1 And the children of Israel did evil in the eyes of the Lord; and the Lord gave them up into the hand of Midian for seven years.
1 Les enfants d'Israël firent ce qui déplaît à l'Éternel; et l'Éternel les livra entre les mains de Madian, pendant sept ans.

1 Mas los hijos de Israel hicieron lo malo en los ojos de Jehová; y Jehová los entregó en las manos de Madián por siete años.
1 Und da die Kinder Israel übel taten vor dem HERRN, gab sie der HERR unter die Hand der Midianiter sieben Jahre.
2 And Midian was stronger than Israel; and because of the Midianites, the children of Israel made holes for themselves in the mountains, and hollows in the rocks, and strong places.
2 La main de Madian fut puissante contre Israël. Pour échapper à Madian, les enfants d'Israël se retiraient dans les ravins des montagnes, dans les cavernes et sur les rochers fortifiés.
2 Luigh Midián go trom ar Iosrael. Bhain clann Iosrael feidhm as pluaiseanna sléibhe agus uaimheanna agus daingin chun teacht slán ó Mhidián.
2 Y la mano de Madián prevaleció contra Israel. Y los hijos de Israel, por causa de los Madianitas, se hicieron cuevas en los montes, y cavernas, y lugares fuertes.
2 Und da der Midianiter Hand zu stark ward über Israel, machten die Kinder Israel für sich Klüfte in den Gebirgen und Höhlen und Festungen.
3 And whenever Israel's grain was planted, the Midianites and the Amalekites and the people of the east came up against them;
3 Quand Israël avait semé, Madian montait avec Amalek et les fils de l'Orient, et ils marchaient contre lui.
3 Nuair a chuireadh Iosrael síol, thagadh Midián fara Amáiléic agus treibheanna an Oirthir, agus d'ionsaídís iad;
3 Pues como los de Israel habían sembrado, subían los Madianitas, y Amalecitas, y los orientales: subían contra ellos;
3 Und wenn Israel etwas säte, so kamen die Midianiter und Amalekiter und die aus dem Morgenlande herauf über sie
4 And put their army in position against them; and they took all the produce of the earth as far as Gaza, till there was no food in Israel, or any sheep or oxen or asses.
4 Ils campaient en face de lui, détruisaient les productions du pays jusque vers Gaza, et ne laissaient en Israël ni vivres, ni brebis, ni boeufs, ni ânes.
4 shuídís a longfort ina gcríocha, agus scriosaídís toradh na talún ar fud na tíre go himill Ghazá, gan beatha ar bith a fhágáil ag Iosrael, caora, ná damh, ná asal.
4 Y asentando campo contra ellos destruían los frutos de la tierra, hasta llegar á Gaza; y no dejaban qué comer en Israel, ni ovejas, ni bueyes, ni asnos.
4 und lagerten sich wider sie und verderbten das Gewächs auf dem Lande bis hinan gen Gaza und ließen nichts übrig von Nahrung in Israel, weder Schafe noch Ochsen noch Esel.
5 For they came up regularly with their oxen and their tents; they came like the locusts in number; they and their camels were without number; and they came into the land for its destruction.
5 Car ils montaient avec leurs troupeaux et leurs tentes, ils arrivaient comme une multitude de sauterelles, ils étaient innombrables, eux et leurs chameaux, et ils venaient dans le pays pour le ravager.
5 Mar thagaidís chomh tiubh le lócaistí lena n‑eallach agus lena mbothanna; níorbh fhéidir a líon féin ná líon a gcamall a áireamh, i dtreo go gcreachaidís an dúiche ina ngabhaidís.
5 Porque subían ellos y sus ganados, y venían con sus tiendas en grande multitud como langosta, que no había número en ellos ni en sus camellos: así venían á la tierra para devastarla.
5 Denn sie kamen herauf mit ihrem Vieh und Hütten wie eine große Menge Heuschrecken, daß weder sie noch ihre Kamele zu zählen waren, und fielen ins Land, daß sie es verderbten.
