1 Manasseh was twelve years old when he became king, and he was ruling for fifty-five years in Jerusalem.

2 Mas hizo lo malo en ojos de Jehová, conforme á las abominaciones de las gentes que había echado Jehová delante de los hijos de Israel:

3 For he put up again the high places which had been pulled down by his father Hezekiah; and he made altars for the Baals, and pillars of wood, and was a worshipper and servant of all the stars of heaven;

3 und baute wieder Höhen, die sein Vater Hiskia abgebrochen hatte und stiftete den Baalim Altäre und machte Ascherabilder und betete an alles Heer des Himmels und diente ihnen.
4 And he made altars in the house of the Lord, of which the Lord had said, In Jerusalem will my name be for ever.
4 Il bâtit des autels dans la maison de l'Éternel, quoique l'Éternel eût dit: C'est dans Jérusalem que sera mon nom à perpétuité.

5 And he made altars for all the stars of heaven in the two outer squares of the house of the Lord.

6 More than this, he made his children go through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom; and he made use of secret arts, and signs for reading the future, and unnatural powers, and gave positions to those who had control of spirits and to wonder-workers: he did much evil in the eyes of the Lord, moving him to wrath.
6 Il fit passer ses fils par le feu dans la vallée des fils de Hinnom; il observait les nuages et les serpents pour en tirer des pronostics, il s'adonnait à la magie, et il établit des gens qui évoquaient les esprits et qui prédisaient l'avenir. Il fit de plus en plus ce qui est mal aux yeux de l'Éternel, afin de l'irriter.

6 Y pasó sus hijos por fuego en el valle de los hijos de Hinnom; y miraba en los tiempos, miraba en agüeros, era dado á adivinaciones, y consultaba pythones y encantadores: subió de punto en hacer lo malo en ojos de Jehová, para irritarle.
6 Und er ließ seine Söhne durchs Feuer gehen im Tal des Sohnes Hinnoms und wählte Tage und achtete auf Vogelgeschrei und zauberte und stiftete Wahrsager und Zeichendeuter und tat viel, was dem HERRN übel gefiel, ihn zu erzürnen.
7 And he put the image he had made in the house of God, the house of which God had said to David and to Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem, the town which I have made mine out of all the tribes of Israel, will I put my name for ever:

7 A más de esto puso una imagen de fundición, que hizo, en la casa de Dios, de la cual había dicho Dios á David y á Salomón su hijo: En esta casa y en Jerusalem, la cual yo elegí sobre todas las tribus de Israel, pondré mi nombre para siempre:
7 Er setzte auch das Bild des Götzen, das er machen ließ, ins Haus Gottes, davon Gott zu David geredet hatte und zu Salomo, seinem Sohn: In diesem Hause zu Jerusalem, das ich erwählt habe vor allen Stämmen Israels, will ich meinen Namen setzen ewiglich;
8 And never again will I let the feet of Israel be moved out of the land which I have given to their fathers; if only they will take care to do all my orders, even all the law and the orders and the rules given to them by Moses.
8 Je ne ferai plus sortir Israël du pays que j'ai destiné à vos pères, pourvu seulement qu'ils aient soin de mettre en pratique tout ce que je leur ai commandé, selon toute la loi, les préceptes et les ordonnances prescrits par Moïse.

8 Y nunca más quitaré el pie de Israel de la tierra que yo entregué á vuestros padres, á condición que guarden y hagan todas las cosas que yo les he mandado, toda la ley, estatutos, y ordenanzas, por mano de Moisés.
8 und will nicht mehr den Fuß Israels lassen weichen von dem Lande, das ich ihren Vätern bestellt habe, sofern sie sich halten, daß sie tun alles, was ich ihnen geboten habe, in allem Gesetz und den Geboten und Rechten durch Mose.
9 And Manasseh made Judah and the people of Jerusalem go out of the true way, so that they did more evil than those nations whom the Lord gave up to destruction before the children of Israel.
9 Mais Manassé fut cause que Juda et les habitants de Jérusalem s'égarèrent et firent le mal plus que les nations que l'Éternel avait détruites devant les enfants d'Israël.
9 Mheall Manaise Iúdá agus áitritheoirí Iarúsailéim le níos mó oilc a dhéanamh ná na náisiúin a scrios an Tiarna roimh chlann Iosrael.
9 Hizo pues Manasés desviarse á Judá y á los moradores de Jerusalem, para hacer más mal que las gentes que Jehová destruyó delante de los hijos de Israel.
9 Aber Manasse verführte Juda und die zu Jerusalem, daß sie ärger taten denn die Heiden, die der HERR vor den Kindern Israel vertilgt hatte.
10 And the word of the Lord came to Manasseh and his people, but they gave no attention.

