1 And Moses sent for all Israel, and said to them, Give ear, O Israel, to the laws and the decisions which I give you today, and give attention to them so that you may keep and do them.
1 Moïse convoqua tout Israël, et leur dit: Écoute, Israël, les lois et les ordonnances que je vous fais entendre aujourd'hui. Apprenez-les, et mettez-les soigneusement en pratique.

1 Y Llamo Moisés á todo Israel, y díjoles: Oye, Israel, los estatutos y derechos que yo pronuncio hoy en vuestros oídos: y aprendedlos, y guardadlos, para ponerlos por obra.
1 Und Mose rief das ganze Israel und sprach zu ihnen: Höre, Israel, die Gebote und Rechte, die ich heute vor euren Ohren rede, und lernt sie und behaltet sie, daß ihr darnach tut!
2 The Lord our God made an agreement with us in Horeb.
2 L'Éternel, notre Dieu, a traité avec nous une alliance à Horeb.
2 Rinne an Tiarna ár nDia conradh linn ar Shliabh Horaeb.
2 Jehová nuestro Dios hizo pacto con nosotros en Horeb.
2 Der HERR, unser Gott, hat einen Bund mit uns gemacht am Horeb
3 The Lord did not make this agreement with our fathers but with us, who are all living and present here today.
3 Ce n'est point avec nos pères que l'Éternel a traité cette alliance; c'est avec nous, qui sommes ici aujourd'hui, tous vivants.
3 Ní lenár n‑aithreacha a rinne an Tiarna an conradh seo, ach linne, sinne atá anseo beo gach duine againn anseo inniu.
3 No con nuestros padres hizo Jehová este pacto, sino con nosotros todos los que estamos aquí hoy vivos.
3 und hat nicht mit unsern Vätern diesen Bund gemacht, sondern mit uns, die wir hier sind heutigestages und alle leben.
4 The word of the Lord came to you face to face on the mountain, out of the heart of the fire,
4 L'Éternel vous parla face à face sur la montagne, du milieu du feu.
4 Labhair an Tiarna gnúis le gnúis libh ar an sliabh ó chroí na tine,
4 Cara á cara habló Jehová con vosotros en el monte de en medio del fuego,
4 Er hat von Angesicht zu Angesicht mit euch aus dem Feuer auf dem Berge geredet.
5 (I was between the Lord and you at that time, to make clear to you the word of the Lord: because, through fear of the fire, you did not go up the mountain;) saying,
5 Je me tins alors entre l'Éternel et vous, pour vous annoncer la parole de l'Éternel; car vous aviez peur du feu, et vous ne montâtes point sur la montagne. Il dit:
5 agus sheas mise lena linn sin ar fad idir an Tiarna agus sibhse chun briathar an Tiarna a fhógairt daoibh, óir bhí eagla na tine oraibh, agus ní dheachaigh sibh suas faoin sliabh. Dúirt sé:
5 (Yo estaba entonces entre Jehová y vosotros, para denunciaros la palabra de Jehová; porque vosotros tuvisteis temor del fuego, y no subisteis al monte;) diciendo:
5 Ich stand zu derselben Zeit zwischen dem HERRN und euch, daß ich euch ansagte des HERRN Wort; denn ihr fürchtetet euch vor dem Feuer und ginget nicht auf den Berg. Und er sprach:
6 I am the Lord your God, who took you out of the land of Egypt, out of the prison-house.
6 Je suis l'Éternel, ton Dieu, qui t'ai fait sortir du pays d'Égypte, de la maison de servitude.
6 ‘Mise an Tiarna do Dhia a thug amach as tír na hÉigipte thú agus as teach na daoirse.
6 Yo soy Jehová tu Dios, que te saqué de tierra de Egipto, de casa de siervos.

7 You are to have no other gods but me.

7 Du sollst keine andern Götter haben vor mir.
8 You may not make for yourselves an image in the form of anything in heaven or on earth or in the waters under the earth:
8 Tu ne te feras point d'image taillée, de représentation quelconque des choses qui sont en haut dans les cieux, qui sont en bas sur la terre, et qui sont dans les eaux plus bas que la terre.
