1 Now after these things and this true-hearted work, Sennacherib, king of Assyria, came into Judah, and put his army in position before the walled towns of Judah, designing to make his way into them by force.
1 Après ces choses et ces actes de fidélité, parut Sanchérib, roi d'Assyrie, qui pénétra en Juda, et assiégea les villes fortes, dans l'intention de s'en emparer.

1 Después de estas cosas y de esta fidelidad, vino Sennachêrib rey de los Asirios, entró en Judá, y asentó campo contra las ciudades fuertes, y determinó de entrar en ellas.
1 Nach diesen Geschichten und dieser Treue kam Sanherib, der König von Assyrien, und zog nach Juda und lagerten sich vor die festen Städte und gedachte, sie zu sich zu reißen.
2 And when Hezekiah saw that Sennacherib had come for the purpose of fighting against Jerusalem,
2 Ézéchias, voyant que Sanchérib était venu et qu'il se proposait d'attaquer Jérusalem,
2 Thuig Hiziciá go raibh Sanaichéiríb tagtha agus é meáite ar Iarúsailéim a ionsaí;
2 Viendo pues Ezechîas la venida de Sennachêrib, y su aspecto de combatir á Jerusalem,
2 Und da Hiskia sah, daß Sanherib kam und sein Angesicht stand zu streiten wider Jerusalem,
3 He took up with his rulers and men of war the question of stopping up the water-springs outside the town; and they gave him their support.
3 tint conseil avec ses chefs et ses hommes vaillants, afin de boucher les sources d'eau qui étaient hors de la ville; et ils furent de son avis.
3 bheartaigh sé féin agus a thaoisigh agus a churaidh na foinsí uisce a bhí lasmuigh den chathair a stopadh; chabhraigh oifigigh an airm leis,
3 Tuvo su consejo con sus príncipes y con sus valerosos, sobre cegar las fuentes de las aguas que estaban fuera de la ciudad; y ellos le apoyaron.
3 ward er Rats mit seinen Obersten und Gewaltigen, zuzudecken die Wasser der Brunnen, die draußen vor der Stadt waren; und sie halfen ihm.
4 So they got together a great number of people, and had all the water-springs and the stream flowing through the land stopped up, saying, Why let the kings of Assyria come and have much water?
4 Une foule de gens se rassemblèrent, et ils bouchèrent toutes les sources et le ruisseau qui coule au milieu de la contrée. Pourquoi, disaient-ils, les rois d'Assyrie trouveraient-ils à leur arrivée des eaux en abondance?

4 Juntóse pues mucho pueblo, y cegaron todas las fuentes, y el arroyo que derrama por en medio del territorio, diciendo: ¿Por qué han de hallar los reyes de Asiria muchas aguas cuando vinieren?
4 Und es versammelte sich ein großes Volk und deckten zu alle Brunnen und den Bach, der mitten durchs Land fließt, und sprachen: Daß die Könige von Assyrien nicht viel Wasser finden, wenn sie kommen.
5 Then he took heart, building up the wall where it was broken down, and making its towers higher, and building another wall outside; and he made strong the Millo in the town of David, and got together a great store of all sorts of instruments of war.
5 Ézéchias prit courage; il reconstruisit la muraille qui était en ruine et l'éleva jusqu'aux tours, bâtit un autre mur en dehors, fortifia Millo dans la cité de David, et prépara une quantité d'armes et de boucliers.
5 Chrom Hiziciá ar a shuíomh a dhaingniú; dheisigh sé na bearnaí sa bhalla, thóg sé túir air, agus thóg sé balla nua lasmuigh de. Dhaingnigh sé an Mileo i gcathair Dháiví. Rinne sé raidhse airm agus sciatha.
5 Alentóse así Ezechîas, y edificó todos los muros caídos, é hizo alzar las torres, y otro muro por de fuera: fortificó además á Millo en la ciudad de David, é hizo muchas espadas y paveses.