11 So the Lord sent against them the captains of the army of Assyria, who made Manasseh a prisoner and took him away in chains to Babylon.

11 (33-10) por lo cual Jehová trajo contra ellos los generales del ejército del rey de los Asirios, los cuales aprisionaron con grillos á Manasés, y atado con cadenas lleváronlo á Babilonia.
11 Darum ließ der HERR über sie kommen die Fürsten des Heeres des Königs von Assyrien, die nahmen Manasse gefangen mit Fesseln und banden ihn mit Ketten und brachten ihn gen Babel.
12 And crying out to the Lord his God in his trouble, he made himself low before the God of his fathers,
12 Lorsqu'il fut dans la détresse, il implora l'Éternel, son Dieu, et il s'humilia profondément devant le Dieu de ses pères.

12 (33-11) Mas luego que fué puesto en angustias, oró ante Jehová su Dios, humillado grandemente en la presencia del Dios de sus padres.
12 Und da er in Angst war, flehte er vor dem HERRN, seinem Gott, und demütigte sich sehr vor dem Gott seiner Väter
13 And made prayer to him; and in answer to his prayer God let him come back to Jerusalem and to his kingdom. Then Manasseh was certain that the Lord was God.
13 Il lui adressa ses prières; et l'Éternel, se laissant fléchir, exauça ses supplications, et le ramena à Jérusalem dans son royaume. Et Manassé reconnut que l'Éternel est Dieu.

13 (33-12) Y habiendo á él orado, fué atendido; pues que oyó su oración, y volviólo á Jerusalem, á su reino. Entonces conoció Manasés que Jehová era Dios.
13 und bat und flehte zu ihm. Da erhörte er sein Flehen und brachte ihm wieder gen Jerusalem zu seinem Königreich. Da erkannte Manasse, daß der HERR Gott ist.
14 After this he made an outer wall for the town of David, on the west side of Gihon in the valley, as far as the way into the town by the fish doorway; and he put a very high wall round the Ophel; and he put captains of the army in all the walled towns of Judah.
14 Après cela, il bâtit en dehors de la ville de David, à l'occident, vers Guihon dans la vallée, un mur qui se prolongeait jusqu'à la porte des poissons et dont il entoura la colline, et il s'éleva à une grande hauteur; il mit aussi des chefs militaires dans toutes les villes fortes de Juda.

14 (33-13) Después de esto edificó el muro de afuera de la ciudad de David, al occidente de Gihón, en el valle, á la entrada de la puerta del pescado, y cercó á Ophel, y alzólo muy alto; y puso capitanes de ejército en todas las ciudades fuertes por Judá.
14 Darnach baute er die äußere Mauer an der Stadt Davids abendswärts an Gihon im Tal und wo man zum Fischtor eingeht und umher an den Ophel und machte sie sehr hoch und legte Hauptleute in die festen Städte Juda's
15 He took away the strange gods and the image out of the house of the Lord, and all the altars he had put up on the hill of the Lord's house and in Jerusalem, and put them out of the town.
15 Il fit disparaître de la maison de l'Éternel les dieux étrangers et l'idole, et il renversa tous les autels qu'il avait bâtis sur la montagne de la maison de l'Éternel et à Jérusalem; et il les jeta hors de la ville.

15 (33-14) Asimismo quitó los dioses ajenos, y el ídolo de la casa de Jehová, y todos los altares que había edificado en el monte de la casa de Jehová y en Jerusalem, y echólos fuera de la ciudad.
15 und tat weg die fremden Götter und den Götzen aus dem Hause des HERRN und alle Altäre, die er gebaut hatte auf dem Berge des Hauses des HERRN und zu Jerusalem, und warf sie hinaus vor die Stadt
16 And he put the altar of the Lord in order, offering peace-offerings and praise-offerings on it, and said that all Judah were to be servants of the Lord, the God of Israel.
16 Il rétablit l'autel de l'Éternel et y offrit des sacrifices d'actions de grâces et de reconnaissance, et il ordonna à Juda de servir l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël.
16 D'atóg sé altóir an Tiarna agus d'ofráil sé íobairtí síochána agus buíochais uirthi, agus d'ordaigh sé do Iúdá seirbhís a dhéanamh don Tiarna, Dia Iosrael.
16 (33-15) Reparó luego el altar de Jehová, y sacrificó sobre él sacrificios pacíficos y de alabanza; y mandó á Judá que sirviesen á Jehová Dios de Israel.
16 und richtete zu den Altar des HERRN und opferte darauf Dankopfer und Lobopfer und befahl Juda, daß sie dem HERRN, dem Gott Israels, dienen sollten.
17 However, the people still made offerings in the high places, but only to the Lord their God.
17 Le peuple sacrifiait bien encore sur les hauts lieux, mais seulement à l'Éternel, son Dieu.

