1 Now Jephthah the Gileadite was a great man of war; he was the son of a loose woman, and Gilead was his father.
1 Jephthé, le Galaadite, était un vaillant héros. Il était fils d'une femme prostituée; et c'est Galaad qui avait engendré Jephthé.
1 Gaiscíoch tréan a ba ea Iaftá an Gileádach, ach ba mhac striapaí é. Ba é Gileád athair Iaftá.
1 Existia entonces Jephté, Galaadita, hombre valiente, hijo de una ramera, al cual había engendrado Galaad.
1 Jephthah, ein Gileaditer, war ein streibarer Held, aber ein Hurenkind. Gilead aber hatte Jephthah gezeugt.
2 And Gilead's wife gave birth to sons, and when her sons became men, they sent Jephthah away, saying, You have no part in the heritage of our father's house, for you are the son of another woman.
2 La femme de Galaad lui enfanta des fils, qui, devenus grands, chassèrent Jephthé, et lui dirent: Tu n'hériteras pas dans la maison de notre père, car tu es fils d'une autre femme.
2 Bhí clann mhac ag bean Ghileád chomh maith, agus nuair a d'fhás clann a mhná, thiomáineadar Iaftá amach, agus dúradar leis: “Ní bheidh aon chuid agat i dteach ár n‑athar, mar is mac mná deoranta thú.”
2 Y la mujer de Galaad también le había parido hijos; los cuales cuando fueron grandes, echaron fuera á Jephté, diciéndole: No heredarás en la casa de nuestro padre, porque eres bastardo.
2 Da aber das Weib Gileads ihm Kinder gebar und des Weibes Kinder groß wurden, stießen sie Jephthah aus und sprachen zu ihm: Du sollst nicht erben in unsers Vaters Haus; denn du bist eines andern Weibes Sohn.
3 So Jephthah went in flight from his brothers and was living in the land of Tob, where a number of good-for-nothing men, joining Jephthah, went out with him on his undertakings.
3 Et Jephthé s'enfuit loin de ses frères, et il habita dans le pays de Tob. Des gens de rien se rassemblèrent auprès de Jephthé, et ils faisaient avec lui des excursions.
3 Theith Iaftá óna bhráithre agus chuir faoi i dtír Thób. Bhailigh scraistí gan mhaith ina thimpeall agus théidís ag creachadh in éineacht leis.
3 Huyendo pues Jephté á causa de sus hermanos, habitó en tierra de Tob; y juntáronse con él hombres ociosos, los cuales con él salían.
3 Da floh er vor seinen Brüdern und wohnte im Lande Tob. Und es sammelten sich zu ihm lose Leute und zogen aus mit ihm.
4 Now after a time the children of Ammon made war against Israel.
4 Quelque temps après, les fils d'Ammon firent la guerre à Israël.
4 Tar éis tamaill chuaigh na hAmónaigh chun cogaidh le hIosrael.
4 Y aconteció que después de días los hijos de Ammón hicieron guerra contra Israel:
4 Und über etliche Zeit hernach stritten die Kinder Ammon mit Israel.
5 And when the children of Ammon made war against Israel, the responsible men of Gilead went to get Jephthah back from the land of Tob;
5 Et comme les fils d'Ammon faisaient la guerre à Israël, les anciens de Galaad allèrent chercher Jephthé au pays de Tob.
5 Nuair a chuaigh na hAmónaigh chun cogaidh le hIosrael chuaigh seanóirí Ghileád ag triall ar Iaftá chun é a bhreith leo ó thír Thób.
5 Y como los hijos de Ammón tenían guerra contra Israel, los ancianos de Galaad fueron para volver á Jephté de tierra de Tob;
5 Da nun die Kinder Ammon also stritten mit Israel, gingen die Ältesten von Gilead hin, daß sie Jephthah holten aus dem Lande Tob,
6 And they said to Jephthah, Come and be our chief so that we may make war against the children of Ammon.
6 Ils dirent à Jephthé: Viens, tu seras notre chef, et nous combattrons les fils d'Ammon.
6 Dúradar le Iaftá: “Tar agus gabh ceannas orainn i dtreo go gcuirfimís cogadh ar na hAmónaigh.”
6 Y dijeron á Jephté: Ven, y serás nuestro capitán, para que peleemos con los hijos de Ammón.
6 und sprachen zu ihm: Komm und sei unser Hauptmann, daß wir streiten wider die Kinder Ammon.
