1 Now Jabin, king of Hazor, hearing of these things, sent to Jobab, king of Madon, and to the king of Shimron, and to the king of Achshaph,
1 Jabin, roi de Hatsor, ayant appris ces choses, envoya des messagers à Jobab, roi de Madon, au roi de Schimron, au roi d'Acschaph,
1 Nuair a chuala Iáibín rí Házór na nithe sin chuir sé scéala fúthu go Ióbab rí Mhádón agus go rí Shimreon agus go rí Aicseáf,
1 Oyendo esto Jabín rey de Hasor, envió mensaje á Jobab rey de Madón, y al rey de Simrom, y al rey de Achsaph,
1 Da aber Jabin, der König zu Hazor, solches hörte, sandte er zu Jobab, dem König zu Madon, und zum König zu Simron und zum König zu Achsaph
2 And to the kings on the north in the hill-country, and in the Arabah south of Chinneroth, and in the lowland, and in the highlands of Dor on the west,
2 aux rois qui étaient au nord dans la montagne, dans la plaine au midi de Kinnéreth, dans la vallée, et sur les hauteurs de Dor à l'occident,
2 agus go dtí na ríthe sna hardáin thuaidh agus sa ghleann laisteas de Chinearót agus sna hísleáin agus sna leitreacha siar ó Dhór;
2 Y á los reyes que estaban á la parte del norte en las montañas, y en el llano al mediodía de Cinneroth, y en los llanos, y en las regiones de Dor al occidente;
2 und zu den Königen, die gegen Mitternacht auf dem Gebirge und auf dem Gefilde gegen Mittag von Kinneroth und in den Gründen und in Naphoth-Dor am Meer wohnten,
3 And to the Canaanites on the east and on the west, and to the Amorites and the Hittites and the Perizzites, and the Jebusites in the hill-country, and the Hivites under Hermon in the land of Mizpah.
3 aux Cananéens de l'orient et de l'occident, aux Amoréens, aux Héthiens, aux Phéréziens, aux Jébusiens dans la montagne, et aux Héviens au pied de l'Hermon dans le pays de Mitspa.
3 go dtí na Canánaigh thoir agus thiar, na hAmóraigh, na Hitigh, na Pirizigh, na Iabúsaigh sna sléibhte, agus na Hivigh faoi scáth Hearmón i Mizpeá.
3 Y al Cananeo que estaba al oriente y al occidente, y al Amorrheo, y al Hetheo, y al Pherezeo, y al Jebuseo en las montañas, y al Heveo debajo de Hermón en tierra de Mizpa.
3 zu den Kanaanitern gegen Morgen und Abend, Hethitern, Pheresitern und Jebusitern, auf dem Gebirge, dazu den Hevitern unten am Berge Hermon im Lande Mizpa.
4 And they went out, they and all their armies with them, a great people, in number like the sand on the seaside, with horses and war-carriages in great number.
4 Ils sortirent, eux et toutes leurs armées avec eux, formant un peuple innombrable comme le sable qui est sur le bord de la mer, et ayant des chevaux et des chars en très grande quantité.
4 Chuireadar chun bealaigh lena sluaite go léir, iad líonmhar mar ghaineamh na trá, le capaill agus carbaid gan áireamh.
4 Estos salieron, y con ellos todos sus ejércitos, pueblo mucho en gran manera, como la arena que está á la orilla del mar, con gran muchedumbre de caballos y carros.
4 Diese zogen aus mit allem ihrem Heer, ein großes Volk, so viel als des Sandes am Meer, und sehr viel Rosse und Wagen.
5 And all these kings came together, and put their forces in position at the waters of Merom, to make war on Israel.
5 Tous ces rois fixèrent un lieu de réunion, et vinrent camper ensemble près des eaux de Mérom, pour combattre contre Israël.
5 Tháinig na ríthe seo go láthair choinne agus chomhdhála agus shuíodar a gcampaí le hais a chéile ag uiscí Mhaeróm chun troid in aghaidh Iosrael.
5 Todos estos reyes se juntaron, y viniendo reunieron los campos junto á las aguas de Merom, para pelear contra Israel.
5 Alle diese Könige versammelten sich und kamen und lagerten sich zuhauf an das Wasser Merom, zu streiten mit Israel.
6 And the Lord said to Joshua, Have no fear of them: for tomorrow at this time I will give them all up dead before Israel; you are to have the leg-muscles of their horses cut and their war-carriages burned with fire.
