1 Now when the king was living in his house, and the Lord had given him rest from war on every side;
1 Lorsque le roi habita dans sa maison, et que l'Éternel lui eut donné du repos, après l'avoir délivré de tous les ennemis qui l'entouraient,

1 Y Acontecio que, estando ya el rey asentado en su casa, después que Jehová le había dado reposo de todos sus enemigos en derredor,
1 Da nun der König in seinem Hause saß und der HERR ihm Ruhe gegeben hatte von allen seinen Feinden umher,
2 The king said to Nathan the prophet, See now, I am living in a house of cedar, but the ark of God is housed inside the curtains of a tent.
2 il dit à Nathan le prophète: Vois donc! j'habite dans une maison de cèdre, et l'arche de Dieu habite au milieu d'une tente.
2 dúirt an rí leis an bhfáidh Nátán: “Féach, táimse ag cur fúm i dteach céadrais, ach áirc Dé i mboth!”
2 Dijo el rey al profeta Nathán: Mira ahora, yo moro en edificios de cedro, y el arca de Dios está entre cortinas.
2 sprach er zu dem Propheten Nathan: Siehe, ich wohne in einem Zedernhause, und die Lade Gottes wohnt unter den Teppichen.
3 And Nathan said to the king, Go and do whatever is in your heart; for the Lord is with you.
3 Nathan répondit au roi: Va, fais tout ce que tu as dans le coeur, car l'Éternel est avec toi.
3 Dúirt Nátán leis an rí: “Imigh agus déan an uile ní is áil le do chroí, óir tá an Tiarna leat.”
3 Y Nathán dijo al rey: Anda, y haz todo lo que está en tu corazón, que Jehová es contigo.
3 Nathan sprach zu dem König: Gehe hin; alles, was du in deinem Herzen hast, das tue, denn der HERR ist mit dir.
4 Now that night the word of the Lord came to Nathan, saying,
4 La nuit suivante, la parole de l'Éternel fut adressée à Nathan:

4 Y aconteció aquella noche, que fué palabra de Jehová á Nathán, diciendo:
4 Des Nachts aber kam das Wort des HERRN zu Nathan und sprach:
5 Go and say to my servant David, The Lord says, Are you to be the builder of a house, a living-place for me?
5 Va dire à mon serviteur David: Ainsi parle l'Éternel: Est-ce toi qui me bâtirais une maison pour que j'en fasse ma demeure?
5 “Imigh leat agus abair le mo sheirbhíseach Dáiví: ‘Seo mar a labhraíonn an Tiarna: An amhlaidh gur mian leat teach a thógáil dom ina ndéanfaidh mé cónaí?
5 Ve y di á mi siervo David: Así ha dicho Jehová: ¿Tú me has de edificar casa en que yo more?
5 Gehe hin und sage meinem Knechte David: So spricht der HERR: Solltest du mir ein Haus bauen, daß ich darin wohne?
6 For from the day when I took the children of Israel up out of Egypt till this day, I have had no house, but have gone from place to place in a tent.
6 Mais je n'ai point habité dans une maison depuis le jour où j'ai fait monter les enfants d'Israël hors d'Égypte jusqu'à ce jour; j'ai voyagé sous une tente et dans un tabernacle.
6 Níor fhan mé i dteach riamh ón lá a thug mé clann Iosrael amach as an Éigipt go dtí an lá inniu, ach chaith mé saol an tseachránaí agus mé i mo chónaí i mboth.
6 Ciertamente no he habitado en casas desde el día que saqué á los hijos de Israel de Egipto hasta hoy, sino que anduve en tienda y en tabernáculo.
6 Habe ich doch in keinem Hause gewohnt seit dem Tage, da ich die Kinder Israel aus Ägypten führte, bis auf diesen Tag, sondern ich habe gewandelt in der Hütte und Wohnung.
7 In all the places where I went with all the children of Israel, did I ever say to any of the judges of Israel, to whom I gave the care of my people Israel, Why have you not made me a house of cedar?