7 But Jephthah said to the responsible men of Gilead, Did you not, in your hate for me, send me away from my father's house? Why do you come to me now when you are in trouble?
7 Jephthé répondit aux anciens de Galaad: N'avez-vous pas eu de la haine pour moi, et ne m'avez-vous pas chassé de la maison de mon père? Pourquoi venez-vous à moi maintenant que vous êtes dans la détresse?
7 Ach dúirt Iaftá le seanóirí Ghileád: “Nach sibhse a thug fuath dom agus a thiomáin as teach m'athar amach mé? Cad a b'áil libh ag teacht chugam anois agus sibh i gcruachás?”
7 Y Jephté respondió á los ancianos de Galaad: ¿No me habéis vosotros aborrecido, y me echasteis de la casa de mi padre? ¿por qué pues venís ahora á mí cuando estáis en aflicción?
7 Aber Jephthah sprach zu den Ältesten von Gilead: Seid ihr es nicht, die mich hassen und aus meines Vaters Haus gestoßen haben? Und nun kommt ihr zu mir, weil ihr in Trübsal seid?
8 And the responsible men of Gilead said to Jephthah, That is the reason we have come back to you; so go with us and make war against the children of Ammon, and we will make you our head over all the people of Gilead.
8 Les anciens de Galaad dirent à Jephthé: Nous revenons à toi maintenant, afin que tu marches avec nous, que tu combattes les fils d'Ammon, et que tu sois notre chef, celui de tous les habitants de Galaad.
8 Agus dúirt seanóirí Ghileád le Iaftá: “Sin é díreach an fáth gur chasamar ort anois; tar linn; cuir cogadh ar na hAmónaigh agus bí i do cheann orainn, i do cheann ar a bhfuil ina gconaí i nGileád.”
8 Y los ancianos de Galaad respondieron á Jephté: Por esta misma causa tornamos ahora á ti, para que vengas con nosotros, y pelees contra los hijos de Ammón, y nos seas cabeza á todos los que moramos en Galaad.
8 Die Ältesten von Gilead sprachen zu Jephthah: Darum kommen wir nun wieder zu dir, daß du mit uns ziehst und hilfst uns streiten wider die Kinder Ammon und seist unser Haupt über alle, die in Gilead wohnen.
9 Then Jephthah said to the responsible men of Gilead, If you take me back to make war against the children of Ammon, and if with the help of the Lord I overcome them, will you make me your head?
9 Jephthé répondit aux anciens de Galaad: Si vous me ramenez pour combattre les fils d'Ammon, et que l'Éternel les livre devant moi, je serai votre chef.
9 D'fhreagair Iaftá seanóirí Ghileád: “Má thugann sibh ar ais abhaile mé le troid leis na hAmónaigh, agus go dtugann an Tiarna an lámh in uachtar dom orthu, an mbeidh mé i mo cheann oraibh?”
9 Jephté entonces dijo á los ancianos de Galaad: Si me volvéis para que pelee contra los hijos de Ammón, y Jehová los entregare delante de mí, ¿seré yo vuestra cabeza?
9 Jephthah sprach zu den Ältesten von Gilead: So ihr mich wieder holet, zu streiten wider die Kinder Ammon, und der HERR sie vor mir dahingeben wird, soll ich dann euer Haupt sein?
10 And the responsible men of Gilead said to Jephthah, May the Lord be our witness: we will certainly do as you say.
10 Les anciens de Galaad dirent à Jephthé: Que l'Éternel nous entende, et qu'il juge, si nous ne faisons pas ce que tu dis.
10 Dúirt seanóirí Ghileád le Iaftá: “Go raibh an Tiarna ina fhinné eadrainn! Go raibh mallacht orainn mura ndéanfaimid mar a dúirt tú!”
10 Y los ancianos de Galaad respondieron á Jephté: Jehová oiga entre nosotros, si no hiciéremos como tú dices.
10 Die Ältesten von Gilead sprachen zu Jephthah: Der HERR sei Zuhörer zwischen uns, wo wir nicht tun, wie du gesagt hast.
11 So Jephthah went with the responsible men of Gilead, and the people made him head and chief over them; and Jephthah said all these things before the Lord in Mizpah.