6 And Israel was in great need because of Midian; and the cry of the children of Israel went up to the Lord.
6 Israël fut très malheureux à cause de Madian, et les enfants d'Israël crièrent à l'Éternel.
6 Bhí Iosrael i gcruachás agus i ngátar, de bharr Mhidián; agus ghlaoigh clann Iosrael ar an Tiarna ag lorg cabhrach.
6 Era pues Israel en gran manera empobrecido por los Madianitas; y los hijos de Israel clamaron á Jehová.
6 Also war Israel sehr gering vor den Midianitern. Da schrieen die Kinder Israel zu dem HERRN.
7 And when the cry of the children of Israel, because of Midian, came before the Lord,
7 Lorsque les enfants d'Israël crièrent à l'Éternel au sujet de Madian,
7 Nuair a ghlaoigh clann Iosrael ar an Tiarna de bharr Mhidián,
7 Y cuando los hijos de Israel hubieron clamado á Jehová, á causa de los Madianitas,
7 Als sie aber zu dem HERRN schrieen um der Midianiter willen,
8 The Lord sent a prophet to the children of Israel, who said to them, The Lord the God of Israel, has said, I took you up from Egypt, out of the prison-house;
8 l'Éternel envoya un prophète aux enfants d'Israël. Il leur dit: Ainsi parle l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël: Je vous ai fait monter d'Égypte, et je vous ai fait sortir de la maison de servitude.
8 chuir an Tiarna fáidh go clann Iosrael, agus dúirt sé leo: “Seo mar a deir an Tiarna: ‘Sheol mé aníos ón Éigipt sibh, agus thug mé amach as teach na daoirse sibh;
8 Jehová envió un varón profeta á los hijos de Israel, el cual les dijo: Así ha dicho Jehová Dios de Israel: Yo os hice salir de Egipto, y os saqué de la casa de servidumbre:
8 sandte der HERR einen Propheten zu ihnen, der sprach zu ihnen: So spricht der HERR, der Gott Israels: Ich habe euch aus Ägypten geführt und aus dem Diensthause gebracht
9 And I took you out of the hands of the Egyptians and out of the hands of all who were cruel to you, and I sent them out by force from before you and gave you their land;
9 Je vous ai délivrés de la main des Égyptiens et de la main de tous ceux qui vous opprimaient; je les ai chassés devant vous, et je vous ai donné leur pays.

9 Yo os libré de mano de los Egipcios, y de mano de todos los que os afligieron, á los cuales eché de delante de vosotros, y os dí su tierra;
9 und habe euch errettet von der Ägypter Hand und von der Hand aller, die euch drängten, und habe sie vor euch her ausgestoßen und ihr Land euch gegeben
10 And I said to you, I am the Lord your God; you are not to give worship to the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living, but you did not give ear to my voice.
10 Je vous ai dit: Je suis l'Éternel, votre Dieu; vous ne craindrez point les dieux des Amoréens, dans le pays desquels vous habitez. Mais vous n'avez point écouté ma voix.
10 Agus dúirt mé libh: “Mise an Tiarna bhur nDia; ná tugaigí ómós do dhéithe na nAmórach, a bhfuil sibh ag cur fúibh ina gcríocha.” Ach níor thug sibh aird ar mo ghlór.” ’
10 Y díjeos: Yo soy Jehová vuestro Dios; no temáis á los dioses de los Amorrheos, en cuya tierra habitáis: mas no habéis obedecido á mi voz.
10 und sprach zu euch: Ich bin der HERR, euer Gott; fürchtet nicht der Amoriter Götter, in deren Lande ihr wohnt. Und ihr habt meiner Stimme nicht gehorcht.
11 Now the angel of the Lord came and took his seat under the oak-tree in Ophrah, in the field of Joash the Abiezrite; and his son Gideon was crushing grain in the place where the grapes were crushed, so that the Midianites might not see it.
11 Puis vint l'ange de l'Éternel, et il s'assit sous le térébinthe d'Ophra, qui appartenait à Joas, de la famille d'Abiézer. Gédéon, son fils, battait du froment au pressoir, pour le mettre à l'abri de Madian.
11 Tháinig aingeal an Tiarna agus shuigh sé faoin gcrann darach in Ofrá a bhain le Ióáis, an tAibíezreach. Bhí a mhacsan Gideón ag bualadh cruithneachta sa chantaoir fhíona d'fhonn í a cheilt ar Mhidián,
11 Y vino el ángel de Jehová, y sentóse debajo del alcornoque que está en Ophra, el cual era de Joas Abiezerita; y su hijo Gedeón estaba sacudiendo el trigo en el lagar, para hacerlo esconder de los Madianitas.
11 Und der Engel des HERRN kam und setzte sich unter eine Eiche zu Ophra, die war des Joas, des Abiesriters; und sein Sohn Gideon drosch Weizen in der Kelter, daß er ihn bärge vor den Midianitern.
12 And the angel of the Lord came before his eyes, and said to him, The Lord is with you, O man of war.
12 L'ange de l'Éternel lui apparut, et lui dit: L'Éternel est avec toi, vaillant héros!
12 agus thaibhsigh aingeal an Tiarna dó go ndúirt leis: “Tá an Tiarna leat, a ghaiscígh chalma!”