5 Und er ward getrost und baute alle Mauern, wo sie lückig waren, und machte Türme darauf und baute draußen noch die andere Mauer und befestigte Millo an der Stadt Davids und machte viel Waffen und Schilde
6 And he put war chiefs over the people, and sent for them all to come together to him in the wide place at the doorway into the town, and to give them heart he said to them,
6 Il donna des chefs militaires au peuple, et les réunit auprès de lui sur la place de la porte de la ville. S'adressant à leur coeur, il dit:

6 Y puso capitanes de guerra sobre el pueblo, é hízolos reunir así en la plaza de la puerta de la ciudad, y hablóles al corazón de ellos, diciendo:
6 und setzte Hauptleute zum Streit über das Volk und sammelte sie zu sich auf die breite Gasse am Tor der Stadt und redete herzlich mit ihnen und sprach:
7 Be strong and take heart; have no fear, and do not be troubled on account of the king of Assyria and all the great army with him: for there is a greater with us.
7 Fortifiez-vous et ayez du courage! Ne craignez point et ne soyez point effrayés devant le roi d'Assyrie et devant toute la multitude qui est avec lui; car avec nous il y a plus qu'avec lui.
7 “Bíodh neart agus misneach agaibh! Ná cuireadh rí na hAsaíre agus an mathshlua atá in éineacht leis eagla ná uafás oraibh, óir is treise an té atá inár dteannta ná an té atá ina theanntasan.
7 Esforzaos y confortaos; no temáis, ni hayáis miedo del rey de Asiria, ni de toda su multitud que con él viene; porque más son con nosotros que con él.
7 Seid getrost und frisch, fürchtet euch nicht und zagt nicht vor dem König von Assyrien noch vor all dem Haufen, der bei ihm ist; denn es ist ein Größerer mit uns als mit ihm:
8 With him is an arm of flesh; but we have the Lord our God, helping us and fighting for us. And the people put their faith in what Hezekiah, king of Judah, said.
8 Avec lui est un bras de chair, et avec nous l'Éternel, notre Dieu, qui nous aidera et qui combattra pour nous. Le peuple eut confiance dans les paroles d'Ézéchias, roi de Juda.
8 Níl leis siúd ach lámh feola, ach tá an Tiarna ár nDia linne, le cabhair a thabhairt dúinn agus lenár gcathanna a throid.” Thug focail Hiziciá rí Iúdá misneach don phobal.
8 Con él es el brazo de carne, mas con nosotros Jehová nuestro Dios para ayudarnos, y pelear nuestras batallas. Y afirmóse el pueblo sobre las palabras de Ezechîas rey de Judá.
8 Mit ihm ist sein fleischlicher Arm; mit uns aber ist der HERR, unser Gott, daß er uns helfe und führe den Streit. Und das Volk verließ sich auf die Worte Hiskias, des Königs Juda's.
9 After this, Sennacherib, king of Assyria, sent his servants to Jerusalem (at that time he was stationed with all his army in front of Lachish), to say to Hezekiah and all the men of Judah in Jerusalem,
9 Après cela, Sanchérib, roi d'Assyrie, envoya ses serviteurs à Jérusalem, pendant qu'il était devant Lakis avec toutes ses forces; il les envoya vers Ézéchias, roi de Juda, et vers tous ceux de Juda qui étaient à Jérusalem, pour leur dire:

9 Después de esto Sennachêrib rey de los Asirios, estando él sobre Lachîs y con él toda su potencia, envió sus siervos á Jerusalem, para decir á Ezechîas rey de Judá, y á todos los de Judá que estaban en Jerusalem:
9 Darnach sandte Sanherib, der König von Assyrien, seine Knechte gen Jerusalem (denn er lag vor Lachis und alle seine Herrschaft mit ihm) zu Hiskia, dem König Juda's, und zum ganzen Juda, das zu Jerusalem war, und ließ ihm sagen:
10 Sennacherib, king of Assyria, says, In what are you placing your hope, waiting here in the walled town of Jerusalem?
10 Ainsi parle Sanchérib, roi d'Assyrie: Sur quoi repose votre confiance, pour que vous restiez à Jérusalem dans la détresse?
10 “Mar seo a deir Sanaichéiríb rí na hAsaíre: ‘Cad as a bhfuil sé de mhuinín agaibh fanacht in Iarúsailéim agus é faoi léigear?
10 Así ha dicho Sennachêrib rey de los Asirios: ¿En quién confiáis vosotros para estar cercados en Jerusalem?
10 So spricht Sanherib, der König von Assyrien: Wes vertröstet ihr euch, die ihr wohnt in dem belagerten Jerusalem?
11 Is it not Hezekiah who has got you to do it, causing your death from need of food and water, by saying, The Lord our God will give us salvation out of the hands of the king of Assyria?