8 Ná déan duit féin aon íomhá ghreanta, ná cosúlacht aon ní dá bhfuil ar neamh thuas, ná ar talamh thíos, ná sna huiscí atá faoin talamh.
8 No harás para ti escultura, ni imagen alguna de cosa que está arriba en los cielos, ó abajo en la tierra, ó en las aguas debajo de la tierra:
8 Du sollst dir kein Bildnis machen, keinerlei Gleichnis, weder des, das oben im Himmel, noch des, das unten auf Erden, noch des, das im Wasser unter der Erde ist.
9 You may not go down on your faces before them or give them worship: for I, the Lord your God, am a God who will not give his honour to another; and I will send punishment on the children for the wrongdoing of their fathers, to the third and fourth generation of my haters;
9 Tu ne te prosterneras point devant elles, et tu ne les serviras point; car moi, l'Éternel, ton Dieu, je suis un Dieu jaloux, qui punis l'iniquité des pères sur les enfants jusqu'à la troisième et à la quatrième génération de ceux qui me haïssent,
9 Ná sléacht rompu agus ná déan iad a adhradh. Óir is Dia éadmhar mise, an Tiarna do Dhia, agus déanaim coir an athar a agairt ar an gclann mhac, agus ar chlann a chlainne go dtí an ceathrú glúin díobh siúd ar fuath leo mé,
9 No te inclinarás á ellas ni les servirás: porque yo soy Jehová tu Dios, fuerte, celoso, que visito la iniquidad de los padres sobre los hijos, y sobre los terceros, y sobre los cuartos, á los que me aborrecen,
9 Du sollst sie nicht anbeten noch ihnen dienen. Denn ich bin der HERR, dein Gott, bin ein eifriger Gott, der die Missetat der Väter heimsucht über die Kinder ins dritte und vierte Glied, die mich hassen;
10 And I will have mercy through a thousand generations on those who have love for me and keep my laws.
10 et qui fais miséricorde jusqu'en mille générations à ceux qui m'aiment et qui gardent mes commandements.
10 ach déanaim cineáltas buan leis na mílte díobh siúd a thugann grá dom agus a choimeádann m'aitheanta.
10 Y que hago misericordia á millares á los que me aman, y guardan mis mandamientos.
10 und Barmherzigkeit erzeige in viel tausend, die mich lieben und meine Gebote halten.
11 You are not to make use of the name of the Lord your God for an evil purpose; whoever takes the Lord's name on his lips for an evil purpose will be judged as a sinner by the Lord.
11 Tu ne prendras point le nom de l'Éternel, ton Dieu, en vain; car l'Éternel ne laissera point impuni celui qui prendra son nom en vain.
11 Ná luaigh ainm Dé le mí-úsáid a bhaint as. Óir an té a luafaidh ainm an Tiarna le mí-úsaid a bhaint as, ní fhágfaidh an Tiarna gan phionós é.
11 No tomarás en vano el nombre de Jehová tu Dios; porque Jehová no dará por inocente al que tomare en vano su nombre.
11 Du sollst den Namen des HERRN, deines Gottes, nicht mißbrauchen; denn der HERR wird den nicht ungestraft lassen, der seinen Namen mißbraucht.
12 Keep the Sabbath day as a holy day, as you have been ordered by the Lord your God.
12 Observe le jour du repos, pour le sanctifier, comme l'Éternel, ton Dieu, te l'a ordonné.
12 Coimeád an tsabóid agus naomhaigh í, mar a d'ordaigh an Tiarna do Dhia duit.
12 Guardarás el día del reposo para santificarlo, como Jehová tu Dios te ha mandado.
12 Den Sabbattag sollst du halten, daß du ihn heiligest, wie dir der HERR, dein Gott, geboten hat.
13 On six days do all your work:
13 Tu travailleras six jours, et tu feras tout ton ouvrage.
13 Caithfidh tú sé lá ag obair agus ag déanamh do shaothair go léir,
13 Seis días trabajarás y harás toda tu obra:
13 Sechs Tage sollst du arbeiten und alle deine Werke tun.
14 But the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God; on that day do no work, you or your son or your daughter, or your man-servant or your woman-servant, or your ox or your ass or any of your cattle, or the man from a strange country who is living among you; so that your man-servant and your woman-servant may have rest as well as you.