17 (33-16) Empero el pueblo aun sacrificaba en los altos, bien que á Jehová su Dios.

18 Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh, and his prayer to his God, and the words which the seers said to him in the name of the Lord, the God of Israel, are recorded among the acts of the kings of Israel.
18 Le reste des actions de Manassé, sa prière à son Dieu, et les paroles des prophètes qui lui parlèrent au nom de l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël, cela est écrit dans les actes des rois d'Israël.

18 (33-17) Lo demás de los hechos de Manasés, y su oración á su Dios, y las palabras de los videntes que le hablaron en nombre de Jehová el Dios de Israel, he aquí todo está escrito en los hechos de los reyes de Israel.
18 Was aber mehr von Manasse zu sagen ist und sein Gebet zu seinem Gott und die Reden der Seher, die mit ihm redeten im Namen des HERRN, des Gottes Israels, siehe, die sind unter den Geschichten der Könige Israels.
19 And the prayer which he made to God, and how God gave him an answer, and all his sin and his wrongdoing, and the places where he made high places and put up pillars of wood and images, before he put away his pride, are recorded in the history of the seers.

19 (33-18) Su oración también, y cómo fué oído, todos sus pecados, y su prevaricación, los lugares donde edificó altos y había puesto bosques é ídolos antes que se humillase, he aquí estas cosas están escritas en las palabras de los videntes.
19 Und sein Gebet und Flehen und alle seine Sünde und Missetat und die Stätten, darauf er die Höhen baute und Ascherabilder und Götzen stiftete, ehe denn er gedemütigt ward, siehe, die sind geschrieben unter den Geschichten der Seher.
20 So Manasseh went to rest with his fathers, and they put his body to rest in his house, and Amon his son became king in his place.
20 Manassé se coucha avec ses pères, et on l'enterra dans sa maison. Et Amon, son fils, régna à sa place.

20 (33-19) Y durmió Manasés con sus padres, y sepultáronlo en su casa: y reinó en su lugar Amón su hijo.
20 Und Manasse entschlief mit seinen Vätern und sie begruben ihn in seinem Hause. Und sein Sohn Amon ward König an seiner Statt.
21 Amon was twenty-two years old when he became king; and he was ruling for two years in Jerusalem.
21 Amon avait vingt-deux ans lorsqu'il devint roi, et il régna deux ans à Jérusalem.

21 (33-20) De veinte y dos años era Amón cuando comenzo á reinar, y dos años reinó en Jerusalem.
21 Zweiundzwanzig Jahre alt war Amon, da er König ward, und regierte zwei Jahre zu Jerusalem
22 He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, as Manasseh his father had done; and Amon made offerings to all the images which his father Manasseh had made, and was their servant.

22 (33-21) E hizo lo malo en ojos de Jehová, como había hecho Manasés su padre: porque á todos los ídolos que su padre Manasés había hecho, sacrificó y sirvió Amón.
22 und tat, was dem HERRN übel gefiel, wie sein Vater Manasse getan hatte. Und Amon opferte allen Götzen, die sein Vater Manasse gemacht hatte, und diente ihnen.
23 He did not make himself low before the Lord, as his father Manasseh had done, but went on sinning more and more.
23 et il ne s'humilia pas devant l'Éternel, comme s'était humilié Manassé, son père, car lui, Amon, se rendit de plus en plus coupable.

23 (33-22) Mas nunca se humilló delante de Jehová, como se humilló Manasés su padre: antes aumentó el pecado.
23 Aber er demütigte sich nicht vor dem HERRN, wie sich sein Vater Manasse gedemütigt hatte; denn er, Amon machte der Schuld viel.
24 And his servants made a secret design against him, and put him to death in his house.
24 Ses serviteurs conspirèrent contre lui, et le firent mourir dans sa maison.

25 But the people of the land put to death all those who had taken part in the design against King Amon, and made his son Josiah king in his place.
25 Mais le peuple du pays frappa tous ceux qui avaient conspiré contre le roi Amon; et le peuple du pays établit roi Josias, son fils, à sa place.
25 Ach rinne muintir na tuaithe iad siúd a rinne comhcheilg in aghaidh an rí, Ámón, a chur chun báis agus d'fhógair siad a mhac Ióisíá ina rí ina áit.
25 (33-24) Mas el pueblo de la tierra hirió á todos los que habían conspirado contra el rey Amón; y el pueblo de la tierra puso por rey en su lugar á Josías su hijo.
25 Da schlug das Volk im Lande alle, die den Bund wider den König Amon gemacht hatten. Und das Volk im Lande macht Josia, seinen Sohn zum König an seiner Statt.