12 Y el ángel de Jehová se le apareció, y díjole: Jehová es contigo, varón esforzado.
12 Da erschien ihm der Engel des HERRN und sprach zu ihm: Der HERR mit dir, du streitbarer Held!
13 Then Gideon said to him, O my lord, if the Lord is with us why has all this come on us? And where are all his works of power, of which our fathers have given us word, saying, Did not the Lord take us out of Egypt? But now he has given us up, handing us over to the power of Midian.
13 Gédéon lui dit: Ah! mon seigneur, si l'Éternel est avec nous, pourquoi toutes ces choses nous sont-elles arrivées? Et où sont tous ces prodiges que nos pères nous racontent, quand ils disent: L'Éternel ne nous a-t-il pas fait monter hors d'Égypte? Maintenant l'Éternel nous abandonne, et il nous livre entre les mains de Madian!
13 Dúirt Gideón leis: “Má tá an Tiarna linn, a uasail, cén fáth, más ea, ar tharla na nithe seo uile dúinn? Agus cá bhfuil na héachtaí go léir a d'inis ár n‑aithreacha dúinn, á rá: ‘Nár thug an Tiarna amach as an Éigipt sinn?’ Ach anois tá droim laimhe tugtha ag an Tiarna linn agus táimid tugtha isteach i láimh Mhidián aige.”
13 Y Gedeón le respondió: Ah, Señor mío, si Jehová es con nosotros, ¿por qué nos ha sobrevenido todo esto? ¿Y dónde están todas sus maravillas, que nuestros padres nos han contado, diciendo: ¿No nos sacó Jehová de Egipto? Y ahora Jehová nos ha desamparado, y nos ha entregado en manos de los Madianitas.
13 Gideon aber sprach zu ihm: Mein Herr, ist der HERR mit uns, warum ist uns denn solches alles widerfahren? Und wo sind alle die Wunder, die uns unsre Väter erzählten und sprachen: Der HERR hat uns aus Ägypten geführt? Nun aber hat uns der HERR verlassen und unter der Midianiter Hände gegeben.
14 And the Lord, turning to him, said, Go in the strength you have and be Israel's saviour from Midian: have I not sent you?
14 L'Éternel se tourna vers lui, et dit: Va avec cette force que tu as, et délivre Israël de la main de Madian; n'est-ce pas moi qui t'envoie?
14 Leis sin, d'iompaigh an Tiarna chuige á rá: “Éirigh amach i do neart agus saor Iosrael ó chumhacht Mhidián! Nach mise féin a chuireann uaim thú?”
14 Y mirándole Jehová, díjole: Ve con esta tu fortaleza, y salvarás á Israel de la mano de los Madianitas. ¿No te envío yo?
14 Der HERR aber wandte sich zu ihm und sprach: Gehe hin in dieser deiner Kraft; du sollst Israel erlösen aus der Midianiter Händen. Siehe, ich habe dich gesandt.
15 And he said to him, O Lord, how may I be the saviour of Israel? See, my family is the poorest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house.
15 Gédéon lui dit: Ah! mon seigneur, avec quoi délivrerai-je Israël? Voici, ma famille est la plus pauvre en Manassé, et je suis le plus petit dans la maison de mon père.
15 D'fhreagair seisean: “A Thiarna, conas a thiocfaidh liomsa Iosrael a shaoradh? Is é mo fhinese an fine is laige i Manaise, agus is mise is lú cumas i dteaghlach m'athar.”
15 Entonces le respondió: Ah, Señor mío, ¿con qué tengo de salvar á Israel? He aquí que mi familia es pobre en Manasés, y yo el menor en la casa de mi padre.
15 Er aber sprach zu ihm: Mein Herr, womit soll ich Israel erlösen? Siehe, meine Freundschaft ist die geringste in Manasse, und ich bin der Kleinste in meines Vaters Hause.
16 Then the Lord said to him, Truly, I will be with you, and you will overcome the Midianites as if they were one man.
16 L'Éternel lui dit: Mais je serai avec toi, et tu battras Madian comme un seul homme.
16 Dúirt an Tiarna leis: “Beidh mise leat, agus buailfidh tú Midián amhail is nach mbeadh iontu ach aon duine amháin.”
16 Y Jehová le dijo: Porque yo seré contigo, y herirás á los Madianitas como á un solo hombre.
16 der HERR aber sprach zu ihm: Ich will mit dir sein, daß du die Midianiter schlagen sollst wie einen einzelnen Mann.