6 L'Éternel dit à Josué: Ne les crains point, car demain, à ce moment-ci, je les livrerai tous frappés devant Israël. Tu couperas les jarrets à leurs chevaux, et tu brûleras au feu leurs chars.
6 Dúirt an Tiarna le Iósua: “Ná bíodh aon eagla ort rompu siúd, mar an taca seo amárach fágfaidh mé iad go léir treascartha os comhair a súl ag Iosrael; déan speireacha a n‑each a ghearradh agus tine a chur lena gcarbaid.”
6 Mas Jehová dijo á Josué: No tengas temor de ellos, que mañana á esta hora yo entregaré á todos éstos, muertos delante de Israel: á sus caballos desjarretarás, y sus carros quemarás al fuego.
6 Und der HERR sprach zu Josua: Fürchte dich nicht vor ihnen! denn morgen um diese Zeit will ich sie alle erschlagen geben vor den Kindern Israel; ihre Rosse sollst du Lähmen und ihre Wagen mit Feuer verbrennen.
7 So Joshua and all the men of war with him came against them suddenly at the waters of Merom, and made an attack on them.
7 Josué, avec tous ses gens de guerre, arriva subitement sur eux près des eaux de Mérom, et ils se précipitèrent au milieu d'eux.
7 Tháinig Iósua agus a ghaiscígh go léir gan choinne orthu ag uiscí Mhaeróm, agus thugadar fúthu.
7 Y vino Josué, y con él todo el pueblo de guerra, contra ellos, y dió de repente sobre ellos junto á las aguas de Merom.
7 Und Josua kam plötzlich über sie und alles Kriegsvolk mit ihm am Wasser Merom, und überfielen sie.
8 And the Lord gave them up into the hands of Israel, and they overcame them driving them back to great Zidon and to Misrephoth-maim and into the valley of Mizpeh to the east; and they put them all to death, no man got away safely.
8 L'Éternel les livra entre les mains d'Israël; ils les battirent et les poursuivirent jusqu'à Sidon la grande, jusqu'à Misrephoth Maïm, et jusqu'à la vallée de Mitspa vers l'orient; ils les battirent, sans en laisser échapper aucun.
8 Thug an Tiarna ar láimh d'Iosrael iad; bhriseadar orthu agus chuadar sa tóir orthu siar chomh fada le Síodón Mhór agus Misreafot Maím agus soir chomh fada le Gleann Mhizpeá. Bhíodar á bpleancadh go dtí nár fágadh fear inste scéil díobh.
8 Y entrególos Jehová en manos de Israel, los cuales los hirieron y siguieron hasta Sidón la grande, y hasta las aguas calientes, y hasta el llano de Mizpa al oriente, hiriéndolos hasta que no les dejaron ninguno.
8 Und der HERR gab sie in die Hände Israels, und schlugen sie und jagten sie bis gen Groß-Sidon und bis an die warmen Wasser und bis an die Ebene Mizpa gegen Morgen und schlugen sie, bis daß niemand unter ihnen übrigblieb.
9 And Joshua did to them as the Lord had said to him; he had the leg-muscles of their horses cut and their war-carriages burned with fire.
9 Josué les traita comme l'Éternel lui avait dit; il coupa les jarrets à leurs chevaux, et il brûla leurs chars au feu.
9 Rinne Iósua leo mar a d'ordaigh an Tiarna; ghearr sé speireacha a n‑each agus dhóigh sé a gcarbaid.
9 Y Josué hizo con ellos como Jehová le había mandado: desjarretó sus caballos, y sus carros quemó al fuego.
9 Da tat ihnen Josua, wie der HERR ihm gesagt hatte, und lähmte ihre Rosse und verbrannte ihre Wagen
10 At that time, Joshua went on to take Hazor and put its king to the sword: for in earlier times Hazor was the chief of all those kingdoms.
10 A son retour, et dans le même temps, Josué prit Hatsor, et frappa son roi avec l'épée: Hatsor était autrefois la principale ville de tous ces royaumes.