11 Ézéchias ne vous abuse-t-il pas pour vous livrer à la mort par la famine et par la soif, quand il dit: L'Éternel, notre Dieu, nous sauvera de la main du roi d'Assyrie?
11 Nach bhfuil Hiziciá do bhur gcur amú? Nach bhfuil sé do bhur ndaoradh chun báis de ghorta agus de thart nuair a deir sé: “Déanfaidh an Tiarna ár nDia sinn a fhuascailt ó láimh rí na hAsaíre”?
11 ¿No os engaña Ezechîas para entregaros á muerte, á hambre, y á sed, diciendo: Jehová nuestro Dios nos librará de la mano del rey de Asiria?
11 Hiskia beredet euch, daß er euch gebe in den Tod durch Hunger und Durst, und spricht: Der HERR, unser Gott, wird uns erretten von der Hand des Königs von Assyrien.
12 Has not this same Hezekiah taken away his high places and his altars, saying to Judah and Jerusalem, Give worship before one altar only, burning offerings on it?
12 N'est-ce pas lui, Ézéchias, qui a fait disparaître les hauts lieux et les autels de l'Éternel, et qui a donné cet ordre à Juda et à Jérusalem: Vous vous prosternerez devant un seul autel, et vous y offrirez les parfums?
12 Nach hé an Hiziciá seo an té a scuab a ardionaid chun siúil agus a thug mar ordú do Iúdá agus Iarúsailéim: “Ná déanaigí adhradh ach os comhair an aon altóra agus ná hofrálaigí túis ach uirthi amháin”?
12 ¿No es Ezechîas el que ha quitado sus altos y sus altares, y dijo á Judá y á Jerusalem: Delante de este solo altar adoraréis, y sobre él quemaréis perfume?
12 Ist er nicht der Hiskia, der seine Höhen und Altäre weggetan hat und gesagt zu Juda und Jerusalem: Vor einem Altar sollt ihr anbeten und darauf räuchern?
13 Have you no knowledge of what I and my fathers have done to all the peoples of every land? were the gods of the nations of those lands able to keep their land from falling into my hands?
13 Ne savez-vous pas ce que nous avons fait, moi et mes pères, à tous les peuples des autres pays? Les dieux des nations de ces pays ont-ils pu délivrer leurs pays de ma main?
13 Nach bhfuil a fhios agaibh cad tá déanta agamsa agus ag mo shinsir le muintir na dtíortha eile go léir? An raibh sé ar chumas déithe aon chine sna tíortha sin a gcríocha a shaoradh uaimse?
13 ¿No habéis sabido lo que yo y mis padres hemos hecho á todos los pueblos de la tierra? ¿Pudieron los dioses de las gentes de las tierras librar su tierra de mi mano?
13 Wißt ihr nicht, was ich und meine Väter getan haben allen Völkern in den Ländern? Haben auch die Götter der Heiden in den Ländern können ihre Länder erretten von meiner Hand?
14 Who was there among all the gods of those nations, which my fathers put to destruction, who was able to keep his people safe from my hands? and is it possible that your God will keep you safe from my hands?
14 Parmi tous les dieux de ces nations que mes pères ont exterminées, quel est celui qui a pu délivrer son peuple de ma main, pour que votre Dieu puisse vous délivrer de ma main?
14 Cén dia de na déithe sin go léir leis na ciníocha a chuir m'athair faoin mbang, a d'fhéad a phobal a shaoradh ó mo ghreim, á rá is go bhféadfadh bhur nDia sibhse a fhuascailt ó mo ghreim?
14 ¿Qué dios hubo de todos los dioses de aquellas gentes que destruyeron mis padres, que pudiese salvar su pueblo de mis manos? ¿Por qué podrá vuestro Dios libraros de mi mano?
14 Wer ist unter allen Göttern dieser Heiden, die meine Väter verbannt haben, der sein Volk habe erretten können von meiner Hand, daß euer Gott euch sollte erretten können aus meiner Hand?
15 So do not be tricked by Hezekiah or let him get you to do this, and do not put any faith in what he says: for no god of any nation or kingdom has been able to keep his people safe from my hands, or the hands of my fathers: how much less will your God keep you safe from my hands!