17 So he said to him, If now I have grace in your eyes, then give me a sign that it is you who are talking to me.
17 Gédéon lui dit: Si j'ai trouvé grâce à tes yeux, donne-moi un signe pour montrer que c'est toi qui me parles.
17 “Má fuair mé gean uait,” arsa Gideón leis, “tabhair dom comhartha gur tusa féin atá ag labhairt liom.
17 Y él respondió: Yo te ruego, que si he hallado gracia delante de ti, me des señal de que tú has hablado conmigo.
17 Er aber sprach zu ihm: Habe ich Gnade vor dir gefunden, so mache mir doch ein Zeichen, daß du es seist, der mit mir redet;
18 Do not go away till I come with my offering and put it before you. And he said, I will not go away before you come back.
18 Ne t'éloigne point d'ici jusqu'à ce que je revienne auprès de toi, que j'apporte mon offrande, et que je la dépose devant toi. Et l'Éternel dit: Je resterai jusqu'à ce que tu reviennes.
18 Guím thú gan imeacht as seo nó go dtiocfaidh mé chugat arís agus go dtabharfaidh mé m'íobairt chugat, agus go gcuirfidh mé i do láthair í.” Agus d'fhreagair seisean: “Fanfaidh mé go dtiocfaidh tú ar ais.”
18 Ruégote que no te vayas de aquí, hasta que á ti vuelva, y saque mi presente, y lo ponga delante de ti. Y él respondió: Yo esperaré hasta que vuelvas.
18 weiche nicht, bis ich zu dir komme und bringe mein Speisopfer und es vor dir hinlege. Er sprach: Ich will bleiben bis daß du wiederkommst.
19 Then Gideon went in and made ready a young goat, and with an ephah of meal he made unleavened cakes: he put the meat in a basket and the soup in which it had been cooked he put in a pot, and he took it out to him under the oak-tree and gave it to him there.
19 Gédéon entra, prépara un chevreau, et fit avec un épha de farine des pains sans levain. Il mit la chair dans un panier et le jus dans un pot, les lui apporta sous le térébinthe, et les présenta.
19 D'imigh Gideón abhaile ansin agus d'ullmhaigh meannán agus builíní aráin gan ghabháile as éafá plúir. Chuir sé an fheoil i gciseán agus an t‑anraith i gcorcán agus thug sé chuige iad mar a raibh sé faoin dair. Nuair a dhruid sé leis,
19 Y entrándose Gedeón aderezó un cabrito, y panes sin levadura de un epha de harina; y puso la carne en un canastillo, y el caldo en una olla, y sacándolo presentóselo debajo de aquel alcornoque.
19 Und Gideon kam und richtete zu ein Ziegenböcklein und ein Epha ungesäuerten Mehls und legte das Fleisch in einen Korb und tat die Brühe in einen Topf und brachte es zu ihm heraus unter die Eiche und trat herzu.
20 And the angel of God said to him, Take the meat and the unleavened cakes and put them down on the rock over there, draining out the soup over them. And he did so.
20 L'ange de Dieu lui dit: Prends la chair et les pains sans levain, pose-les sur ce rocher, et répands le jus. Et il fit ainsi.
20 dúirt Dia leis: “Beir leat an fheoil, agus na builíní gan ghabháile, agus cuir ar an gcarraig seo iad, agus doirt an t‑anraith orthu.” Rinne sé amhlaidh.
20 Y el ángel de Dios le dijo: Toma la carne, y los panes sin levadura, y ponlo sobre esta peña, y vierte el caldo. Y él lo hizo así.
20 Aber der Engel Gottes sprach zu ihm: Nimm das Fleisch und das Ungesäuerte und lege es hin auf den Fels, der hier ist, und gieß die Brühe aus. Und er tat also.
21 Then the angel of the Lord put out the stick which was in his hand, touching the meat and the cakes with the end of it; and a flame came up out of the rock, burning up the meat and the cakes: and the angel of the Lord was seen no longer.
21 L'ange de l'Éternel avança l'extrémité du bâton qu'il avait à la main, et toucha la chair et les pains sans levain. Alors il s'éleva du rocher un feu qui consuma la chair et les pains sans levain. Et l'ange de l'Éternel disparut à ses yeux.
21 Leis sin shín aingeal an Tiarna barr na slaite a bhí ina láimh, gur bhain leis an bhfeoil agus leis na builíní gan ghabháile. Phreab tine as an gcarraig ansin agus loisc an fheoil agus na builíní gan ghabháile, agus leis sin sceinn aingeal an Tiarna as amharc.