11 Et Jephthé partit avec les anciens de Galaad. Le peuple le mit à sa tête et l'établit comme chef, et Jephthé répéta devant l'Éternel, à Mitspa, toutes les paroles qu'il avait prononcées.
11 Chuir Iaftá chun bóthair dá bhrí sin le seanóirí Ghileád, agus cheap na daoine mar cheann agus mar cheannasaí orthu féin é; rinne Iaftá a choinníollacha go léir a aithris arís i Mizpeá i bhfianaise an Tiarna.
11 Entonces Jephté vino con los ancianos de Galaad, y el pueblo lo eligió por su cabeza y príncipe; y Jephté habló todas sus palabras delante de Jehová en Mizpa.
11 Also ging Jephthah mit den Ältesten von Gilead; und das Volk setzte ihn zum Haupt und Obersten über sich. Und Jephthah redete solches alles vor dem HERRN zu Mizpa.
12 Then Jephthah sent men to the king of the children of Ammon, saying, What have you against me that you have come to make war against my land?
12 Jephthé envoya des messagers au roi des fils d'Ammon, pour lui dire: Qu'y a-t-il entre moi et toi, que tu viennes contre moi pour faire la guerre à mon pays?
12 Ansin chuir Iaftá teachtairí go rí na nAmónach á rá leis: “Cad é an t‑aighneas seo eadrainn a rá is gur tháinig tú chugam chun cogaidh a chur ar mo thír?”
12 Y envió Jephté embajadores al rey de los Ammonitas, diciendo: ¿Qué tienes tú conmigo que has venido á mí para hacer guerra en mi tierra?
12 Da sandte Jephthah Botschaft zum König der Kinder Ammon und ließ ihm sagen: Was hast du mit mir zu schaffen, daß du kommst zu mir, wider mein Land zu streiten?
13 And the king of the children of Ammon said to the men sent by Jephthah, Because Israel, when he came up out of Egypt, took away my land, from the Arnon as far as the Jabbok and as far as Jordan: so now, give me back those lands quietly.
13 Le roi des fils d'Ammon répondit aux messagers de Jephthé: C'est qu'Israël, quand il est monté d'Égypte, s'est emparé de mon pays, depuis l'Arnon jusqu'au Jabbok et au Jourdain. Rends-le maintenant de bon gré.
13 D'fhreagair rí na nAmónach teachtairí Iaftá: “Mar, nuair a bhí Iosrael ag teacht as an Éigipt, ghabhadar seilbh ar mo thírse ón Arnón go dtí an Iaboc, agus go dtí an Iordáin. Tabhair ar ais é go síochánta anois, dá bhrí sin.”
13 Y el rey de los Ammonitas respondió á los embajadores de Jephté: Por cuanto Israel tomó mi tierra, cuando subió de Egipto, desde Arnón hasta Jaboc y el Jordán; por tanto, devuélvelas ahora en paz.
13 Der König der Kinder Ammon antwortete den Boten Jephthahs: Darum daß Israel mein Land genommen hat, da sie aus Ägypten zogen, vom Arnon an bis an den Jabbok und wieder bis zum Jordan; so gib mir's nun wieder mit Frieden.
14 And Jephthah sent again to the king of the children of Ammon,
14 Jephthé envoya de nouveau des messagers au roi des fils d'Ammon,
14 Chuir Iaftá teachtairí go rí na nAmónach
14 Y Jephté tornó á enviar otros embajadores al rey de los Ammonitas,
14 Jephthah aber sandte noch mehr Boten zum König der Kinder Ammon,
15 And said to him, This is the word of Jephthah: Israel did not take away the land of Moab or the land of the children of Ammon;
15 pour lui dire: Ainsi parle Jephthé: Israël ne s'est point emparé du pays de Moab, ni du pays des fils d'Ammon.
15 leis an bhfreagra: “Mar seo a deir Iaftá: Níor ghabh Iosrael tír Mhóab ná tír na nAmónach,
15 Para decirle: Jephté ha dicho así: Israel no tomó tierra de Moab, ni tierra de los hijos de Ammón:
15 die sprachen zu ihm: So spricht Jephthah: Israel hat kein Land genommen, weder den Moabitern noch den Kindern Ammon.