15 Qu'Ézéchias ne vous séduise donc point et qu'il ne vous abuse point ainsi; ne vous fiez pas à lui! Car aucun dieu d'aucune nation ni d'aucun royaume n'a pu délivrer son peuple de ma main et de la main de mes pères: combien moins votre Dieu vous délivrera-t-il de ma main?
15 Ná cuireadh Hiziciá amú sibh, ná cuireadh sé dallamullóg oraibh ar an tslí seo. Ná géilligí dó! Óir níor fhéad dia aon chine ná aon ríochta a phobal a fhuascailt ó mo ghreim ná ó ghreim mo shinsear. Nach lú go mór ná sin a fhéadfaidh bhur nDia sibh a fhuascailt ó mo ghreim!’ ”
15 Ahora pues, no os engañe Ezechîas, ni os persuada tal cosa, ni le creáis; que si ningún dios de todas aquellas naciones y reinos pudo librar su pueblo de mis manos, y de las manos de mis padres, ¿cuánto menos vuestro Dios os podrá librar de mi mano?
15 So laßt euch nun Hiskia nicht betrügen und laßt euch durch solches nicht bereden und glaubt ihm nicht. Denn so kein Gott aller Heiden und Königreiche hat sein Volk können von meiner und meiner Väter Hände erretten, so werden euch auch eure Götter nicht erretten können von meiner Hand.
16 And his servants said even more against the Lord God and against his servant Hezekiah.
16 Les serviteurs de Sanchérib parlèrent encore contre l'Éternel Dieu, et contre Ézéchias, son serviteur.
16 Bhí a shearbhóntaí ag leanúint orthu ag cáinseoireacht faoin Tiarna Dia agus faoina shearbhónta Hiziciá,
16 Y otras cosas hablaron sus siervos contra el Dios Jehová, y contra su siervo Ezechîas.
16 Dazu redeten seine Knechte noch mehr wider Gott den HERRN und wider seinen Knecht Hiskia.
17 And he sent letters, in addition, to put shame on the Lord, the God of Israel, and to say evil against him, saying, As the gods of the nations of other lands have not been able to keep their people safe from my hands, no more will the God of Hezekiah keep his people safe from my hands.
17 Et il envoya une lettre insultante pour l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël, en s'exprimant ainsi contre lui: De même que les dieux des nations des autres pays n'ont pu délivrer leur peuple de ma main, de même le Dieu d'Ézéchias ne délivrera pas son peuple de ma main.
17 nuair a scríobh [Sanaichéiríb] litir ag aithisiú agus ag bréagnú Dia Iosrael: “Ní dhéanfaidh Dia Hiziciá a phobal a fhuascailt ó mo ghreim díreach faoi mar nár fhuascail déithe na gciníocha i dtíortha eile a bpobal ó mo ghreim.”
17 Además de todo esto escribió letras en que blasfemaba á Jehová el Dios de Israel, y hablaba contra él, diciendo: Como los dioses de las gentes de los países no pudieron librar su pueblo de mis manos, tampoco el Dios de Ezechîas librará al suyo de mis manos.
17 Auch schrieb er Briefe, Hohn zu sprechen dem HERRN, dem Gott Israels, und redete von ihm und sprach: Wie die Götter der Heiden in den Ländern Ihr Volk nicht haben errettet von meiner Hand, so wird auch der Gott Hiskias sein Volk nicht erretten von meiner Hand.
18 These things they said, crying out with a loud voice in the Jews' language, to the people of Jerusalem who were on the wall, with the purpose of troubling them and putting fear into them, so that they might take the town;
18 Les serviteurs de Sanchérib crièrent à haute voix en langue judaïque, afin de jeter l'effroi et l'épouvante parmi le peuple de Jérusalem qui était sur la muraille, et de pouvoir ainsi s'emparer de la ville.
18 Liúigh siad na nithe sin in ard a ngutha i dteanga Iúdá le pobal Iarúsailéim ar na ballaí d'fhonn iad a bhuaireamh agus eagla a chur orthu, agus go ngabhfaidís an chathair ar an tslí sin.
18 Y clamaron á gran voz en judaico al pueblo de Jerusalem que estaba en los muros, para espantarlos y ponerles temor, para tomar la ciudad.