21 Y extendiendo el ángel de Jehová el bordón que tenía en su mano, tocó con la punta en la carne y en los panes sin levadura; y subió fuego de la peña, el cual consumió la carne y los panes sin levadura. Y el ángel de Jehová desapareció de delante de él.
21 Da reckte der Engel des HERRN den Stecken aus, den er in der Hand hatte, und rührte mit der Spitze das Fleisch und das Ungesäuerte an. Und das Feuer fuhr aus dem Fels und verzehrte das Fleisch und das Ungesäuerte. Und der Engel des HERRN verschwand aus seinen Augen.
22 Then Gideon was certain that he was the angel of the Lord; and Gideon said, I am in fear, O Lord God! for I have seen the angel of the Lord face to face.
22 Gédéon, voyant que c'était l'ange de l'Éternel, dit: Malheur à moi, Seigneur Éternel! car j'ai vu l'ange de l'Éternel face à face.
22 Thuig Gideón ansin gurbh é aingeal an Tiarna a bhí ann agus dúirt sé: “Faraor, a Thiarna Dia! Chonaic mé aingeal an Tiarna gnúis le gnúis!”
22 Y viendo Gedeón que era el ángel de Jehová, dijo: Ah, Señor Jehová, que he visto el ángel de Jehová cara á cara.
22 Da nun Gideon sah, daß es der Engel des HERRN war, sprach er: Ach HERR HERR! habe ich also den Engel des HERRN von Angesicht gesehen?
23 But the Lord said to him, Peace be with you; have no fear: you are in no danger of death.
23 Et l'Éternel lui dit: Sois en paix, ne crains point, tu ne mourras pas.
23 Ach dúirt an Tiarna leis: “Síocháin leat! Ná bíodh eagla ort, ní bhfaighidh tú bás.”
23 Y Jehová le dijo: Paz á ti; no tengas temor, no morirás.
23 Aber der HERR sprach zu ihm: Friede sei mit dir! Fürchte dich nicht; du wirst nicht sterben.
24 Then Gideon made an altar there to the Lord, and gave it the name Yahweh-shalom; to this day it is in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.
24 Gédéon bâtit là un autel à l'Éternel, et lui donna pour nom l'Éternel paix: il existe encore aujourd'hui à Ophra, qui appartenait à la famille d'Abiézer.
24 Thóg Gideón altóir don Tiarna san áit sin, agus thug sé Síocháin É An Tiarna mar ainm uirthi. Tá sí ina seasamh ansiúd fós in Ofrá na nAibíezreach.
24 Y edificó allí Gedeón altar á Jehová, al que llamó Jehová-salom: está hasta hoy en Ophra de los Abiezeritas.
24 Da baute Gideon daselbst dem HERRN einen Altar und hieß ihn: Der HERR ist der Friede. Der steht noch bis auf diesen heutigen Tag zu Ophra, der Stadt der Abiesriter.
25 The same night the Lord said to him, Take ten men of your servants and an ox seven years old, and after pulling down the altar of Baal which is your father's, and cutting down the holy tree by its side,
25 Dans la même nuit, l'Éternel dit à Gédéon: Prends le jeune taureau de ton père, et un second taureau de sept ans. Renverse l'autel de Baal qui est à ton père, et abats le pieu sacré qui est dessus.
25 Dúirt an Tiarna leis an oíche sin: “Faigh gamhain ramhar d'athar, an dara ceann. Leag anuas an altóir do Bhál atá ag d'athair, agus gearr anuas an cuaille naofa taobh léi.
25 Y aconteció que la misma noche le dijo Jehová: Toma un toro del hato de tu padre, y otro toro de siete años, y derriba el altar de Baal que tu padre tiene, y corta también el bosque que está junto á él:
25 Und in derselben Nacht sprach der HERR zu ihm: Nimm einen Farren unter den Ochsen, die deines Vaters sind, und einen andern Farren, der siebenjährig ist, und zerbrich den Altar Baals, der deines Vaters ist, und haue um das Ascherabild, das dabei steht,
26 Make an altar to the Lord your God on the top of this rock, in the ordered way and take the ox and make a burned offering with the wood of the holy tree which has been cut down.
26 Tu bâtiras ensuite et tu disposeras, sur le haut de ce rocher, un autel à l'Éternel ton Dieu. Tu prendras le second taureau, et tu offriras un holocauste, avec le bois de l'idole que tu auras abattue.
26 Tóg altóir chloch dea-chumtha don Tiarna do Dhia ar bharr an fharragáin seo. Ansin faigh an gamhain ramhar, an dara ceann, agus íobair é mar íobairt dhóite le hadhmad an chuaille a bheidh gearrtha anuas agat.”
