1 Now after a long time, when the Lord had given Israel rest from wars on every side, and Joshua was old and full of years,
1 Depuis longtemps l'Éternel avait donné du repos à Israël, en le délivrant de tous les ennemis qui l'entouraient. Josué était vieux, avancé en âge.

1 Y Acontecio, pasados muchos días después que Jehová dió reposo á Israel de todos sus enemigos al contorno, que Josué, siendo viejo, y entrado en días,
1 Und nach langer Zeit, da der HERR hatte Israel zur Ruhe gebracht vor allen ihren Feinden umher und Josua nun alt und wohl betagt war,
2 Joshua sent for all Israel, for their responsible men and their chiefs and their judges and their overseers, and said to them, I am old, and full of years:
2 Alors Josué convoqua tout Israël, ses anciens, ses chefs, ses juges et ses officiers. Il leur dit: Je suis vieux, je suis avancé en âge.
2 chuir Iósua tionól ar Iosrael go léir, ar a seanóirí, a dtaoisigh, a mbreithiúna agus a bhfeidhmeannaigh, agus dúirt sé leo: “Seanduine mise anois, anonn go maith sna blianta.
2 Llamó á todo Israel, á sus ancianos, á sus príncipes, á sus jueces y á sus oficiales, y díjoles: Yo soy ya viejo y entrado en días:
2 berief er das ganze Israel, ihre Ältesten, Häupter, Richter und Amtleute, und sprach zu ihnen: Ich bin alt und wohl betagt,
3 You have seen everything the Lord your God has done to all these nations because of you; for it is the Lord your God who has been fighting for you.
3 Vous avez vu tout ce que l'Éternel, votre Dieu, a fait à toutes ces nations devant vous; car c'est l'Éternel, votre Dieu, qui a combattu pour vous.
3 Chonaic sibhse féin le bhur súile cinn na nithe sin go léir a rinne an Tiarna ár nDia leis na ciníocha seo go léir. An Tiarna bhur nDia a throid ar bhur son.
3 Y vosotros habéis visto todo lo que Jehová vuestro Dios ha hecho con todas estas gentes en vuestra presencia; porque Jehová vuestro Dios ha peleado por vosotros.
3 und ihr habt gesehen alles, was der HERR, euer Gott, getan hat an allen diesen Völkern vor euch her; denn der HERR, euer Gott, hat selber für euch gestritten.
4 Now I have given to you, as the heritage of your tribes, all these nations which are still in the land, together with those cut off by me, from Jordan as far as the Great Sea on the west.
4 Voyez, je vous ai donné en héritage par le sort, selon vos tribus, ces nations qui sont restées, à partir du Jourdain, et toutes les nations que j'ai exterminées, jusqu'à la grande mer vers le soleil couchant.
4 Dháil mé oraibh, mar oidhreacht do bhur dtreibheanna, na ciníocha atá fós gan cloí chomh maith leo sin go léir a scrios mé idir an Iordáin agus an Fharraige Mhór thiar.
4 He aquí os he repartido por suerte, en herencia para vuestras tribus, estas gentes, así las destruídas como las que quedan, desde el Jordán hasta la gran mar hacia donde el sol se pone.
4 Seht, ich habe euch diese noch übrigen Völker durchs Los zugeteilt, einem jeglichen Stamm sein Erbteil, vom Jordan an, und alle Völker, die ich ausgerottet habe, und am großen Meer gegen der Sonne Untergang.
5 The Lord your God will send them away by force, driving them out before you; and you are to take their land for your heritage, as the Lord your God said to you.
5 L'Éternel, votre Dieu, les repoussera devant vous et les chassera devant vous; et vous posséderez leur pays, comme l'Éternel, votre Dieu, vous l'a dit.
5 Déanfaidh an Tiarna bhur nDia iad a thiomáint amach romhaibh, agus iad a dhíbirt ó bhur láthair, agus gheobhaidh sibh seilbh ar an talamh mar a gheall an Tiarna bhur nDia daoibh.
5 Y Jehová vuestro Dios las echará de delante de vosotros, y las lanzará de vuestra presencia: y vosotros poseeréis sus tierras, como Jehová vuestro Dios os ha dicho.
5 Und der HERR, euer Gott, wird sie ausstoßen vor euch und von euch vertreiben, daß ihr ihr Land einnehmt, wie euch der HERR, euer Gott, geredet hat.
6 So be very strong to keep and do whatever is recorded in the book of the law of Moses, not turning away from it to the right or to the left;
6 Appliquez-vous avec force à observer et à mettre en pratique tout ce qui est écrit dans le livre de la loi de Moïse, sans vous en détourner ni à droite ni à gauche.
6 Seasaigí an fód dá bhrí sin agus déanaigí agus comhlíonaigí a bhfuil scríofa i leabhar dlí Mhaois, gan claonadh ar dheis uaidh, ná ar chlé,
6 Esforzaos pues mucho á guardar y hacer todo lo que está escrito en el libro de la ley de Moisés, sin apartaros de ello ni á la diestra ni á la siniestra;
6 So seid nun sehr getrost, daß ihr haltet und tut alles, was geschrieben steht im Gesetzbuch Mose's, daß ihr nicht davon weicht, weder zur Rechten noch zur Linken,
7 Have nothing to do with these nations who still are living among you; let not their gods be named by you or used in your oaths; do not be their servants or give them worship:
7 Ne vous mêlez point avec ces nations qui sont restées parmi vous; ne prononcez point le nom de leurs dieux, et ne l'employez point en jurant; ne les servez point, et ne vous prosternez point devant eux.