18 Und sie riefen mit lauter Stimme auf jüdisch zum Volk zu Jerusalem, das auf der Mauer war, sie furchtsam zu machen und zu erschrecken, daß sie die Stadt gewönnen,
19 Talking of the God of Jerusalem as if he was like the gods of the peoples of the earth, the work of men's hands.
19 Ils parlèrent du Dieu de Jérusalem comme des dieux des peuples de la terre, ouvrages de mains d'homme.
19 Labhraíodar faoi Dhia Iarúsailéim amhail is dá mba cheann de dhéithe phobail eile an domhain é, agus is saothar lámha daoine iadsan. Toradh ar Ghuí Hiziciá
19 Y hablaron contra el Dios de Jerusalem, como contra los dioses de los pueblos de la tierra, obra de manos de hombres.
19 und redeten wider den Gott Jerusalems wie wider die Götter der Völker auf Erden, die Menschenhände Werk waren.
20 And Hezekiah the king, and Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, made prayer because of this, crying out to heaven.
20 Le roi Ézéchias et le prophète Ésaïe, fils d'Amots, se mirent à prier à ce sujet, et ils crièrent au ciel.
20 Sa chruachás sin dóibh, ghuigh an rí Hiziciá agus an fáidh Íseáia mac Ámóz agus ghlaoigh siad chun na bhflaitheas.
20 Mas el rey Ezechîas, y el profeta Isaías hijo de Amós, oraron por esto, y clamaron al cielo.
20 Aber der König Hiskia und der Prophet Jesaja, der Sohn des Amoz, beteten dawider und schrieen gen Himmel.
21 And the Lord sent an angel who put to death all the men of war and the chiefs and the captains in the army of the king of Assyria. So he went back to his country in shame. And when he came into the house of his god, his sons, the offspring of his body, put him to death there with the sword.
21 Alors l'Éternel envoya un ange, qui extermina dans le camp du roi d'Assyrie tous les vaillants hommes, les princes et les chefs. Et le roi confus retourna dans son pays. Il entra dans la maison de son dieu, et là ceux qui étaient sortis de ses entrailles le firent tomber par l'épée.
21 Chuir an Tiarna aingeal uaidh amach a chuir chun báis na curaidh go léir, agus na ceannairí agus na hoifigigh i gcampa rí na hAsaíre. D'fhill sé agus náire shaolta air, abhaile ar a thír féin. Chuaigh sé isteach i dteampall a dhé, agus threascair cuid dá chlann mhac féin é le faobhar claímh.
21 Y Jehová envió un ángel, el cual hirió á todo valiente y esforzado, y á los jefes y capitanes en el campo del rey de Asiria. Volvióse por tanto con vergüenza de rostro á su tierra; y entrando en el templo de su dios, allí lo mataron á cuchillo los que habían salido de sus entrañas.
21 Und der HERR sandte einen Engel, der vertilgte alle Gewaltigen des Heeres und Fürsten und Obersten im Lager des Königs von Assyrien, daß er mit Schanden wieder in sein Land zog. Und da er in seines Gottes Haus ging, fällten ihn daselbst durchs Schwert, die von seinem eigenen Leib gekommen waren.
22 So the Lord gave Hezekiah and the people of Jerusalem salvation from the power of Sennacherib, the king of Assyria, and from all others, giving them rest on every side.
22 Ainsi l'Éternel sauva Ézéchias et les habitants de Jérusalem de la main de Sanchérib, roi d'Assyrie, et de la main de tous, et il les protégea contre ceux qui les entouraient.
22 Rinne an Tiarna Hiziciá agus áitritheoirí Iarúsailéim a fhuascailt ó chumhacht Shanaichéiríb rí na hAsaíre agus ó chumhacht a naimhde go léir, ar an tslí sin, agus thug sé síocháin dóibh ar gach taobh.
22 Así salvó Jehová á Ezechîas y á los moradores de Jerusalem de las manos de Sennachêrib rey de Asiria, y de las manos de todos: y preservólos de todas partes.
22 Also half der HERR dem Hiskia und denen zu Jerusalem aus der Hand Sanheribs, des Königs von Assyrien, und aller andern und gab ihnen Ruhe umher,
23 And great numbers came to Jerusalem with offerings for the Lord, and things of great price for Hezekiah, king of Judah: so that he was honoured among all nations from that time.
23 Beaucoup de gens apportèrent dans Jérusalem des offrandes à l'Éternel, et de riches présents à Ézéchias, roi de Juda, qui depuis lors fut élevé aux yeux de toutes les nations.