16 But when they came up from Egypt, Israel went through the waste land to the Red Sea and came to Kadesh;
16 Car lorsque Israël est monté d'Égypte, il a marché dans le désert jusqu'à la mer Rouge, et il est arrivé à Kadès.
16 ach nuair a tháinig Iosrael aníos ón Éigipt, chuaigh siad tríd an bhfásach go dtí Muir na nGiolcach agus shroicheadar Cáidéis.
16 Mas subiendo Israel de Egipto, anduvo por el desierto hasta el mar Bermejo, y llegó á Cades.
16 Denn da sie aus Ägypten zogen, wandelte Israel durch die Wüste bis ans Schilfmeer und kam gen Kades
17 Then Israel sent men to the king of Edom saying, Let me now go through your land; but the king of Edom did not give ear to them. And in the same way he sent to the king of Moab, but he would not; so Israel went on living in Kadesh.
17 Alors Israël envoya des messagers au roi d'Édom, pour lui dire: Laisse-moi passer par ton pays. Mais le roi d'Édom n'y consentit pas. Il en envoya aussi au roi de Moab, qui refusa. Et Israël resta à Kadès.
17 Ansin chuir Iosrael teachtairí go rí Eadóm á rá: ‘Lig dúinn gabhail trí do thír, le do thoil’; ach ní éistfeadh rí Eadóm. Chuireadar teachtairí go rí Mhóáb chomh maith, ach ní bheadh sé sásta. D'fhan Iosrael i gCáidéis dá bhrí sin.
17 Entonces Israel envió embajadores al rey de Edom, diciendo: Yo te ruego que me dejes pasar por tu tierra. Mas el rey de Edom no los escuchó. Envió también al rey de Moab; el cual tampoco quiso: quedóse por tanto Israel en Cades.
17 und sandte Boten zum König der Edomiter und sprach: Laß mich durch dein Land ziehen. Aber der Edomiter König erhörte sie nicht. Auch sandten sie zum König der Moabiter; der wollte auch nicht. Also blieb Israel in Kades
18 Then he went on through the waste land and round the land of Edom and the land of Moab, and came by the east side of the land of Moab, and put up their tents on the other side of the Arnon; they did not come inside the limit of Moab, for the Arnon was the limit of Moab.
18 Puis il marcha par le désert, tourna le pays d'Édom et le pays de Moab, et vint à l'orient du pays de Moab; ils campèrent au delà de l'Arnon, sans entrer sur le territoire de Moab, car l'Arnon est la frontière de Moab.
18 Ansin ghabhadar tríd an bhfásach agus timpeall ar thír Eadóm agus ar thír Mhóáb nó go rabhadar lastoir de chríocha Mhóáb. Shuigh an pobal a longfort taobh thall den Arnón, gan dul thar theorainn Mhóáb, mar is í an Arnón féin teorainn Mhóáb.
18 Después, yendo por el desierto, rodeó la tierra de Edom y la tierra de Moab, y viniendo por el lado oriental de la tierra de Moab, asentó su campo de estotra parte de Arnón, y no entraron por el término de Moab: porque Arnón término es de Moab.
18 und wandelte in der Wüste. Und sie umzogen das Land der Edomiter und Moabiter und kamen von der Sonne Aufgang an der Moabiter Land und lagerten sich jenseit des Arnon und kamen nicht in die Grenze der Moabiter; denn der Arnon ist der Moabiter Grenze.
19 And Israel sent men to Sihon, king of the Amorites, the king of Heshbon; and Israel said to him, Let me now go through your land to my place.
19 Israël envoya des messagers à Sihon, roi des Amoréens, roi de Hesbon, et Israël lui dit: Laisse-nous passer par ton pays jusqu'au lieu où nous allons.
19 Ansin chuir Iosrael teachtairí go dtí Síochon rí na nAmórach a bhí i réim i Heisbeon, agus dúirt Iosrael leis: ‘Lig dúinn, le do thoil, gabháil trí do thalamh go dtí ár dtír féin.’
19 Y envió Israel embajadores á Sehón rey de los Amorrheos, rey de Hesbón, diciéndole: Ruégote que me dejes pasar por tu tierra hasta mi lugar.
19 Und Israel sandte Boten zu Sihon, dem König der Amoriter zu Hesbon, und ließ ihm sagen: Laß uns durch dein Land ziehen bis an meinen Ort.
20 But Sihon would not give way and let Israel go through his land; and Sihon got together all his people, and put his army in position in Jahaz, and made war on Israel.