14 Mais le septième jour est le jour du repos de l'Éternel, ton Dieu: tu ne feras aucun ouvrage, ni toi, ni ton fils, ni ta fille, ni ton serviteur, ni ta servante, ni ton boeuf, ni ton âne, ni aucune de tes bêtes, ni l'étranger qui est dans tes portes, afin que ton serviteur et ta servante se reposent comme toi.
14 ach an seachtú lá, is sabóid é don Tiarna do Dhia. 14 Mas el séptimo es reposo á Jehová tu Dios: ninguna obra harás tú, ni tu hijo, ni tu hija, ni tu siervo, ni tu sierva, ni tu buey, ni tu asno, ni ningún animal tuyo, ni tu peregrino que está dentro de tus puertas: porque descanse tu siervo y tu sierva como tú.
14 Aber am siebenten Tage ist der Sabbat des HERRN, deines Gottes. Da sollst du keine Arbeit tun noch dein Sohn noch deine Tochter noch dein Knecht noch deine Magd noch dein Ochse noch dein Esel noch all dein Vieh noch dein Fremdling, der in deinen Toren ist, auf daß dein Knecht und deine Magd ruhe wie du.
15 And keep in mind that you were a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the Lord your God took you out of that land by his strong hand and his stretched-out arm: for this reason the Lord has given you orders to keep the Sabbath day.
15 Tu te souviendras que tu as été esclave au pays d'Égypte, et que l'Éternel, ton Dieu, t'en a fait sortir à main forte et à bras étendu: c'est pourquoi l'Éternel, ton Dieu, t'a ordonné d'observer le jour du repos.
15 Cuimhnigh go raibh tú féin i do sheirbhíseach i dtír na hÉigipte agus go dtug an Tiarna do Dhia amach as siúd thú le láimh láidir agus le géag ar tinneall; uime sin d'aithin an Tiarna do Dhia duit an tsabóid a choimeád.
15 Y acuérdate que fuiste siervo en tierra de Egipto, y que Jehová tu Dios te sacó de allá con mano fuerte y brazo extendido: por lo cual Jehová tu Dios te ha mandado que guardes el día del reposo.
15 Denn du sollst gedenken, daß du auch Knecht in Ägyptenland warst und der HERR, dein Gott, dich von dort ausgeführt hat mit einer mächtigen Hand und mit ausgerecktem Arm. Darum hat dir der HERR, dein Gott, geboten, daß du den Sabbattag halten sollst.
16 Give honour to your father and your mother, as you have been ordered by the Lord your God; so that your life may be long and all may be well for you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you.
16 Honore ton père et ta mère, comme l'Éternel, ton Dieu, te l'a ordonné, afin que tes jours se prolongent et que tu sois heureux dans le pays que l'Éternel, ton Dieu, te donne.
16 Tabhair do d'athair agus do do mháthair onóir mar a d'aithin an Tiarna do Dhia duit i dtreo go mba fhada iad do laethe agus go mbeadh an rath ort sa tír a thugann an Tiarna do Dhia duit.
16 Honra á tu padre y á tu madre, como Jehová tu Dios te ha mandado, para que sean prolongados tus días, y para que te vaya bien sobre la tierra que Jehová tu Dios te da.
16 Du sollst deinen Vater und deine Mutter ehren, wie dir der HERR, dein Gott, geboten hat, auf daß du lange lebest und daß dir's wohl gehe in dem Lande, das dir der HERR, dein Gott, geben wird.
17 Do not put anyone to death without cause.
17 Tu ne tueras point.
17 Ná déan marú.

17 Du sollst nicht töten.
18 Do not be false to the married relation.
18 Tu ne commettras point d'adultère.
18 Ná déan adhaltranas.
18 No adulterarás.

19 Do not take the property of another.

19 No hurtarás.
19 Du sollst nicht stehlen.
20 Do not give false witness against your neighbour;
20 Tu ne porteras point de faux témoignage contre ton prochain.

20 No dirás falso testimonio contra tu prójimo.
20 Du sollst kein falsch Zeugnis reden wider deinen Nächsten.
21 Or let your desire be turned to your neighbour's wife, or his house or his field or his man-servant or his woman-servant or his ox or his ass or anything which is your neighbour's.