10 D'fhill Iósua ansin agus ghabh sé Házór agus d'imir faobhar claímh ar a rí. Bhí ceannas ag Házór ar na ríochtaí sin go léir tráth.
10 Y tornándose Josué, tomó en el mismo tiempo á Hasor, é hirió á cuchillo á su rey: la cual Hasor había sido antes cabeza de todos estos reinos.
10 und kehrte um zu derselben Zeit und gewann Hazor und schlug seinen König mit dem Schwert; denn Hazor war vormals die Hauptstadt aller dieser Königreiche.
11 And they put every person in it to death without mercy, giving every living thing up to the curse, and burning Hazor.
11 On frappa du tranchant de l'épée et l'on dévoua par interdit tous ceux qui s'y trouvaient, il ne resta rien de ce qui respirait, et l'on mit le feu à Hatsor.
11 Chuireadar chun báis de rinn claímh gach dúil bheo inti, agus iad faoin mbang. Níor fágadh duine inti le hanáil na beatha ann agus ansin loisc sé Házór.
11 E hirieron á cuchillo todo cuanto en ella había vivo, destruyendo y no dejando cosa con vida; y á Asor pusieron á fuego.
11 Und sie schlugen alle Seelen, die darin waren, mit der Schärfe des Schwerts und verbannten sie, und er ließ nichts übrigbleiben, das Odem hatte, und verbrannte Hazor mit Feuer.
12 And all the towns of these kings, and all the kings, Joshua took, and put them to the sword: he gave them up to the curse, as Moses, the servant of the Lord, had said.
12 Josué prit aussi toutes les villes de ces rois et tous leurs rois, et il les frappa du tranchant de l'épée, et il les dévoua par interdit, comme l'avait ordonné Moïse, serviteur de l'Éternel.
12 Ghabh Iósua cathracha na ríthe sin go léir agus a ríthe go léir; d'imir sé faobhar claímh orthu agus iad curtha faoin mbang, faoi mar a d'ordaigh Maois óglach an Tiarna.
12 Asimismo tomó Josué todas las ciudades de aquestos reyes, y á todos los reyes de ellas, y los metió á cuchillo, y los destruyó, como Moisés siervo de Jehová lo había mandado.
12 Dazu gewann Josua alle Städte dieser Könige mit ihren Königen und schlug sie mit der Schärfe des Schwerts und verbannte sie, wie Mose, der Knecht des HERRN, geboten hatte.
13 As for the towns made on hills of earth, not one was burned by Israel but Hazor, which was burned by Joshua.
13 Mais Israël ne brûla aucune des villes situées sur des collines, à l'exception seulement de Hatsor, qui fut brûlée par Josué.
13 Níor loisc Iosrael aon chathair díobh siúd go léir ar a dtulaigh, seachas Házór amháin a chuir Iósua trí thine.
13 Empero todas las ciudades que estaban en sus cabezos, no las quemó Israel, sacando á sola Asor, la cual quemó Josué.
13 Doch verbrannten die Kinder Israel keine Städte, die auf Hügeln standen, sondern Hazor allein verbrannte Josua.
14 And all the goods taken from these towns, and their cattle, the children of Israel kept for themselves; but every man they put to death without mercy, till their destruction was complete, and there was no one living.
14 Les enfants d'Israël gardèrent pour eux tout le butin de ces villes et le bétail; mais ils frappèrent du tranchant de l'épée tous les hommes, jusqu'à ce qu'ils les eussent détruits, sans rien laisser de ce qui respirait.
14 Thug muintir Iosrael leo mar chreach éadáil agus eallach na gcathracha sin; d'imríodar faobhar claímh ar gach daonnaí, agus scriosadar iad go léir; níor fhágadar fiú duine agus anáil na beatha ann.
14 Y los hijos de Israel tomaron para sí todos los despojos y bestias de aquestas ciudades: pero á todos los hombres metieron á cuchillo hasta destruirlos, sin dejar alguno con vida.
14 Und allen Raub dieser Städte und das Vieh teilten die Kinder Israel unter sich; aber alle Menschen schlugen sie mit der Schärfe des Schwerts, bis sie die vertilgten, und ließen nichts übrigbleiben, das Odem hatte.