20 Mais Sihon n'eut pas assez confiance en Israël pour le laisser passer sur son territoire; il rassembla tout son peuple, campa à Jahats, et combattit Israël.
20 Ach ní ligfeadh Síochon d'Iosrael gabháil trína chríocha; chruinnigh sé a mhuintir ó léir le chéile dá bhrí sin, shuíodar a longfort i Iáhaz, agus chuir sé cath ar Iosrael.
20 Mas Sehón no se fió de Israel para darle paso por su término; antes juntando Sehón toda su gente, puso campo en Jaas, y peleó contra Israel.
20 Aber Sihon vertraute Israel nicht, durch sein Gebiet zu ziehen, sondern versammelte all sein Volk und lagerte sich zu Jahza und stritt mit Israel.
21 And the Lord, the God of Israel, gave Sihon and all his people into the hands of Israel, and they overcame them; so all the land of the Amorites, the people of that land, became Israel's.
21 L'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël, livra Sihon et tout son peuple entre les mains d'Israël, qui les battit. Israël s'empara de tout le pays des Amoréens établis dans cette contrée.
21 Thug an Tiarna Dia Iosrael Síochon agus a mhuintir go léir ar láimh d'Iosrael; bhris Iosrael orthu
21 Empero Jehová el Dios de Israel entregó á Sehón y á todo su pueblo en mano de Israel, y venciólos: y poseyó Israel toda la tierra del Amorrheo que habitaba en aquel país.
21 Der HERR aber, der Gott Israels, gab den Sihon mit all seinem Volk in die Hände Israels, daß sie sie schlugen. Also nahm Israel ein alles Land der Amoriter, die in demselben Lande wohnten.
22 All the limit of the Amorites was theirs, from the Arnon as far as the Jabbok and from the waste land even to Jordan.
22 Ils s'emparèrent de tout le territoire des Amoréens, depuis l'Arnon jusqu'au Jabbok, et depuis le désert jusqu'au Jourdain.
22 agus ghabh seilbh ar chríocha uile na nAmórach ó Arnón go Iaboc agus ó fhásach go Iordáin.
22 Poseyeron también todo el término del Amorrheo desde Arnón hasta Jaboc, y desde el desierto hasta el Jordán.
22 Und sie nahmen alles Gebiet der Amoriter ein vom Arnon an bis an den Jabbok und von der Wüste an bis an den Jordan.
23 So now the Lord, the God of Israel, has taken away their land from the Amorites and given it to his people Israel; are you then to have it?
23 Et maintenant que l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël, a chassé les Amoréens devant son peuple d'Israël, est-ce toi qui aurais la possession de leur pays?
23 Má dhíbir an Tiarna Dia Iosrael na hAmóraigh ó Arnón go Iaboc, roimh a phobal Iosrael, an ndéanfaidh do leithéidse sinn a chur as seilbh anois?
23 Así que Jehová el Dios de Israel echó los Amorrheos delante de su pueblo Israel: ¿y lo has de poseer tú?
23 So hat nun der HERR, der Gott Israels, die Amoriter vertrieben vor seinem Volk Israel; und du willst ihr Land einnehmen?
24 Do you not keep the lands of those whom Chemosh your god sends out from before you? So we will keep all the lands of those whom the Lord our God sends out from before us.
24 Ce que ton dieu Kemosch te donne à posséder, ne le posséderais-tu pas? Et tout ce que l'Éternel, notre Dieu, a mis en notre possession devant nous, nous ne le posséderions pas!
24 Nach bhfuil greim agaibh ar gach ar bhain Camóis bhur ndia dá sealbhóirí? Tá greim againne chomh maith ar gach ar bhain an Tiarna ár nDia dá sealbhóirí.
24 Si Chêmos tu Dios te echase alguno, ¿no lo poseerías tú? Así poseeremos nosotros á todo aquel que echó Jehová nuestro Dios de delante de nosotros.
24 Du solltest deren Land einnehmen, die dein Gott Kamos vertriebe, und uns lassen einnehmen das Land aller, die der HERR, unser Gott, vor uns vertrieben hat.
25 What! are you any better than Balak, the son of Zippor, king of Moab? Did he ever take up a cause against Israel or make war against them?
25 Vaux-tu donc mieux que Balak, fils de Tsippor, roi de Moab? A-t-il contesté avec Israël, ou lui a-t-il fait la guerre?