26 Y edifica altar á Jehová tu Dios en la cumbre de este peñasco en lugar conveniente; y tomando el segundo toro, sacrifícalo en holocausto sobre la leña del bosque que habrás cortado.
26 und baue dem HERRN, deinem Gott, oben auf der Höhe dieses Felsens einen Altar und rüste ihn zu und nimm den andern Farren und opfere ein Brandopfer mit dem Holz des Ascherabildes, das du abgehauen hast.
27 Then Gideon took ten of his servants and did as the Lord had said to him; but fearing to do it by day, because of his father's people and the men of the town, he did it by night.
27 Gédéon prit dix hommes parmi ses serviteurs, et fit ce que l'Éternel avait dit; mais, comme il craignait la maison de son père et les gens de la ville, il l'exécuta de nuit, et non de jour.
27 Thogh Gideón deichniúr dá ghiollaí agus rinne mar a dúirt an Tiarna leis. Ach le barr eagla roimh a theaghlach féin agus muintir an bhaile é sin a dhéanamh leis an lá, rinne sé é leis an oíche.
27 Entonces Gedeón tomó diez hombres de sus siervos, é hizo como Jehová le dijo. Mas temiendo hacerlo de día, por la familia de su padre y por los hombres de la ciudad, hízolo de noche.
27 Da nahm Gideon zehn Männer aus seinen Knechten und tat, wie ihm der HERR gesagt hatte. Aber er fürchtete sich, solches zu tun des Tages, vor seines Vaters Haus und den Leuten in der Stadt, und tat's bei der Nacht.
28 And the men of the town got up early in the morning, and they saw the altar of Baal broken down, and the holy tree which was by it cut down, and the ox offered on the altar which had been put up there.
28 Lorsque les gens de la ville se furent levés de bon matin, voici, l'autel de Baal était renversé, le pieu sacré placé dessus était abattu, et le second taureau était offert en holocauste sur l'autel qui avait été bâti.
28 Nuair a d'éirigh muintir an bhaile ar maidin lá arna mharach, féach! bhí altóir Bhál leagtha anuas, an cuaille naofa a bhí taobh léi scriosta, agus an gamhain ramhar eile ofráilte ina íobairt dhóite ar an altóir eile a tógadh.
28 Y á la mañana, cuando los de la ciudad se levantaron, he aquí que el altar de Baal estaba derribado, y cortado el bosque que junto á él estaba, y sacrificado aquel segundo toro en holocausto sobre el altar edificado.
28 Da nun die Leute in der Stadt des Morgens früh aufstanden, siehe, da war der Altar Baals zerbrochen und das Ascherabild dabei abgehauen und der andere Farre ein Brandopfer auf dem Altar, der gebaut war.
29 And they said to one another, Who has done this thing? And after searching with care, they said, Gideon, the son of Joash, has done this thing.
29 Ils se dirent l'un à l'autre: Qui a fait cela? Et ils s'informèrent et firent des recherches. On leur dit: C'est Gédéon, fils de Joas, qui a fait cela.
29 “Cé rinne é seo?” ar siad lena chéile. Cheistíodar agus rinneadar iniúchadh, agus dúradar: “Sé Gideón mac Ióáis a rinne é seo!”
29 Y decíanse unos á otros: ¿Quién ha hecho esto? Y buscando é inquiriendo, dijéronles: Gedeón hijo de Joas lo ha hecho. Entonces los hombres de la ciudad dijeron á Joas:
29 Und einer sprach zu dem andern: Wer hat das getan? Und da sie suchten und nachfragten, ward gesagt: Gideon, der Sohn des Joas, hat das getan.
30 Then the men of the town said to Joash, Make your son come out to be put to death, for pulling down the altar of Baal and cutting down the holy tree which was by it.
30 Alors les gens de la ville dirent à Joas: Fais sortir ton fils, et qu'il meure, car il a renversé l'autel de Baal et abattu le pieu sacré qui était dessus.
30 Ansin dúirt muintir an bhaile le Ióáis: “Tabhair amach do mhac, mar ní foláir é a chur chun báis, mar gur leag sé anuas altóir Bhál, agus gur ghearr sé anuas an cuaille naofa a bhí taobh leis.”
30 Saca fuera tu hijo para que muera, por cuanto ha derribado el altar de Baal y ha cortado el bosque que junto á él estaba.
30 Da sprachen die Leute der Stadt zu Joas: Gib deinen Sohn heraus; er muß sterben, daß er den Altar Baals zerbrochen und das Ascherabild dabei abgehauen hat.
