puestos en la sepultura; La muerte se cebará en ellos; Y los rectos se enseñorearán de ellos por la mañana: Y se consumirá su bien parecer en el sepulcro de su morada.
14 Sie liegen in der Hölle wie Schafe, der Tod weidet sie; aber die Frommen werden gar bald über sie herrschen, und ihr Trotz muß vergehen; in der Hölle müssen sie bleiben.
15 But God will get back my soul; for he will take me from the power of death. (Selah.)
15 (49:16) Mais Dieu sauvera mon âme du séjour des morts, Car il me prendra sous sa protection. -Pause.
15 Ach saorfaidh Dia m'anamsa ar ifreann an uair a ghlacfaidh sé chuige féin mé.
15 Empero Dios redimirá mi vida del poder de la sepultura, Cuando me tomará. (Selah.)
15 Aber Gott wird meine Seele erlösen aus der Hölle Gewalt; denn er hat mich angenommen. (Sela.)
16 Have no fear when wealth comes to a man, and the glory of his house is increased;
16 (49:17) Ne sois pas dans la crainte parce qu'un homme s'enrichit, Parce que les trésors de sa maison se multiplient;
16 Ná bíodh eagla ort má éiríonn duine saibhir; má mhéadaíonn ar mhaoin a theaghlaigh.
16 No temas cuando se enriquece alguno, Cuando aumenta la gloria de su casa;
16 Laß dich's nicht irren, ob einer reich wird, ob die Herrlichkeit seines Hauses groß wird.
17 For at his death, he will take nothing away; his glory will not go down after him.
17 (49:18) Car il n'emporte rien en mourant, Ses trésors ne descendent point après lui.
17 Nuair a éagfaidh sé ní bhéarfaidh sé dada leis, ná ní rachaidh a rachmas chun na huaighe leis.
17 Porque en muriendo no llevará nada, Ni descenderá tras él su gloria.
17 Denn er wird nichts in seinem Sterben mitnehmen, und seine Herrlichkeit wird ihm nicht nachfahren.
18 Though he might have pride in his soul in his life-time, and men will give you praise if you do well for yourself,
18 (49:19) Il aura beau s'estimer heureux pendant sa vie, On aura beau te louer des jouissances que tu te donnes,
18 Cé gur bhreá leis a shaol fad a mhair sé - “maífidh gach aon neach mo shéanmhaireacht” -
18 Si bien mientras viviere, dirá dichosa á su alma: Y tú serás loado cuando bien te tratares.
18 Er tröstet sich wohl dieses guten Lebens, und man preiset's, wenn einer sich gütlich tut;
19 He will go to the generation of his fathers; he will not see the light again.
19 (49:20) Tu iras néanmoins au séjour de tes pères, Qui jamais ne reverront la lumière.
19 rachaidh sé i bhfochair a shinsear nach bhfeicfidh an solas go brách.
19 Entrará á la generación de sus padres: No verán luz para siempre.
19 aber doch fahren sie ihren Vätern nach und sehen das Licht nimmermehr.

20 (49:21) L'homme qui est en honneur, et qui n'a pas d'intelligence, Est semblable aux bêtes que l'on égorge.

20 El hombre en honra que no entiende, Semejante es á las bestias que perecen.
20 Kurz, wenn ein Mensch in Ansehen ist und hat keinen Verstand, so fährt er davon wie ein Vieh.