23 Y muchos trajeron ofrenda á Jehová á Jerusalem, y á Ezechîas rey de Judá, ricos dones; y fué muy grande delante de todas las gentes después de esto.

24 In those days Hezekiah was ill and near death; and he made prayer to the Lord, and the Lord in answer gave him a sign.
24 En ce temps-là, Ézéchias fut malade à la mort. Il fit une prière à l'Éternel; et l'Éternel lui adressa la parole, et lui accorda un prodige.
24 Sna laethanta úd buaileadh Hiziciá tinn agus bhí sé i mbéal báis. Ghuigh sé chun an Tiarna agus d'éist sé leis agus thug comhartha dó.
24 En aquel tiempo Ezechîas enfermó de muerte: y oró á Jehová, el cual le respondió, y dióle una señal.
24 Zu der Zeit ward Hiskia todkrank. Und er bat den HERRN; der redete zu ihm und gab ihm ein Wunderzeichen.
25 But Hezekiah did not do as had been done to him; for his heart was lifted up in pride; and so wrath came on him and on Judah and Jerusalem.
25 Mais Ézéchias ne répondit point au bienfait qu'il avait reçu, car son coeur s'éleva; et la colère de l'Éternel fut sur lui, sur Juda et sur Jérusalem.
25 Ach ní dhearna Hiziciá aon chúiteamh ar son a ndearnadh dó; d'at a chroí le huabhar agus tháinig fraoch na feirge sa mhullach air féin, ar Iúdá, agus ar Iarúsailéim.
25 Mas Ezechîas no pagó conforme al bien que le había sido hecho: antes se enalteció su corazón, y fué la ira contra él, y contra Judá y Jerusalem.
25 Aber Hiskia vergalt nicht, wie ihm gegeben war; denn sein Herz überhob sich. Darum kam der Zorn über ihn und über Juda und Jerusalem.
26 But then, Hezekiah, in sorrow for what he had done, put away his pride; and he and all Jerusalem made themselves low, so that the wrath of the Lord did not come on them in Hezekiah's life-time.
26 Alors Ézéchias, du sein de son orgueil, s'humilia avec les habitants de Jérusalem, et la colère de l'Éternel ne vint pas sur eux pendant la vie d'Ézéchias.
26 Rinne Hiziciá é féin a umhlú i dtaobh uabhar a chroí, agus rinne áitritheoirí Iarúsailéim mar an gcéanna, i dtreo nár tháinig fearg an Tiarna sa mhullach orthu le linn Hiziciá.
26 Empero Ezechîas, después de haberse engreído su corazón, se humilló, él y los moradores de Jerusalem; y no vino sobre ellos la ira de Jehová en los días de Ezechîas.
26 Aber Hiskia demütigte sich, daß sein Herz sich überhoben hatte, samt denen zu Jerusalem; darum kam der Zorn des HERRN nicht über sie, solange Hiskia lebte.
27 And Hezekiah had very great wealth and honour; and he made himself store-houses for his gold and silver and jewels and spices, and for body-covers and all sorts of beautiful vessels.
27 Ézéchias eut beaucoup de richesses et de gloire. Il se fit des trésors d'argent, d'or, de pierres précieuses, d'aromates, de boucliers et de tous les objets qu'on peut désirer;
27 Bhí saibhreas agus clú go raidhsiúil ag Hiziciá. Thóg sé cistí dó féin i gcomhair a chuid airgid agus óir agus cloch lómhar, agus spíosraí, agus sciath, agus seod de gach sórt.
27 Y tuvo Ezechîas riquezas y gloria mucha en gran manera; é hízose de tesoros de plata y oro, de piedras preciosas, de aromas, de escudos, y de todas alhajas de desear;
27 Und Hiskia hatte sehr großen Reichtum und Ehre und machte sich Schätze von Silber, Gold, Edelsteinen, Gewürzen, Schilden und allerlei köstlichem Geräte
28 And store-houses for the produce of grain and wine and oil; and buildings for all sorts of beasts and flocks.
28 des magasins pour les produits en blé, en moût et en huile, des crèches pour toute espèce de bétail, et des étables pour les troupeaux.