7 ná caidreamh a dhéanamh leis na ciníocha atá fágtha fós in bhur measc, ná ainmneacha a ndéithe a lua, ná mionnú dar iad, ná fónamh dóibh, ná sléachtadh rompu.
7 Que cuando entrareis á estas gentes que han quedado con vosotros, no hagáis mención ni juréis por el nombre de sus dioses, ni los sirváis, ni os inclinéis á ellos:
7 auf daß ihr nicht unter diese übrigen Völker kommt, die bei euch sind, und nicht gedenkt noch schwört bei dem Namen ihrer Götter noch ihnen dient noch sie anbetet,
8 But be true to the Lord your God as you have been till this day.
8 Mais attachez-vous à l'Éternel, votre Dieu, comme vous l'avez fait jusqu'à ce jour.
8 Ach bígí dílis don Tiarna bhur nDia mar a bhí sibh go dtí an lá seo féin.
8 Mas á Jehová vuestro Dios os allegaréis, como habéis hecho hasta hoy;
8 sondern dem HERRN, eurem Gott, anhangt, wie ihr bis auf diesen Tag getan habt.
9 For the Lord has sent out from before you nations great and strong: and they have all given way before you till this day.
9 L'Éternel a chassé devant vous des nations grandes et puissantes; et personne, jusqu'à ce jour, n'a pu vous résister.
9 Óir dhíbir an Tiarna ciníocha móra tréana romhaibh agus níorbh fhéidir d'aon duine an fód a sheasamh in bhur n‑aghaidhse go dtí inniu féin.
9 Pues ha echado Jehová delante de vosotros grandes y fuertes naciones, y hasta hoy nadie ha podido parar delante de vuestro rostro.
9 Der HERR hat vor euch vertrieben große und mächtige Völker, und niemand hat euch widerstanden bis auf diesen Tag.
10 One man of you is able to put to flight a thousand; for it is the Lord your God who is fighting for you, as he has said to you.
10 Un seul d'entre vous en poursuivait mille; car l'Éternel, votre Dieu, combattait pour vous, comme il vous l'a dit.
10 Cuireann duine agaibh an teitheadh ar mhíle, mar is é an Tiarna bhur nDia a throideann ar bhur son, faoi mar gheall sé daoibh.
10 Un varón de vosotros perseguirá á mil: porque Jehová vuestro Dios pelea por vosotros, como él os dijo.
10 Euer einer jagt tausend; denn der HERR, euer Gott, streitet für euch, wie er euch geredet hat.
11 So keep watch on yourselves, and see that you have love for the Lord your God.
11 Veillez donc attentivement sur vos âmes, afin d'aimer l'Éternel, votre Dieu.
11 Déanaigí deimhin de, más ansa libh bhur n‑anam, grá a thabhairt don Tiarna bhur nDia.
11 Por tanto, cuidad mucho por vuestras almas, que améis á Jehová vuestro Dios.
11 Darum so behütet aufs fleißigste eure Seelen, daß ihr dem HERRN, euren Gott, liebhabt.
12 For if you go back, joining yourselves to the rest of these nations who are still among you, getting married to them and living with them and they with you:
12 Si vous vous détournez et que vous vous attachez au reste de ces nations qui sont demeurées parmi vous, si vous vous unissez avec elles par des mariages, et si vous formez ensemble des relations,
12 Má bhíonn sibh mídhílis agus caidreamh a dhéanamh le fuíoll na gciníocha a fágadh anseo in bhur measc, agus cleamhnais a dhéanamh leo i dtreo go bpósfaidh sibh a gcuid ban agus go bpósfaidh siadsan bhur gcuidse,
12 Porque si os apartareis, y os allegareis á lo que resta de aquestas gentes que han quedado con vosotros, y si concertareis con ellas matrimonios, y entrareis á ellas, y ellas á vosotros;
12 Denn wo ihr euch umwendet und diesen Völkern anhangt und euch mit ihnen verheiratet, daß ihr unter sie und sie unter euch kommen:
13 Then you may be certain that the Lord your God will not go on driving these nations out from before you; but they will become a danger and a cause of sin to you, a whip for your sides and thorns in your eyes, till you are cut off from this good land which the Lord your God has given you.
13 soyez certains que l'Éternel, votre Dieu, ne continuera pas à chasser ces nations devant vous; mais elles seront pour vous un filet et un piège, un fouet dans vos côtés et des épines dans vos yeux, jusqu'à ce que vous ayez péri de dessus ce bon pays que l'Éternel, votre Dieu, vous a donné.