21 Tu ne convoiteras point la femme de ton prochain; tu ne désireras point la maison de ton prochain, ni son champ, ni son serviteur, ni sa servante, ni son boeuf, ni son âne, ni aucune chose qui appartienne à ton prochain.
21 Ná santaigh bean do chomharsan; ná bí ag tnúth lena theach ná lena ghort, lena dhaor ná lena dhaoirseach, lena dhamh ná lena asal, ná le haon ní dá chuid.’
21 No codiciarás la mujer de tu prójimo, ni desearás la casa de tu prójimo, ni su tierra, ni su siervo, ni su sierva, ni su buey, ni su asno, ni ninguna cosa que sea de tu prójimo.
21 Laß dich nicht gelüsten deines Nächsten Weibes. Du sollst nicht begehren deines Nächsten Haus, Acker, Knecht, Magd, Ochsen, Esel noch alles, was sein ist.
22 These words the Lord said to all of you together on the mountain, out of the heart of the fire, out of the cloud and the dark, with a great voice: and he said no more; he put them in writing on the two stones of the law and gave them to me.
22 Telles sont les paroles que prononça l'Éternel à haute voix sur la montagne, du milieu du feu, des nuées et de l'obscurité, et qu'il adressa à toute votre assemblée, sans rien ajouter. Il les écrivit sur deux tables de pierre, qu'il me donna.
22 “Sin iad na briathra a labhair an Tiarna libh go léir i gcomhthionól ag an sliabh; labhair sé libh de ghlór ard ó lar na tine, an néil, agus an dorchadais thiubh. Níor chuir sé aon rud eile leo, ach iad a scríobh síos ar dhá chlár chloiche agus thug dom iad. Maois an tIdirghabhálaí
22 Estas palabras habló Jehová á toda vuestra congregación en el monte, de en medio del fuego, de la nube y de la oscuridad, á gran voz: y no añadió más. Y escribiólas en dos tablas de piedra, las cuales me dió á mí.
22 Das sind die Worte, die der HERR redete zu eurer ganzen Gemeinde auf dem Berge, aus dem Feuer und der Wolke und dem Dunkel, mit großer Stimme, und tat nichts dazu und schrieb sie auf zwei steinerne Tafeln und gab sie mir.
23 And after hearing the voice which came out of the dark while the mountain was burning with fire, all the heads of your tribes and your chiefs came to me,
23 Lorsque vous eûtes entendu la voix du milieu des ténèbres, et tandis que la montagne était tout en feu, vos chefs de tribus et vos anciens s'approchèrent tous de moi,
23 “Nuair a chuala sibh an glór seo ag teacht as an dorchadas, agus an sliabh go léir trí thine, tháinig sibh chugam, ceannairí bhur dtreibheanna agus bhur seanóirí,
23 Y aconteció, que como vosotros oisteis la voz de en medio de las tinieblas, y visteis al monte que ardía en fuego, llegasteis á mí todos los príncipes de vuestras tribus, y vuestros ancianos;
23 Da ihr aber die Stimme aus der Finsternis hörtet und den Berg mit Feuer brennen saht, tratet ihr zu mir, alle Obersten unter euren Stämmen und eure Ältesten,
24 And said, The Lord has let us see his glory and his power, and his voice has come to us out of the fire: today we have seen that a man may go on living even after hearing the voice of God.
24 et vous dîtes: Voici, l'Éternel, notre Dieu, nous a montré sa gloire et sa grandeur, et nous avons entendu sa voix du milieu du feu; aujourd'hui, nous avons vu que Dieu a parlé à des hommes, et qu'ils sont demeurés vivants.