7 Partout où j'ai marché avec tous les enfants d'Israël, ai-je dit un mot à quelqu'une des tribus d'Israël à qui j'avais ordonné de paître mon peuple d'Israël, ai-je dit: Pourquoi ne me bâtissez-vous pas une maison de cèdre?
7 Le linn mo chuid taistil go léir le pobal uile Iosrael, an ndúirt mé le haon duine de bhreithiúna Iosrael a bhí ceaptha agam mar thréadaithe ar Iosrael mo phobal: “Cén fáth nár thóg tú teach céadrais dom?’ ”
7 Y en todo cuanto he andado con todos los hijos de Israel, ¿he hablado palabra en alguna de las tribus de Israel, á quien haya mandado que apaciente mi pueblo de Israel, para decir: ¿Por qué no me habéis edificado casa de cedros?
7 Wo ich mit allen Kinder Israel hin wandelte, habe ich auch je geredet mit irgend der Stämme Israels einem, dem ich befohlen habe, mein Volk Israel zu weiden, und gesagt: Warum baut ihr mir nicht ein Zedernhaus?
8 Then say these words to my servant David, The Lord of armies says, I took you from the fields, from keeping the sheep, so that you might be a ruler over my people, over my people Israel:
8 Maintenant tu diras à mon serviteur David: Ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées: Je t'ai pris au pâturage, derrière les brebis, pour que tu fusses chef sur mon peuple, sur Israël;
8 Seo an rud is gá duit a rá le mo sheirbhíseach Dáiví: ‘Deir Tiarna na Slua an méid seo: Thóg mé ón talamh féaraigh thú agus ó aoireacht na gcaorach chun go mbeifeá i do thaoiseach ar Iosrael, mo phobal.
8 Ahora pues, dirás así á mi siervo David: Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos: Yo te tomé de la majada, de detrás de las ovejas, para que fueses príncipe sobre mi pueblo, sobre Israel;
8 So sollst du nun so sagen meinem Knechte David: So spricht der HERR Zebaoth: Ich habe dich genommen von den Schafhürden, daß du sein solltest ein Fürst über mein Volk Israel,
9 And I have been with you wherever you went, cutting off before you all those who were against you; and I will make your name great, like the name of the greatest ones of the earth.
9 j'ai été avec toi partout où tu as marché, j'ai exterminé tous tes ennemis devant toi, et j'ai rendu ton nom grand comme le nom des grands qui sont sur la terre;
9 Gach slógadh dá ndearna tú, bhí mé in éineacht leat; rinne mé do naimhde go léir a threascairt romhat. An té is mó ar talamh, ní mó a chlú ná an clú a thabharfaidh mé duitse.
9 Y he sido contigo en todo cuanto has andado, y delante de ti he talado todos tus enemigos, y te he hecho nombre grande, como el nombre de los grandes que son en la tierra.
9 und bin mit dir gewesen, wo du hin gegangen bist, und habe alle deine Feinde vor dir ausgerottet und habe dir einen großen Namen gemacht wie der Name der Großen auf Erden.
10 And I will make a resting-place for my people Israel, planting them there, so that they may be living in the place which is theirs, and never again be moved; and never again will they be troubled by evil men as they were at the first,
10 j'ai donné une demeure à mon peuple, à Israël, et je l'ai planté pour qu'il y soit fixé et ne soit plus agité, pour que les méchants ne l'oppriment plus comme auparavant
10 Cuirfidh mé áit ar fáil do mo phobal Iosrael. Suífidh mé ansin iad agus déanfaidh siad cónaí san áit sin agus ní chuirfear isteach orthu arís; ní bheidh cos ar bolg á imirt ag na lucht foréigin orthu, mar a bhíodh
10 Además yo fijaré lugar á mi pueblo Israel; yo lo plantaré, para que habite en su lugar, y nunca más sea removido, ni los inicuos le aflijan más, como antes,
10 Und ich will meinem Volk Israel einen Ort setzen und will es pflanzen, daß es daselbst wohne und nicht mehr in der Irre gehe, und es Kinder der Bosheit nicht mehr drängen wie vormals und seit der Zeit, daß ich Richter über mein Volk Israel verordnet habe;
11 From the time when I put judges over my people Israel; and I will give you peace from all who are against you. And the Lord says to you that he will make you the head of a line of kings.