31 But Joash said to all those who were attacking him, Will you take up the cause of Baal? will you be his saviour? Let anyone who will take up his cause be put to death while it is still morning: if he is a god, let him take up his cause himself because of the pulling down of his altar.
31 Joas répondit à tous ceux qui se présentèrent à lui: Est-ce à vous de prendre parti pour Baal? est-ce à vous de venir à son secours? Quiconque prendra parti pour Baal mourra avant que le matin vienne. Si Baal est un dieu, qu'il plaide lui-même sa cause, puisqu'on a renversé son autel.
31 Ach dúirt Ióáis leis an muintir go léir a bhí cruinnithe ina aghaidh: “An bhfuil fonn oraibh aighneas a dhéanamh ar mhaithe le Bál, agus seasamh leis? [Aon duine a dhéanfaidh aighneas ar mhaithe le Bál, cuirtear chun báis é roimh mhaidin.] Más dia é, déanadh sé a chuid aighnis dó féin, ós rud é gur scriosadh a altóir.”
31 Y Joas respondió á todos los que estaban junto á él: ¿Tomaréis vosotros la demanda por Baal? ¿le salvaréis vosotros? Cualquiera que tomare la demanda por él, que muera mañana. Si es Dios, contienda por sí mismo con el que derribó su altar.
31 Joas aber sprach zu allen, die bei ihm standen: Wollt ihr um Baal hadern? Wollt ihr ihm helfen? Wer um ihn hadert, der soll dieses Morgens sterben. Ist er Gott, so rechte er um sich selbst, daß sein Altar zerbrochen ist.
32 So that day he gave him the name of Jerubbaal, saying, Let Baal take up his cause against him because his altar has been broken down.
32 Et en ce jour l'on donna à Gédéon le nom de Jerubbaal, en disant: Que Baal plaide contre lui, puisqu'il a renversé son autel.
32 Tugadh Iarubál ar Ghideón an lá sin, mar dúradar: “Ní foláir do Bhál aighneas a dhéanamh ina choinne, ós rud é gur scrios sé a altóir.”
32 Y aquel día llamó él á Gedeón Jerobaal; porque dijo: Pleitee Baal contra el que derribó su altar.
32 Von dem Tag an hieß man ihn Jerubbaal und sprach: Baal rechte mit ihm, daß er seinen Altar zerbrochen hat.
33 Then all the Midianites and the Amalekites and the people of the east, banding themselves together, went over and put up their tents in the valley of Jezreel.
33 Tout Madian, Amalek et les fils de l'Orient, se rassemblèrent; ils passèrent le Jourdain, et campèrent dans la vallée de Jizréel.
33 Ansin chruinnigh Midián agus Amáiléic, agus muintir an Oirthir go léir le chéile; ghabhadar thar an Iordáin agus shuíodar a longfort i nGleann Izréil.
33 Y todos los Madianitas, y Amalecitas, y orientales, se juntaron á una, y pasando asentaron campo en el valle de Jezreel.
33 Da nun alle Midianiter und Amalekiter und die aus dem Morgenland sich zuhauf versammelt hatten und zogen herüber und lagerten sich im Grunde Jesreel,
34 But the spirit of the Lord came on Gideon; and at the sound of his horn all Abiezer came together after him.
34 Gédéon fut revêtu de l'esprit de l'Éternel; il sonna de la trompette, et Abiézer fut convoqué pour marcher à sa suite.
34 Tháinig spiorad an Tiarna ar Ghideón: shéid sé ar an adharc agus d'fhreagair Aibíezir go léir a ghlaoch.
34 Y el espíritu de Jehová se envistió en Gedeón, y como éste hubo tocado el cuerno, Abiezer se juntó con él.
34 erfüllte der Geist des HERRN den Gideon; und er ließ die Posaune blasen und rief die Abiesriter, daß sie ihm folgten,
35 And he sent through all Manasseh, and they came after him; and he sent to Asher and Zebulun and Naphtali, and they came up and were joined to the others.
35 Il envoya des messagers dans tout Manassé, qui fut aussi convoqué pour marcher à sa suite. Il envoya des messagers dans Aser, dans Zabulon et dans Nephthali, qui montèrent à leur rencontre.
35 Chuir sé teachtairí ar fud Mhanaise go léir chomh maith agus d'fhreagair siadsan é. Chuir sé teachtairí go hÁiséar, go Zabúlun, agus go Naftáilí agus amach leo sin chuige chomh maith.
35 Y envió mensajeros por todo Manasés, el cual también se juntó con él: asimismo envió mensajeros á Aser, y á Zabulón, y á Nephtalí, los cuales salieron á encontrarles.