24 agus dúirt sibh: ‘Féach, thaispeáin an Tiarna ár nDia a ghlóir dúinn agus a mhórgacht agus chualamar a ghlór ó chroí na tine. Chonaiceamar inniu gur féidir do Dhia, labhairt leis an duine, agus an duine a fhanacht beo.
24 Y dijisteis: He aquí, Jehová nuestro Dios nos ha mostrado su gloria y su grandeza, y hemos oído su voz de en medio del fuego: hoy hemos visto que Jehová habla al hombre, y éste vive.
24 und spracht: Siehe, der HERR, unser Gott, hat uns lassen sehen sein Herrlichkeit und seine Majestät; und wir haben sein Stimme aus dem Feuer gehört. Heutigestages haben wir gesehen, daß Gott mit Menschen redet, und sie lebendig bleiben.
25 Why then is death to be our fate? For if the voice of the Lord our God comes to us any more, death will overtake us, and we will be burned up in this great fire.
25 Et maintenant pourquoi mourrions-nous? car ce grand feu nous dévorera; si nous continuons à entendre la voix de l'Éternel, notre Dieu, nous mourrons.
25 Cén fáth go bhfaighimis bás anois? Óir loiscfidh an tine mhór seo sinn; má chloisimid glór an Tiarna ár nDia an dara huair ní baol ná go dtitfidh an t‑anam asainn.
25 Ahora pues, ¿por qué moriremos? que este gran fuego nos consumirá: si tornáremos á oir la voz de Jehová nuestro Dios, moriremos.
25 Und nun, warum sollen wir sterben, daß uns dies große Feuer verzehre? Wenn wir des HERRN, unsers Gottes, Stimme weiter hören, so müssen wir sterben.
26 For what man is there in all the earth, who, hearing the voice of the living God as we have, out of the heart of the fire, has been kept from death?
26 Quel est l'homme, en effet, qui ait jamais entendu, comme nous, la voix du Dieu vivant parlant du milieu du feu, et qui soit demeuré vivant?
26 Óir cén duine daonna den uile fheoil a chloisfeadh glor Dé bheo ag labhairt ó chroí na tine mar a rinneamar, agus a d'fhéadfadh fanacht beo?
26 Porque, ¿qué es toda carne, para que oiga la voz del Dios viviente que habla de en medio del fuego, como nosotros la oímos, y viva?
26 Denn was ist alles Fleisch, daß es hören möge die Stimme des lebendigen Gottes aus dem Feuer reden wie wir, und lebendig bleibe?
27 Do you go near: and after hearing everything which the Lord our God has to say, give us an account of all he has said to you, and we will give ear, and do it.
27 Approche, toi, et écoute tout ce que dira l'Éternel, notre Dieu; tu nous rapporteras toi-même tout ce que te dira l'Éternel, notre Dieu; nous l'écouterons, et nous le ferons.
27 Druidse leis, dá bhrí sin, agus éist lena bhfuil le rá ag an Tiarna ár nDia, agus inis dúinne gach a ndéarfaidh an Tiarna ár nDia leat; éistfimid leis agus déanfaimid dá réir.’
27 Llega tú, y oye todas las cosas que dijere Jehová nuestro Dios; y tú nos dirás todo lo que Jehová nuestro Dios te dijere, y nosotros oiremos y haremos.
27 Tritt nun hinzu und höre alles, was der HERR, unser Gott, sagt, und sage es uns. Alles, was der HERR, unser Gott, mit dir reden wird, das wollen wir hören und tun.
28 Then the Lord, hearing your words to me, said to me, The words which this people have said to you have come to my ears: what they have said is well said.
28 L'Éternel entendit les paroles que vous m'adressâtes. Et l'Éternel me dit: J'ai entendu les paroles que ce peuple t'a adressées: tout ce qu'ils ont dit est bien.
28 Chuala an Tiarna a ndúirt sibh liom, agus dúirt liom: ‘Chuala mé caint uile an phobail seo leat; is maith mar a dúradar gach a bhfuil ráite acu.
28 Y oyó Jehová la voz de vuestras palabras, cuando me hablabais; y díjome Jehová: He oído la voz de las palabras de este pueblo, que ellos te han hablado: bien está todo lo que han dicho.