25 An fearr d'fhear thú ná Bálác mac Zipeor rí Mhóab? Ar thug seisean dúshlán Iosrael riamh? Ar chuir sé cogadh riamh orthu?
25 ¿Eres tú ahora en algo mejor que Balac hijo de Sephor, rey de Moab? ¿tuvo él cuestión contra Israel, ó hizo guerra contra ellos?
25 Meinst du, daß du besser recht habest denn Balak, der Sohn Zippors, der Moabiter König? Hat derselbe auch je gerechtet 518eeft oder gestritten wider Israel?
26 While Israel was living in Heshbon and its daughter-towns and in Aroer and its daughter-towns and in all the towns which are by the side of the Arnon, for three hundred years, why did you not get them back at that time?
26 Voilà trois cents ans qu'Israël habite à Hesbon et dans les villes de son ressort, à Aroër et dans les villes de son ressort, et dans toutes les villes qui sont sur les bords de l'Arnon: pourquoi ne les lui avez-vous pas enlevées pendant ce temps-là?
26 Fad a bhí Iosrael ag cur fúthu i Heisbeon agus ina shráidbhailte, nó in Aroéir agus ina shráidbhailte nó in aon cheann de na cathracha ar bhruach na Iordáine [ar feadh trí chéad bliain], cad ina thaobh nár ghnóthaigh sibh na háiteanna sin ar ais i gcaitheamh an ama sin?
26 Cuando Israel ha estado habitando por trescientos años á Hesbón y sus aldeas, á Aroer y sus aldeas, y todas las ciudades que están á los términos de Arnón, ¿por qué no las habéis reclamado en ese tiempo?
26 Dieweil nun Israel dreihundert Jahre gewohnt hat in Hesbon und in Aroer und ihren Ortschaften und allen Städten, die am Arnon liegen, warum errettetet ihr's nicht in dieser Zeit?
27 So I have done no wrong against you, but you are doing wrong to me in fighting against me: may the Lord, who is Judge this day, be judge between the children of Israel and the children of Ammon.
27 Je ne t'ai point offensé, et tu agis mal avec moi en me faisant la guerre. Que l'Éternel, le juge, soit aujourd'hui juge entre les enfants d'Israël et les fils d'Ammon!
27 Maidir liomsa, ní dhearna mé aon choir i bhur n‑aghaidh, ach tá sibhse ag déanamh éagóra orm trí bheith ag cur cogaidh orm. Tugadh an Tiarna, an breitheamh, breith inniu idir clann Iosrael agus na hAmónaigh.”
27 Así que, yo nada he pecado contra ti, mas tú haces mal conmigo haciéndome guerra: Jehová, que es el juez, juzgue hoy entre los hijos de Israel y los hijos de Ammón.
27 Ich habe nichts an dir gesündigt, und du tust so übel an mir, daß du wider mich streitest. Der HERR, der da Richter ist, richte heute zwischen Israel und den Kindern Ammon.
28 The king of the children of Ammon, however, did not give ear to the words which Jephthah sent to him.
28 Le roi des fils d'Ammon n'écouta point les paroles que Jephthé lui fit dire.
28 Níor thug rí na nAmónach aon aird ar an teachtaireacht a chuir Iaftá chuige. Móid agus Bua Iaftá
28 Mas el rey de los hijos de Ammón no atendió las razones de Jephté que le envió.
28 Aber der König der Kinder Ammon erhörte die Rede Jephthahs nicht, die er zu ihm sandte.
29 Then the spirit of the Lord came on Jephthah, and he went through Gilead and Manasseh, and came to Mizpeh of Gilead; and from Mizpeh of Gilead he went over to the children of Ammon.
29 L'esprit de l'Éternel fut sur Jephthé. Il traversa Galaad et Manassé; il passa à Mitspé de Galaad; et de Mitspé de Galaad, il marcha contre les fils d'Ammon.
29 Tháinig spiorad an Tiarna ar Iaftá agus ghabh sé sin trí Ghileád anonn agus trí Mhanaise gur shroich sé Mizpeá i nGileád agus ghluais sé ó Mhizpeá i nGileád ar chúl na nAmónach.
29 Y el espíritu de Jehová fué sobre Jephté: y pasó por Galaad y Manasés; y de allí pasó á Mizpa de Galaad; y de Mizpa de Galaad pasó á los hijos de Ammón.