15 As the Lord had given orders to Moses his servant, so Moses gave orders to Joshua, and so Joshua did; every order which the Lord had given to Moses was done.
15 Josué exécuta les ordres de l'Éternel à Moïse, son serviteur, et de Moïse à Josué; il ne négligea rien de tout ce que l'Éternel avait ordonné à Moïse.
15 Gach ar ordaigh an Tiarna do Mhaois a óglach, thug seisean mar ordú do Iósua, agus chuir Iósua i gcrích é, gan faillí a dhéanamh ar aon ní dár ordaigh an Tiarna do Mhaois.
15 De la manera que Jehová lo había mandado á Moisés su siervo, así Moisés lo mandó á Josué: y así Josué lo hizo, sin quitar palabra de todo lo que Jehová había mandado á Moisés.
15 Wie der HERR dem Mose, seinem Knecht, und Mose Josua geboten hatte, so tat Josua, daß nichts fehlte an allem, was der HERR dem Mose geboten hatte.
16 So Joshua took all that land, the hill-country and all the South, and all the land of Goshen, and the lowland and the Arabah, the hill-country of Israel and its lowland;
16 C'est ainsi que Josué s'empara de tout ce pays, de la montagne, de tout le midi, de tout le pays de Gosen, de la vallée, de la plaine, de la montagne d'Israël et de ses vallées,
16 Fuair Iósua seilbh ar an tír sin go léir, na hardáin, an Neigib go léir, agus fearann uile Ghoisin, na hísleáin, an tArabá, ardáin agus ísleáin Iosrael.
16 Tomó pues Josué toda aquella tierra, las montañas, y toda la región del mediodía, y toda la tierra de Gosén, y los bajos y los llanos, y la montaña de Israel y sus valles.
16 Also nahm Josua alles dies Land ein, das Gebirge und alles, was gegen Mittag liegt, und das Land Gosen und die Gründe und das Gefilde und das Gebirge Israel mit seinen Gründen,
17 From Mount Halak, which goes up to Seir, as far as Baal-gad in the valley of Lebanon under Mount Hermon: and all their kings he overcame and put to death.
17 depuis la montagne nue qui s'élève vers Séir jusqu'à Baal Gad, dans la vallée du Liban, au pied de la montagne d'Hermon. Il prit tous leurs rois, les frappa et les fit mourir.
17 Ó Shliabh Hálác a éiríonn i dtreo Shaeír chomh fada le Bál Gád in nGleann na Liobáine faoi scáth Hearmón, ghabh sé na ríthe go léir, threascair iad agus bhásaigh iad.
17 Desde el monte de Halac, que sube hasta Seir, hasta Baal-gad en la llanura del Líbano, á las raíces del monte Hermón: tomó asimismo todos sus reyes, los cuales hirió y mató.
17 von dem kahlen Gebirge an, das aufsteigt gen Seir, bis gen Baal-Gad in der Ebene beim Berge Libanon, unten am Berge Hermon. Alle ihre Könige gewann er und schlug sie und tötete sie.
18 For a long time Joshua made war on all those kings.
18 La guerre que soutint Josué contre tous ces rois fut de longue durée.
18 Chuir Iósua cogadh ar na ríthe sin go léir ar feadh i bhfad.
18 Por muchos días tuvo guerra Josué con estos reyes.
18 Er stritt aber eine lange Zeit mit diesen Königen.
19 Not one town made peace with the children of Israel, but only the Hivites of Gibeon: they took them all in war.
19 Il n'y eut aucune ville qui fit la paix avec les enfants d'Israël, excepté Gabaon, habitée par les Héviens; ils les prirent toutes en combattant.
19 Ní dhearna cathair síocháin le clann Iosrael ach na Hivigh a mhair i nGibeón; i gcath a fuaireadar an lámh uachtair ar an gcuid eile go léir.
19 No hubo ciudad que hiciese paz con los hijos de Israel, sacados los Heveos, que moraban en Gabaón: todo lo tomaron por guerra.
19 Es war aber keine Stadt, die sich mit Frieden ergab den Kindern Israel, ausgenommen die Heviter, die zu Gibeon wohnten; sondern sie gewannen sie alle im Streit.
20 For the Lord made them strong in heart to go to war against Israel, so that he might give them up to the curse without mercy, and that destruction might come on them, as the Lord had given orders to Moses.