28 und Vorratshäuser zu dem Ertrag an Getreide, Most und Öl und Ställe für allerlei Vieh und Hürden für die Schafe,
29 And he made towns for himself, and got together much property in flocks and herds: for God had given him great wealth.
29 Il se bâtit des villes, et il eut en abondance des troupeaux de menu et de gros bétail; car Dieu lui avait donné des biens considérables.

29 und er baute sich Städte und hatte Vieh an Schafen und Rindern die Menge; denn Gott gab ihm sehr großes Gut.
30 It was Hezekiah who had the higher spring of the water of Gihon stopped, and the water taken down on the west side of the town of David. In everything he undertook, Hezekiah did well.
30 Ce fut aussi lui, Ézéchias, qui boucha l'issue supérieure des eaux de Guihon, et les conduisit en bas vers l'occident de la cité de David. Ézéchias réussit dans toutes ses entreprises.

30 Este Ezechîas tapó los manaderos de las aguas de Gihón la de arriba, y encaminólas abajo al occidente de la ciudad de David. Y fué prosperado Ezechîas en todo lo que hizo.
30 Er ist der Hiskia, der die obere Wasserquelle in Gihon zudeckte und leitete sie hinunter abendwärts von der Stadt Davids; denn Hiskia war glücklich in allen seinen Werken.
31 However, in the business of the representatives sent by the rulers of Babylon to get news of the wonder which had taken place in the land, God gave up guiding him, testing him to see what was in his heart.
31 Cependant, lorsque les chefs de Babylone envoyèrent des messagers auprès de lui pour s'informer du prodige qui avait eu lieu dans le pays, Dieu l'abandonna pour l'éprouver, afin de connaître tout ce qui était dans son coeur.
31 Fiú amháin i gcás na dteachtairí ó thaoisigh na Bablóine a tháinig chun ceist a chur faoin rud iontach a tharla sa tír, níor thréig Dia é ach lena phromhadh agus le rúin a chroí a fháil amach.
31 Empero en lo de los embajadores de los príncipes de Babilonia, que enviaron á él para saber del prodigio que había acaecido en aquella tierra, Dios lo dejó, para probarle, para hacer conocer todo lo que estaba en su corazón.
31 Da aber die Botschafter der Fürsten von Babel zu ihm gesandt waren, zu fragen nach dem Wunder, das im Lande geschehen war, verließ ihn Gott also, daß er ihn versuchte, auf daß kund würde alles, was in seinem Herzen war.
32 Now the rest of the acts of Hezekiah, and the good he did, are recorded in the vision of Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, and in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.
32 Le reste des actions d'Ézéchias, et ses oeuvres de piété, cela est écrit dans la vision du prophète Ésaïe, fils d'Amots, dans le livre des rois de Juda et d'Israël.
32 An chuid eile de stair Hiziciá, agus a dhea-bhearta, tá siad scríofa i bhfís an fháidh Íseáia mac Ámóz, i Leabhar Ríthe Iúdá agus Iosrael.
32 Lo demás de los hechos de Ezechîas, y de sus misericordias, he aquí todo está escrito en la profecía de Isaías profeta, hijo de Amós, en el libro de los reyes de Judá y de Israel.
32 Was aber mehr von Hiskia zu sagen ist und seine Barmherzigkeit, siehe, das ist geschrieben in dem Gesicht des Propheten Jesaja, des Sohnes Amoz, im Buche der Könige Juda's und Israels.
33 So Hezekiah went to rest with his fathers, and they put his body into the higher part of the resting-places of the sons of David: and all Judah and the people of Jerusalem gave him honour at his death. And Manasseh his son became king in his place.
33 Ézéchias se coucha avec ses pères, et on l'enterra dans le lieu le plus élevé des sépulcres des fils de David; tout Juda et les habitants de Jérusalem lui rendirent honneur à sa mort. Et Manassé, son fils, régna à sa place.

33 Y durmió Ezechîas con sus padres, y sepultáronlo en los más insignes sepulcros de los hijos de David, honrándole en su muerte todo Judá y los de Jerusalem: y reinó en su lugar Manasés su hijo.
33 Und Hiskia entschlief mit seinen Vätern, und sie begruben ihn, wo man hinangeht zu den Gräbern der Kinder Davids. Und ganz Juda und die zu Jerusalem taten ihm Ehre in seinem Tod. Und sein Sohn Manasse ward König an seiner Statt.