11 et comme à l'époque où j'avais établi des juges sur mon peuple d'Israël. Je t'ai accordé du repos en te délivrant de tous tes ennemis. Et l'Éternel t'annonce qu'il te créera une maison.
11 an uair úd a cheap mé breithiúna ar mo phobal Iosrael; tabharfaidh mé faoiseamh duit ó do naimhde go léir. Fógraíonn an Tiarna duit go ndéanfaidh an Tiarna teaghlach díot.
11 Desde el día que puse jueces sobre mi pueblo Israel; y yo te daré descanso de todos tus enemigos. Asimimso Jehová te hace saber, que él te quiere hacer casa.
11 und will Ruhe geben von allen deinen Feinden. Und der HERR verkündigt dir, daß der HERR dir ein Haus machen will.
12 And when the time comes for you to go to rest with your fathers, I will put in your place your seed after you, the offspring of your body, and I will make his kingdom strong.
12 Quand tes jours seront accomplis et que tu seras couché avec tes pères, j'élèverai ta postérité après toi, celui qui sera sorti de tes entrailles, et j'affermirai son règne.
12 Agus nuair a bheidh deireadh le do ré, agus go n‑adhlacfar le do shinsir thú, cumhdóidh mé do shliocht i do dhiaidh, síol do choirp, agus daingneoidh mé a fhlaitheas.
12 Y cuando tus días fueren cumplidos, y durmieres con tus padres, yo estableceré tu simiente después de ti, la cual procederá de tus entrañas, y aseguraré su reino.
12 Wenn nun deine Zeit hin ist, daß du mit deinen Vätern schlafen liegst, will ich deinen Samen nach dir erwecken, der von deinem Leibe kommen soll; dem will ich sein Reich bestätigen.
13 He will be the builder of a house for my name, and I will make the seat of his authority certain for ever.
13 Ce sera lui qui bâtira une maison à mon nom, et j'affermirai pour toujours le trône de son royaume.

13 El edificará casa á mi nombre, y yo afirmaré para siempre el trono de su reino.
13 Der soll meinem Namen ein Haus bauen, und ich will den Stuhl seines Königreichs bestätigen ewiglich.
14 I will be to him a father and he will be to me a son: if he does wrong, I will give him punishment with the rod of men and with the blows of the children of men;
14 Je serai pour lui un père, et il sera pour moi un fils. S'il fait le mal, je le châtierai avec la verge des hommes et avec les coups des enfants des hommes;
14 Beidh mé i m'athair aige, agus eisean ina mhac agamsa; má dhéanann sé olc, tabharfaidh mé an tslat dó mar phionós, faoi mar dhéanann daoine, agus buillí mar a thugann an cine daonna.
14 Yo le seré á él padre, y él me será á mí hijo. Y si él hiciere mal, yo le castigaré con vara de hombres, y con azotes de hijos de hombres;
14 Ich will sein Vater sein, und er soll mein Sohn sein. Wenn er eine Missetat tut, will ich ihn mit Menschenruten und mit der Menschenkinder Schlägen strafen;
15 But my mercy will not be taken away from him, as I took it from him who was before you.
15 mais ma grâce ne se retirera point de lui, comme je l'ai retirée de Saül, que j'ai rejeté devant toi.
15 Ach ní tharraingeoidh mé mo ghnaoi uaidh, mar a rinne mé le Sól an té a chuir mé as romhat.
15 Empero mi misericordia no se apartaré de él, como la aparté de Saúl, al cual quité de delante de ti.
15 aber meine Barmherzigkeit soll nicht von ihm entwandt werden, wie ich sie entwandt habe von Saul, den ich vor dir habe weggenommen.