28 Da aber der HERR eure Worte hörte, die ihr mit mir redetet, sprach er zu mir: Ich habe gehört die Worte dieses Volks, die sie dir geredet haben; es ist alles gut, was sie geredet haben.
29 If only they had such a heart in them at all times, so that they might go in fear of me and keep my orders and that it might be well for them and for their children for ever!
29 Oh! s'ils avaient toujours ce même coeur pour me craindre et pour observer tous mes commandements, afin qu'ils fussent heureux à jamais, eux et leurs enfants!
29 Uch gan a gcroí a bheith mar sin i gcónaí, socair ar m'eaglasa agus ar m'aitheanta a choimeád, i dtreo go mbeadh an rath orthu féin agus ar a gclann go brach!
29 ¡Quién diera que tuviesen tal corazón, que me temiesen, y guardasen todos los días todos mis mandamientos, para que á ellos y á sus hijos les fuese bien para siempre!
29 Ach daß sie ein solch Herz hätten, mich zu fürchten, und zu halten alle meine Gebote ihr Leben lang, auf daß es ihnen wohl ginge und ihren Kindern ewiglich!
30 Now say to them, Go back to your tents.
30 Va, dis-leur: Retournez dans vos tentes.
30 Imigh leat agus abair leo: Filligí ar bhur mbothanna.
30 Ve, diles: Volveos á vuestras tiendas.
30 Gehe hin und sage ihnen: Gehet heim in eure Hütten.
31 But as for you, keep your place here by me, and I will give you all the orders and the laws and the decisions which you are to make clear to them, so that they may do them in the land which I am giving them for their heritage.
31 Mais toi, reste ici avec moi, et je te dirai tous les commandements, les lois et les ordonnances, que tu leur enseigneras, afin qu'ils les mettent en pratique dans le pays dont je leur donne la possession.
31 Ach fansa anseo i do sheasamh taobh liom, agus inseoidh mé duit na haitheanta go léir agus na dlíthe agus na reachtanna go léir atá le teagasc agat dóibh, agus atá le comhlíonadh acu sa tír atá á thabhairt agam ina seilbh.’ Grá agus Dílseacht don Tiarna
31 Y tú estáte aquí conmigo, y te diré todos los mandamientos, y estatutos, y derechos que les has de enseñar, a fin que los pongan ahora por obra en la tierra que yo les doy para poseerla.
31 Du aber sollst hier vor mir stehen, daß ich mit dir rede alle Gesetze und Gebote und Rechte, die du sie lehren sollst, daß sie darnach tun in dem Lande, das ich ihnen geben werde einzunehmen.
32 Take care, then, to do whatever the Lord your God has given you orders to do; let there be no turning away to the right hand or to the left.
32 Vous ferez avec soin ce que l'Éternel, votre Dieu, vous a ordonné; vous ne vous en détournerez ni à droite, ni à gauche.
32 “Féachaigí chuige dá bhrí sin go ndéanfaidh sibh de réir mar a d'aithin an Tiarna ár nDia daoibh. Ná claonaigí ar dheis na ar chlé ón gcosán.
32 Mirad, pues, que hagáis como Jehová vuestro Dios os ha mandado: no os apartéis á diestra ni á siniestra;
32 So habt nun acht, daß ihr tut, wie euch der HERR, euer Gott, geboten hat, und weicht nicht, weder zur Rechten noch zur Linken,
33 Go on walking in the way ordered for you by the Lord your God, so that life may be yours and it may be well for you, and your days may be long in the land of your heritage.
33 Vous suivrez entièrement la voie que l'Éternel, votre Dieu, vous a prescrite, afin que vous viviez et que vous soyez heureux, afin que vous prolongiez vos jours dans le pays dont vous aurez la possession.
33 Cloígí leis an mbealach go léir a d'aithin an Tiarna daoibh agus beidh an bheatha agaibh, agus beidh an rath oraibh, agus beidh fad saoil agaibh sa tír a bheidh in bhur seilbh.
33 Andad en todo camino que Jehová vuestro Dios os ha mandado, para que viváis, y os vaya bien, y tengáis largos días en la tierra que habéis de poseer.
