1 And when Saul's son Ish-bosheth had news that Abner was dead in Hebron, his hands became feeble, and all the Israelites were troubled.

1 Luego que oyó el hijo de Saúl que Abner había sido muerto en Hebrón, las manos se le descoyuntaron, y fué atemorizado todo Israel.
1 Da aber der Sohn Sauls hörte, daß Abner zu Hebron tot wäre, wurden seine Hände laß, und ganz Israel erschrak.
2 And Saul's son had two men, captains of bands, one named Baanah and the other Rechab, sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, of the tribe of Benjamin; (for Beeroth was at one time taken to be part of Benjamin:

2 Es waren aber zwei Männer, Hauptleute der streifenden Rotten unter dem Sohn Sauls; einer hieß Baana, der andere Rechab, Söhne Rimmons, des Beerothiters, aus den Kindern Benjamin. (Denn Beeroth ward auch unter Benjamin gerechnet;
3 But the people of Beeroth had gone in flight to Gittaim, where they have been living to this day.)

He was five years old when news of the death of Saul and Jonathan came from Jezreel, and the woman who took care of him took him up and went in flight: and while she was getting him away as quickly as she was able, he had a fall and his feet were damaged. His name was Mephibosheth.
4 Jonathan, fils de Saül, avait un fils perclus des pieds; et âgé de cinq ans lorsqu'arriva de Jizreel la nouvelle de la mort de Saül et de Jonathan; sa nourrice le prit et s'enfuit, et, comme elle précipitait sa fuite, il tomba et resta boiteux; son nom était Mephiboscheth.
4 Bhí mac ag Iónátán mac Shóil a raibh cosa bacacha faoi. Bhí sé cúig bliana d'aois nuair a tháinig an scéala faoi Shól agus Iónátán ó Izréil. D'ardaigh a mhuime léi é, ach ag teitheadh di faoi dheifir, thit sé agus d'fhág sin bacach é; Meirí Bál a ba ainm dó.
4 Y Jonathán, hijo de Saúl, tenía un hijo lisiado de los pies de edad de cinco años: que cuando la noticia de la muerte de Saúl y de Jonathán vino de Jezreel, tomóle su ama y huyó; y como iba huyendo con celeridad, cayó el niño y quedó cojo. Su nombre era Mephi-boseth.
4 Auch hatte Jonathan, der Sohn Sauls, einen Sohn, der war lahm an den Füßen, und war fünf Jahre alt, da das Geschrei von Saul und Jonathan aus Jesreel kam und seine Amme ihn aufhob und floh; und indem sie eilte und floh, fiel er und ward hinkend; und er hieß Mephiboseth.
5 And Rechab and Baanah, the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, went out and came to the house of Ish-bosheth in the heat of the day, when he was resting in the middle of the day. Now the woman who kept the door was cleaning grain, and sleep overcame her.
5 Or les fils de Rimmon de Beéroth, Récab et Baana, se rendirent pendant la chaleur du jour à la maison d'Isch Boscheth, qui était couché pour son repos de midi.

5 So gingen nun hin die Söhne Rimmons, des Beerothiters, Rechab und Baana, und kamen zum Hause Is-Boseths, da der Tag am heißesten war; und er lag auf seinem Lager am Mittag.
6 And Rechab and his brother Baanah got in without being seen.
6 Ils pénétrèrent jusqu'au milieu de la maison, comme pour prendre du froment, et ils le frappèrent au ventre; puis Récab et Baana, son frère, se sauvèrent.

6 Und sie kamen ins Haus, Weizen zu holen, und stachen ihn in den Bauch und entrannen.
7 And when they came into the house, Ish-bosheth was stretched on his bed in his bedroom; and they made an attack on him and put him to death, and, cutting off his head, they took it with them and went by the road through the Arabah all night.
7 Ils entrèrent donc dans la maison pendant qu'il reposait sur son lit dans sa chambre à coucher, ils le frappèrent et le firent mourir, et ils lui coupèrent la tête. Ils prirent sa tête, et ils marchèrent toute la nuit au travers de la plaine.

8 And they took the head of Ish-bosheth to David in Hebron, and said to the king, Here is the head of Ish-bosheth, the son of Saul your hater, who would have taken your life; the Lord has taken payment for the wrongs of my lord the king from Saul and his seed today.
8 Ils apportèrent la tête d'Isch Boscheth à David dans Hébron, et ils dirent au roi: Voici la tête d'Isch Boscheth, fils de Saül, ton ennemi, qui en voulait à ta vie; l'Éternel venge aujourd'hui le roi mon seigneur de Saül et de sa race.