16 And your family and your kingdom will keep their place before me for ever: the seat of your authority will never be overturned.
16 Ta maison et ton règne seront pour toujours assurés, ton trône sera pour toujours affermi.
16 Seasfaidh do theaghlach agus do fhlaitheas i gcónaí go daingean romham agus daingneofar do ríchathaoir go deo.’ ”
16 Y será afirmada tu casa y tu reino para siempre delante de tu rostro; y tu trono será estable eternalmente.
16 Aber dein Haus und dein Königreich soll beständig sein ewiglich vor dir, und dein Stuhl soll ewiglich bestehen.
17 So Nathan gave David an account of all these words and this vision.
17 Nathan rapporta à David toutes ces paroles et toute cette vision.
17 D'inis Nátán na briathra sin go léir agus an foilsiú sin ar fad do Dháiví. Urnaí Dháiví
17 Conforme á todas estas palabras, y conforme á toda esta visión, así habló Nathán á David.
17 Da Nathan alle diese Worte und all dies Gesicht David gesagt hatte,
18 Then David the king went in and took his seat before the Lord, and said, Who am I, O Lord God, and what is my family, that you have been my guide till now?
18 Et le roi David alla se présenter devant l'Éternel, et dit: Qui suis-je, Seigneur Éternel, et quelle est ma maison, pour que tu m'aies fait parvenir où je suis?
18 Chuaigh Dáiví rí isteach, shuigh os comhair an Tiarna agus dúirt: “Cé hé mise, a Thiarna Dia, agus cad é mo theaghlach, gur threoraigh tú an fad seo mé?
18 Y entró el rey David, y púsose delante de Jehová, y dijo: Señor Jehová, ¿Quién soy yo, y qué es mi casa, para que tú me traigas hasta aquí?
18 kam David, der König, und blieb vor dem Herrn und sprach: Wer bin ich, HERR HERR, und was ist mein Haus, daß du mich bis hierher gebracht hast?
19 And this was only a small thing to you, O Lord God; but your words have even been about the far-off future of your servant's family, O Lord God!
19 C'est encore peu de chose à tes yeux, Seigneur Éternel; tu parles aussi de la maison de ton serviteur pour les temps à venir. Et tu daignes instruire un homme de ces choses, Seigneur Éternel!
19 Ach ní leor leat an fad seo, a Thiarna Dia, agus déanann tú do ghealltanais a shíneadh amach chuig teaghlach do shearbhónta san am atá i bhfad romhainn [agus seo é teagasc na ndaoine, a Thiarna Dia].
19 Y aun te ha parecido poco esto, Señor Jehová, pues que también has hablado de la casa de tu siervo en lo por venir. ¿Es ése el modo de obrar del hombre, Señor Jehová?
19 Dazu hast du das zu wenig geachtet HERR HERR, sondern hast dem Hause deines Knechts noch von fernem Zukünftigem geredet, und das nach Menschenweise, HERR HERR!
20 What more may David say to you? for you have knowledge of your servant, O Lord God.
20 Que pourrait te dire de plus David? Tu connais ton serviteur, Seigneur Éternel!
20 Cad eile is féidir le do shearbhónta Dáiví a rá leat, nuair a rinne tú féin do shearbhónta a roghnú, a Thiarna Dia?
20 ¿Y qué más puede añadir David hablando contigo? Tú pues conoces tu siervo, Señor Jehová.
20 Und was soll David mehr reden mit dir? Du erkennst deinen Knecht, HERR HERR!
21 Because of your word and from your heart, you have done all this great work, and let your servant see it.
21 A cause de ta parole, et selon ton coeur, tu as fait toutes ces grandes choses pour les révéler à ton serviteur.
21 Ar son do shearbhónta, [an madra seo leat,] rinne tú rud chomh mór sin nuair a d'fhoilsigh tú é seo do do shearbhónta.
21 Todas estas grandezas has obrado por tu palabra y conforme á tu corazón, haciéndolas saber á tu siervo.
21 Um deines Wortes willen und nach deinem Herzen hast du solche großen Dinge alle getan, daß du sie deinem Knecht kundtätest.