29 Da kam der Geist des HERRN auf Jephthah, und er zog durch Gilead und Manasse und durch Mizpe, das in Gilead liegt, und von Mizpe, das in Gilead liegt auf die Kinder Ammon.
30 And Jephthah took an oath to the Lord, and said, If you will give the children of Ammon into my hands,
30 Jephthé fit un voeu à l'Éternel, et dit: Si tu livres entre mes mains les fils d'Ammon,

31 Then whoever comes out from the door of my house, meeting me when I come back in peace from the children of Ammon, will be the Lord's and I will give him as a burned offering.
31 quiconque sortira des portes de ma maison au-devant de moi, à mon heureux retour de chez les fils d'Ammon, sera consacré à l'Éternel, et je l'offrirai en holocauste.

32 So Jephthah went over to the children of Ammon to make war on them; and the Lord gave them into his hands.
32 Jephthé marcha contre les fils d'Ammon, et l'Éternel les livra entre ses mains.

32 Pasó pues Jephté á los hijos de Ammón para pelear contra ellos; y Jehová los entregó en su mano.
32 Also zog Jephthah auf die Kinder Ammon, wider sie zu streiten. Und der HERR gab sie in seine Hände.
33 And he made an attack on them from Aroer all the way to Minnith, overrunning twenty towns, as far as Abel-cheramim, and put great numbers to the sword. So the children of Ammon were crushed before the children of Israel.
33 Il leur fit éprouver une très grande défaite, depuis Aroër jusque vers Minnith, espace qui renfermait vingt villes, et jusqu'à Abel Keramim. Et les fils d'Ammon furent humiliés devant les enfants d'Israël.
33 Rinne sé iad a chiapadh ó Aroéir geall leis go Minít [fiche cathair] agus go hÁbael Carámaím gur chuir a n‑ár agus a n‑eirleach i dtreo gur cloíodh na hAmónaigh ag clann Iosrael.
33 Y los hirió de grandísimo estrago desde Aroer hasta llegar á Minnith, veinte ciudades; y hasta la vega de las viñas. Así fueron domeñados los Ammonitas delante de los hijos de Israel.
33 Und er schlug sie von Aroer an, bis wo man kommt gen Minnith, zwanzig Städte, und bis an den Plan der Weinberge, eine sehr große Schlacht. Und wurden also die Kinder Ammon gedemütigt vor den Kindern Israel.
34 Then Jephthah came back to his house in Mizpah, and his daughter came out, meeting him on his way with music and with dances; she was his only child; he had no other sons or daughters.
34 Jephthé retourna dans sa maison à Mitspa. Et voici, sa fille sortit au-devant de lui avec des tambourins et des danses. C'était son unique enfant; il n'avait point de fils et point d'autre fille.

34 Y volviendo Jephté á Mizpa á su casa, he aquí que su hija le salió á recibir con adufes y danzas, y era la sola, la única suya; no tenía fuera de ella otro hijo ni hija.
34 Da nun Jephthah kam gen Mizpa zu seinem Hause, siehe, da geht seine Tochter heraus ihm entgegen mit Pauken und Reigen; und sie war sein einziges Kind, und er hatte sonst keinen Sohn noch Tochter.
35 And when he saw her he was overcome with grief, and said, Ah! my daughter! I am crushed with sorrow, and it is you who are the chief cause of my trouble; for I have made an oath to the Lord and I may not take it back.
35 Dès qu'il la vit, il déchira ses vêtements, et dit: Ah! ma fille! tu me jettes dans l'abattement, tu es au nombre de ceux qui me troublent! J'ai fait un voeu à l'Éternel, et je ne puis le révoquer.
35 Nuair a chonaic sé í stróic sé a chuid éadaigh agus dúirt: “Uch, a iníon ó, cad é mar bhrón a chuireann tú orm! Mo mhairg gur thusa is cúis le mo chumha. Óir thug mé gealltanas don Tiarna agus ní thig liom dul siar ar mo mhóid.”
35 Y como él la vió, rompió sus vestidos diciendo: ¡Ay, hija mía! de verdad me has abatido, y tú eres de los que me afligen: porque yo he abierto mi boca á Jehová, y no podré retractarme.
35 Und da er sie sah, zerriß er seine Kleider und sprach: Ach, meine Tochter, wie beugst du mich und betrübst mich! Denn ich habe meinen Mund aufgetan gegen den HERRN und kann's nicht widerrufen.