8 Y trajeron la cabeza de Is-boseth á David en Hebrón, y dijeron al rey: He aquí la cabeza de Is-boseth hijo de Saúl tu enemigo, que procuraba matarte; y Jehová ha vengado hoy á mi señor el rey, de Saúl y de su simiente.
8 und brachten das Haupt Is-Boseths zu David gen Hebron und sprachen zum König: Siehe, da ist das Haupt Is-Boseths, Sauls Sohnes, deines Feindes, der nach deiner Seele stand; der HERR hat heute meinen Herrn, den König, gerächt an Saul und an seinem Samen.
9 And David made answer to Rechab and his brother Baanah, the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, and said to them, By the living Lord, who has kept me safe from all my trouble,
9 David répondit à Récab et à Baana, son frère, fils de Rimmon de Beéroth: L'Éternel qui m'a délivré de tout péril est vivant!
9 Ach d'fhreagair Dáiví Reacáb agus Báná a dheartháir á rá: “Dar an Tiarna beo, a d'fhuascail mé ó gach gábh,
9 Y David respondió á Rechâb y á su hermano Baana, hijos de Rimmón Beerothita, y díjoles: Vive Jehová que ha redimido mi alma de toda angustia,
9 Da antwortete ihnen David: So wahr der HERR lebt, der meine Seele aus aller Trübsal erlöst hat,
10 When one came to me with the news of Saul's death, in the belief that it would be good news, I took him and put him to death in Ziklag, which was the reward I gave him for his news:
10 celui qui est venu me dire: Voici, Saül est mort, et qui croyait m'annoncer une bonne nouvelle, je l'ai fait saisir et tuer à Tsiklag, pour lui donner le salaire de son message;
10 an fear a mheas go raibh scéala maith á thabhairt aige chugam, nuair a d'inis sé dom go raibh Sól marbh, rug mé greim air agus mharaigh mé é i Zicleag; sin é an luach saothair a fuair sé ar son a dhea-scéil.
10 Que cuando uno me dió nuevas, diciendo: He aquí Saúl es muerto imaginándose que traía buenas nuevas, yo lo prendí, y le maté en Siclag en pago de la nueva.
10 ich griff den, der mir verkündigte und sprach: Saul ist tot! und meinte, er wäre ein guter Bote, und erwürgte ihn zu Ziklag, dem ich sollte Botenlohn geben.
11 How much more, when evil men have put an upright person to death, in his house, sleeping on his bed, will I take payment from you for his blood, and have you cut off from the earth?
11 et quand des méchants ont assassiné un homme juste dans sa maison et sur sa couche, combien plus ne redemanderai-je pas son sang de vos mains et ne vous exterminerai-je pas de la terre?

11 ¿Cuánto más á los malos hombres que mataron á un hombre justo en su casa, y sobre su cama? Ahora pues, ¿no tengo yo de demandar su sangre de vuestras manos, y quitaros de la tierra?
11 Und diese gottlosen Leute haben einen gerechten Mann in seinem Hause auf seinem Lager erwürgt. Ja, sollte ich das Blut nicht fordern von euren Händen und euch von der Erde tun?
12 And David gave orders to his young men and they put them to death, cutting off their hands and their feet and hanging them up by the side of the pool in Hebron. But they took the head of Ish-bosheth and put it in its last resting-place with Abner's body in Hebron.
12 Et David ordonna à ses gens de les tuer; ils leur coupèrent les mains et les pieds, et les pendirent au bord de l'étang d'Hébron. Ils prirent ensuite la tête d'Isch Boscheth, et l'enterrèrent dans le sépulcre d'Abner à Hébron.

12 Entonces David mandó á los mancebos, y ellos los mataron, y cortáronles las manos y los pies, y colgáronlos sobre el estanque, en Hebrón. Luego tomaron la cabeza de Is-boseth, y enterráronla en el sepulcro de Abner en Hebrón.
12 Und David gebot seinen Jünglingen; die erwürgten sie und hieben ihre Hände und Füße ab und hingen sie auf am Teich zu Hebron. Aber das Haupt Is-Boseths nahmen sie und begruben's in Abners Grab zu Hebron.