22 Truly you are great, O Lord God: there is no one like you and no other God but you, as is clear from everything which has come to our ears.
22 Que tu es donc grand, Éternel Dieu! car nul n'est semblable à toi, et il n'y a point d'autre Dieu que toi, d'après tout ce que nous avons entendu de nos oreilles.
22 Uime sin is mór é thú, a Thiarna Dia; níl aon neach mar thú, níl aon Dia ann ach tú amháin, mar a chuala ár gcluasa féin.
22 Por tanto tú te has engrandecido, Jehová Dios: por cuanto no hay como tú, ni hay Dios fuera de ti, conforme á todo lo que hemos oído con nuestros oídos.
22 Darum bist du auch groß geachtet, HERR, Gott; denn es ist keiner wie du und ist kein Gott als du, nach allem, was wir mit unsern Ohren gehört haben.
23 And what other nation in the earth, like your people Israel, did a god go out to take for himself, to be his people, and to make a name for himself, and to do great and strange things for them, driving out a nation and its gods from before his people?
23 Est-il sur la terre une seule nation qui soit comme ton peuple, comme Israël, que Dieu est venu racheter pour en former son peuple, pour se faire un nom et pour accomplir en sa faveur, en faveur de ton pays, des miracles et des prodiges, en chassant devant ton peuple, que tu as racheté d'Égypte, des nations et leurs dieux?
23 An bhfuil cine eile ar talamh mar do phobal féin, Iosrael, le Dia a chuaigh á bhfuascailt agus ag déanamh pobail leis féin díobh, ag móradh a ainm agus ag déanamh nithe éachtacha scanrúla ar a son, ag díbirt ciníocha agus déithe roimh a phobal?
23 ¿Y quién como tu pueblo, como Israel, en la tierra? una gente por amor de la cual Dios fuese á redimírsela por pueblo, y le pusiese nombre, é hiciese por vosotros, oh Israel, grandes y espantosas obras en tu tierra, por amor de tu pueblo, oh Dios, que tú redimiste de Egipto, de las gentes y de sus dioses?
23 Denn wo ist ein Volk auf Erden wie dein Volk Israel, um welches willen Gott ist hingegangen, sich ein Volk zu erlösen und sich einen Namen zu machen und solch große und schreckliche Dinge zu tun in deinem Lande vor deinem Volk, welches du dir erlöst hast von Ägypten, von den Heiden und ihren Göttern?
24 But you took and made strong for yourself your people Israel, to be your people for ever; and you, Lord, became their God.
24 Tu as affermi ton peuple d'Israël, pour qu'il fût ton peuple à toujours; et toi, Éternel, tu es devenu son Dieu.
24 De do phobal Iosrael rinne tú do phobal daingean féin go deo, agus is tusa, a Thiarna, atá ina Dhia acu feasta.
24 Porque tú te has confirmado á tu pueblo Israel por pueblo tuyo para siempre: y tú, oh Jehová, fuiste á ellos por Dios.
24 Und du hast dir dein Volk Israel zubereitet, dir zum Volk in Ewigkeit; und du, HERR, bist ihr Gott geworden.
25 And now, O Lord God, may the word which you have said about your servant and about his family, be made certain for ever, and may you do as you have said!
25 Maintenant, Éternel Dieu, fais subsister jusque dans l'éternité la parole que tu as prononcée sur ton serviteur et sur sa maison, et agis selon ta parole.
25 Anois, a Thiarna Dia, coinnigh i gcónaí an gealltanas a thug tú do do shearbhónta agus dá theaghlach, agus déan mar a dúirt tú.
25 Ahora pues, Jehová Dios, la palabra que has hablado sobre tu siervo y sobre su casa, despiértala para siempre, y haz conforme á lo que has dicho.
25 So bekräftige nun, HERR, Gott, das Wort in Ewigkeit, das du über deinen Knecht und über sein Haus geredet hast, und tue, wie du geredet hast!