20 Car l'Éternel permit que ces peuples s'obstinassent à faire la guerre contre Israël, afin qu'Israël les dévouât par interdit, sans qu'il y eût pour eux de miséricorde, et qu'il les détruisît, comme l'Éternel l'avait ordonné à Moïse.
20 Ba é deonú an Tiarna a gcroíthe a chruadh chun go rachaidís chun catha in aghaidh Iosrael d'fhonn go gcuirfí gan taise faoin mbang iad agus go scriosfaí iad mar a d'ordaigh an Tiarna do Mhaois.
20 Porque esto vino de Jehová, que endurecía el corazón de ellos para que resistiesen con guerra á Israel, para destruirlos, y que no les fuese hecha misericordia, antes fuesen desarraigados, como Jehová lo había mandado á Moisés.
20 Und das alles geschah also von dem HERRN, daß ihr Herz verstockt würde, mit Streit zu begegnen den Kindern Israel, auf daß sie verbannt würden und ihnen keine Gnade widerführe, sondern vertilgt würden, wie der HERR dem Mose geboten hatte.
21 And Joshua came at that time and put an end to the Anakim in the hill-country, in Hebron, in Debir, in Anab, and in all the hill-country of Judah and Israel: Joshua gave them and their towns to the curse.
21 Dans le même temps, Josué se mit en marche, et il extermina les Anakim de la montagne d'Hébron, de Debir, d'Anab, de toute la montagne de Juda et de toute la montagne d'Israël; Josué les dévoua par interdit, avec leurs villes.
21 Ansin tháinig Iósua agus scrios sé na hAnácaím ó na hardáin, ó Heabrón, ó Dheibír, ó Anáb, ó ardáin Iúdá go léir agus ó ardáin Iosrael go léir; chuir sé iad féin agus a gcathracha faoin mbang.
21 También en el mismo tiempo vino Josué y destruyó los Anaceos de los montes, de Hebrón, de Debir, y de Anab, y de todos los montes de Judá, y de todos los montes de Israel: Josué los destruyó á ellos y á sus ciudades.
21 Zu der Zeit kam Josua und rottete aus die Enakiter von dem Gebirge, von Hebron, von Debir, von Anab und von allem Gebirge Juda und von allem Gebirge Israel und verbannte sie mit ihren Städten
22 Not one of the Anakim was to be seen in the land of the children of Israel: only in Gaza, in Gath, and in Ashdod, some were still living.
22 Il ne resta point d'Anakim dans le pays des enfants d'Israël; il n'en resta qu'à Gaza, à Gath et à Asdod.
22 Níor fágadh aon Anácaím i bhfearainn chlann Iosrael ach ag Gazá, Gat, agus Aisdeod.
22 Ninguno de los Anaceos quedó en la tierra de los hijos de Israel; solamente quedaron en Gaza, en Gath, y en Asdod.
22 und ließ keine Enakiter übrigbleiben im Lande der Kinder Israel; außer zu Gaza, zu Gath, zu Asdod, da blieben ihrer übrig.
23 So Joshua took all the land, as the Lord had said to Moses; and Joshua gave it to the children of Israel as their heritage, making division of it among them by their tribes. And the land had rest from war.
23 Josué s'empara donc de tout le pays, selon tout ce que l'Éternel avait dit à Moïse. Et Josué le donna en héritage à Israël, à chacun sa portion, d'après leurs tribus. Puis, le pays fut en repos et sans guerre.
23 Fuair Iósua seilbh ar an tír ar fad, faoi mar a dúirt an Tiarna le Maois, agus thug sé é d'Iosrael mar oidhreacht de réir mar a bhíodar roinnte ina dtreibheanna. Agus bhí sos ó chogadh ag an tír.
23 Tomó, pues, Josué toda la tierra, conforme á todo lo que Jehová había dicho á Moisés; y entrególa Josué á los Israelitas por herencia, conforme á sus repartimientos de sus tribus: y la tierra reposó de guerra.
23 Also nahm Josua alles Land ein, allerdinge wie der HERR zu Mose geredet hatte, und gab es Israel zum Erbe, einem jeglichen Stamm seinen Teil. Und der Krieg hörte auf im Lande.