36 And she said to him, My father, you have made an oath to the Lord; do then to me whatever you have said; for the Lord has sent a full reward on your haters, on the children of Ammon.
36 Elle lui dit: Mon père, si tu as fait un voeu à l'Éternel, traite-moi selon ce qui est sorti de ta bouche, maintenant que l'Éternel t'a vengé de tes ennemis, des fils d'Ammon.
36 Agus dúirt sise leis: “A athair, má thug tú gealltanas don Tiarna, déan de réir na móide a rinne tú, ó d'imir an Tiarna díoltas thar do cheann ar do naimhde, ar na hAmónaigh.”
36 Ella entonces le respondió: Padre mío, si has abierto tu boca á Jehová, haz de mí como salió de tu boca, pues que Jehová ha hecho venganza en tus enemigos los hijos de Ammón.
36 Sie aber sprach: Mein Vater, hast du deinen Mund aufgetan gegen den HERRN, so tue mir, wie es aus deinem Mund gegangen ist, nachdem der HERR dich gerächt hat an deinen Feinden, den Kindern Ammon.
37 Then she said to her father, Only do this for me: let me have two months to go away into the mountains with my friends, weeping for my sad fate.
37 Et elle dit à son père: Que ceci me soit accordé: laisse-moi libre pendant deux mois! Je m'en irai, je descendrai dans les montagnes, et je pleurerai ma virginité avec mes compagnes.

37 Y tornó á decir á su padre: Hágasme esto: déjame por dos meses que vaya y descienda por los montes, y llore mi virginidad, yo y mis compañeras.
37 Und sie sprach zu ihrem Vater: Du wollest mir das tun, daß du mir lassest zwei Monate, daß ich von hinnen hinabgehe auf die Berge und meine Jungfrauschaft beweine mit meinen Gespielen.
38 And he said, Go then. So he sent her away for two months; and she went with her friends to the mountains, weeping for her sad fate.
38 Il répondit: Va! Et il la laissa libre pour deux mois. Elle s'en alla avec ses compagnes, et elle pleura sa virginité sur les montagnes.
38 D'fhreagair seisean: “Imigh leat,” agus lig sé uaidh í go ceann dhá mhí. D'imigh sí mar sin, í féin agus a compánaigh, agus chaoin sí a hóghacht ar na sléibhte.
38 El entonces dijo: Ve. Y dejóla por dos meses. Y ella fué con sus compañeras, y lloró su virginidad por los montes.
38 Er sprach: Gehe hin! und ließ sie zwei Monate gehen. Da ging sie hin mit ihren Gespielen und beweinte ihre Jungfrauschaft auf den Bergen.
39 And at the end of two months she went back to her father, who did with her as he had said in his oath: and she had never been touched by a man. So it became a rule in Israel,
39 Au bout des deux mois, elle revint vers son père, et il accomplit sur elle le voeu qu'il avait fait. Elle n'avait point connu d'homme. Dès lors s'établit en Israël la coutume
39 Agus i gceann dhá mhí, tháinig sí ar ais chun a hathar agus rinne seisean léi de réir na móide a bhí tugtha aige. Níor chuir sí aithne riamh ar fhear. Rinne nós de in Iosrael
39 Pasados los dos meses volvió á su padre, é hizo de ella conforme á su voto que había hecho. Y ella nunca conoció varón.
39 Und nach zwei Monaten kam sie wieder zu ihrem Vater. Und er tat ihr, wie er gelobt hatte; und sie war nie eines Mannes schuldig geworden. Und es ward eine Gewohnheit in Israel,
40 For the women to go year by year sorrowing for the daughter of Jephthah the Gileadite, four days in every year.
40 que tous les ans les filles d'Israël s'en vont célébrer la fille de Jephthé, le Galaadite, quatre jours par année.
40 go dtéadh cailíní óga Iosrael gach bliain chun iníon Iaftá, an Gileádach, a chaoineadh ar an sliabh ar feadh ceithre lá sa bhliain.
40 De aquí fué la costumbre en Israel que de año en año iban las doncellas de Israel á endechar á la hija de Jephté Galaadita, cuatro días en el año.
40 daß die Töchter Israel jährlich hingehen, zu klagen um die Tochter Jephthahs, des Gileaditers, des Jahres vier Tage.