26 And let your name be made great for ever, and let men say, The Lord of armies is God over Israel: and let the family of David your servant be made strong before you!
26 Que ton nom soit à jamais glorifié, et que l'on dise: L'Éternel des armées est le Dieu d'Israël! Et que la maison de ton serviteur David soit affermie devant toi!
26 Beidh d'ainm in ardchéim go deo agus déarfaidh daoine: ‘Tá Tiarna na Slua ina Dhia ar Iosrael.’ Déanfar teaghlach do shearbhónta Dáiví daingean i do láthair,
26 Que sea engrandecido tu nombre para siempre, y dígase: Jehová de los ejércitos es Dios sobre Israel; y que la casa de tu siervo David sea firme delante de ti.
26 So wird dein Name groß werden in Ewigkeit, daß man wird sagen: Der HERR Zebaoth ist der Gott über Israel, und das Haus deines Knechtes David wird bestehen vor dir.
27 For you, O Lord of armies, the God of Israel, have clearly said to your servant, I will make you the head of a family of kings: and so it has come into your servant's heart to make this prayer to you.
27 Car toi-même, Éternel des armées, Dieu d'Israël, tu t'es révélé à ton serviteur, en disant: Je te fonderai une maison! C'est pourquoi ton serviteur a pris courage pour t'adresser cette prière.
27 ós tusa, Tiarna na Slua, Dia Iosrael, a d'fhoilsigh seo do do shearbhónta á rá: ‘Tógfaidh mé teaghlach duit’; dá bhrí sin tá sé de mhisneach ag do sheirbhíseach an phaidir seo a chur suas chugat.
27 Porque tú, Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel, revelaste al oído de tu siervo, diciendo: Yo te edificaré casa. Por esto tu siervo ha hallado en su corazón para hacer delante de ti esta súplica.
27 Denn du, HERR Zebaoth, du Gott Israels, hast das Ohr deines Knechts geöffnet und gesagt: Ich will dir ein Haus bauen. Darum hat dein Knecht sein Herz gefunden, daß er dieses Gebet zu dir betet.
28 And now, O Lord God, you are God and your words are true and you have said you will give your servant this good thing;
28 Maintenant, Seigneur Éternel, tu es Dieu, et tes paroles sont vérité, et tu as annoncé cette grâce à ton serviteur.
28 Sea, a Thiarna Dia, is tusa Dia go deimhin, is fíor iad do bhriathra agus thug tú an gealltanas breá seo do do shearbhónta.
28 Ahora pues, Jehová Dios, tú eres Dios, y tus palabras serán firmes, ya que has dicho á tu siervo este bien.
28 Nun, HERR HERR, du bist Gott, und deine Worte werden Wahrheit sein. Du hast solches Gute über deinen Knecht geredet.
29 So may it be your pleasure to give your blessing to the family of your servant, so that it may go on for ever before you: (for you, O Lord God, have said it,) and may your blessing be on your servant's family line for ever!
29 Veuille donc bénir la maison de ton serviteur, afin qu'elle subsiste à toujours devant toi! Car c'est toi, Seigneur Éternel, qui a parlé, et par ta bénédiction la maison de ton serviteur sera bénie éternellement.
29 Deonaigh, mar sin, teaghlach do shearbhónta a bheannú, ionas go mairfidh sé go deo i do láthair, óir is tusa a labhair, a Thiarna Dia, agus le do bheannachtsa beidh teaghlach do shearbhónta beannaithe go deo.”
29 Tenlo pues ahora á bien, y bendice la casa de tu siervo, para que perpetuamente permanezca delante de ti: pues que tú, Jehová Dios, lo has dicho, y con tu bendición será bendita la casa de tu siervo para siempre.
29 So hebe nun an und segne das Haus deines Knechtes, daß es ewiglich vor dir sei; denn du, HERR HERR, hast's geredet, und mit deinem Segen wird deines Knechtes Haus gesegnet ewiglich.