35 und sandte Botschaft zu ganz Manasse und rief sie an, daß sie ihm auch nachfolgten. Er sandte auch Botschaft zu Asser und Sebulon und Naphthali; die kamen herauf, ihm entgegen.
36 Then Gideon said to God, If you are going to give Israel salvation by my hand, as you have said,
36 Gédéon dit à Dieu: Si tu veux délivrer Israël par ma main, comme tu l'as dit,
36 Dúirt Gideón le Dia: “Má tá sé beartaithe agat dáiríre Iosrael a fhuascailt le neart mo láimhe, mar a dúirt tú,
36 Y Gedeón dijo á Dios: Si has de salvar á Israel por mi mano, como has dicho,
36 Und Gideon sprach zu Gott: Willst du Israel durch meine Hand erlösen, wie du geredet hast,
37 See, I will put the wool of a sheep on the grain-floor; if there is dew on the wool only, while all the earth is dry, then I will be certain that it is your purpose to give Israel salvation by my hand as you have said.
37 voici, je vais mettre une toison de laine dans l'aire; si la toison seule se couvre de rosée et que tout le terrain reste sec, je connaîtrai que tu délivreras Israël par ma main, comme tu l'as dit.
37 féach, seo lomra olla á leathadh agam ar an urlár buailte. Má bhíonn drúcht ar an lomra amháin, agus an t‑urlár go léir tirim, ansin beidh a fhios agam go ndéanfaidh tú Iosrael a fhuascailt le neart mo láimhe, mar a dúirt tú.”
37 He aquí que yo pondré un vellón de lana en la era; y si el rocío estuviere en el vellón solamente, quedando seca toda la otra tierra, entonces entenderé que has de salvar á Israel por mi mano, como lo has dicho.
37 so will ich ein Fell mit der Wolle auf die Tenne legen. Wird der Tau auf dem Fell allein sein und die ganze Erde umher trocken, so will ich merken, daß du Israel erlösen wirst durch meine Hand, wie du geredet hast.
38 And it was so: for he got up early on the morning after, and twisting the wool in his hands, he got a basin full of water from the dew on the wool.
38 Et il arriva ainsi. Le jour suivant, il se leva de bon matin, pressa la toison, et en fit sortir la rosée, qui donna de l'eau plein une coupe.
38 Agus is amhlaidh a bhí. D'éirigh sé go moch lá arna mhárach, agus d'fháisc an lomra agus bhain lán coirn de dhrúcht as an lomra.
38 Y aconteció así: porque como se levantó de mañana, exprimiendo el vellón sacó de él el rocío, un vaso lleno de agua.
38 Und es geschah also. Und da er des andern Morgens früh aufstand, drückte er den Tau aus vom Fell und füllte eine Schale voll des Wassers.
39 Then Gideon said to God, Do not be moved to wrath against me if I say only this: let me make one more test with the wool; let the wool now be dry, while the earth is covered with dew.
39 Gédéon dit à Dieu: Que ta colère ne s'enflamme point contre moi, et je ne parlerai plus que cette fois: Je voudrais seulement faire encore une épreuve avec la toison: que la toison seule reste sèche, et que tout le terrain se couvre de rosée.
39 Ansin labhair Gideón arís le Dia: “Ná bí i bhfearg liom má labhraím arís eile! Lig dom aon triail amháin eile fós a dhéanamh leis an lomra. Bíodh an lomra amháin tirim, agus bíodh drúcht ar an urlár go léir ina thimpeall.”
39 Mas Gedeón dijo á Dios: No se encienda tu ira contra mí, si aun hablare esta vez: solamente probaré ahora otra vez con el vellón. Ruégote que la sequedad sea sólo en el vellón, y el rocío sobre la tierra.
39 Und Gideon sprach zu Gott: Dein Zorn ergrimme nicht wider mich, daß ich noch einmal rede. Ich will's nur noch einmal versuchen mit dem Fell. Es sei allein auf dem Fell trocken und der Tau auf der ganzen Erde.
40 And that night God did so; for the wool was dry, and there was dew on all the earth round it.
40 Et Dieu fit ainsi cette nuit-là. La toison seule resta sèche, et tout le terrain se couvrit de rosée.
40 Rinne Dia amhlaidh an oíche sin; d'fhan an lomra amháin tirim agus bhí drúcht ar an talamh go léir ina thimpeall.
40 Y aquella noche lo hizo Dios así: porque la sequedad fué sólo en el vellón, y en toda la tierra estuvo el rocío.
40 Und Gott tat also dieselbe Nacht, daß es trocken war allein auf dem Fell und Tau auf der ganzen Erde.