13 bíodh a fhios agaibh go dearfa nach leanfaidh an Tiarna bhur nDia air ag díbirt na gciníocha seo romhaibh; beidh siad mar ghaiste agus mar shlogaide agaibh, mar sciúirse ar bhur maotháin agus mar dhealg in bhur súile go dté sibh ar ceal ón tír fhónta seo a thug an Tiarna daoibh.
13 Sabed que Jehová vuestro Dios no echará más estas gentes delante de vosotros; antes os serán por lazo, y por tropiezo, y por azote para vuestros costados, y por espinas para vuestros ojos, hasta tanto que perezcáis de aquesta buena tierra que Jehová vuestro Dios os ha dado.
13 so wisset, daß der HERR, euer Gott, wird nicht mehr alle diese Völker vor euch vertreiben; sondern sie werden euch zum Strick und Netz und zur Geißel in euren Seiten werden und zum Stachel in eure Augen, bis daß er euch umbringe hinweg von dem guten Lande, das euch der HERR, euer Gott, gegeben hat.
14 Now I am about to go the way of all the earth: and you have seen and are certain, all of you, in your hearts and souls, that in all the good things which the Lord said about you, he has kept faith with you; everything has come true for you.
14 Voici, je m'en vais maintenant par le chemin de toute la terre. Reconnaissez de tout votre coeur et de toute votre âme qu'aucune de toutes les bonnes paroles prononcées sur vous par l'Éternel, votre Dieu, n'est restée sans effet; toutes se sont accomplies pour vous, aucune n'est restée sans effet.
14 “Ní foláir domsa anois bealach na cré go léir a ghabháil. Déanadh gach mac máthar díbh a admháil ó chroí agus ó anam, nár theip ar oiread agus gealltanas de na gealltanais go léir a thug an Tiarna bhur nDia in bhur dtaobh; comhlíonadh iad go léir, gan ceann a theip.
14 Y he aquí que yo estoy para entrar hoy por el camino de toda la tierra: reconoced, pues, con todo vuestro corazón y con toda vuestra alma, que no se ha perdido una palabra de todas la buenas palabras que Jehová vuestro Dios había dicho de vosotros: todas os han venido, no se ha perdido de ellas ni una.
14 Siehe, ich gehe heute dahin wie alle Welt; und ihr sollt wissen von ganzem Herzen und von ganzer Seele, daß nicht ein Wort gefehlt hat an all dem Guten, das der HERR, euer Gott, euch verheißen hat. Es ist alles gekommen und keins ausgeblieben.
15 And you will see that, as all the good things which the Lord your God undertook to do for you, have come to you, so the Lord will send down on you all the evil things till he has made your destruction complete, and you are cut off from the good land which the Lord your God has given you.
15 Et comme toutes les bonnes paroles que l'Éternel, votre Dieu, vous avait dites se sont accomplies pour vous, de même l'Éternel accomplira sur vous toutes les paroles mauvaises, jusqu'à ce qu'il vous ait détruits de dessus ce bon pays que l'Éternel, votre Dieu, vous a donné.
15 Ach má comhlíonadh daoibh gach gealltanas fónta a thug an Tiarna bhur nDia daoibh, comhlíonfaidh an Tiarna chomh maith gach urchóid atá á bagairt aige oraibh, go fiú sibh a scrios as an tír fhónta a thug an Tiarna bhur nDia daoibh.
15 Mas será, que como ha venido sobre vosotros toda palabra buena que Jehová vuestro Dios os había dicho, así también traerá Jehová sobre vosotros toda palabra mala, hasta destruiros de sobre la buena tierra que Jehová vuestro Dios os ha dado;
15 Gleichwie nun alles Gute gekommen ist, das der HERR, euer Gott, euch verheißen hat, also wird der HERR auch über euch kommen lassen alles Böse, bis er euch vertilge von diesem guten Land, das euch der HERR, euer Gott, gegeben hat,
16 If the agreement of the Lord your God, which was given to you by his orders, is broken, and you become the servants of other gods and give them worship, then the wrath of the Lord will be burning against you, and you will quickly be cut off from the good land which he has given you.
16 Si vous transgressez l'alliance que l'Éternel, votre Dieu, vous a prescrite, et si vous allez servir d'autres dieux et vous prosterner devant eux, la colère de l'Éternel s'enflammera contre vous, et vous périrez promptement dans le bon pays qu'il vous a donné.
16 Má bhriseann sibh an conradh a d'éiligh an Tiarna bhur nDia oraibh, agus dul agus fónamh do dhéithe eile agus sléachtadh dóibh, ansin déanfar fearg an Tiarna a adhaint in bhur gcoinne, agus scriosfar sibh go tapa de dhroim na tíre fónta a thug sé daoibh.”
16 Cuando traspasareis el pacto de Jehová vuestro Dios que él os ha mandado, yendo y honrando dioses ajenos, é inclinándoos á ellos. Y el furor de Jehová se inflamará contra vosotros, y luego pereceréis de aquesta buena tierra que él os ha dado.
16 wenn ihr übertretet den Bund des HERRN, eures Gottes, den er euch geboten hat, und hingeht und andern Göttern dient und sie anbetet, daß der Zorn des HERRN über euch ergrimmt und euch bald umbringt hinweg von dem guten Land, das er euch gegeben hat.
