2 Send men to get knowledge about the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the children of Israel; from every tribe of their fathers you are to send a man, every one a chief among them.

2 Envía tú hombres que reconozcan la tierra de Canaán, la cual yo doy á los hijos de Israel: de cada tribu de sus padres enviaréis un varón, cada uno príncipe entre ellos.
2 Sende Männer aus, die das Land Kanaan erkunden, das ich den Kindern Israel geben will, aus jeglichem Stamm ihrer Väter einen vornehmen Mann.
3 And Moses sent them from the waste land of Paran as the Lord gave orders, all of them men who were heads of the children of Israel.
3 Moïse les envoya du désert de Paran, d'après l'ordre de l'Éternel; tous ces hommes étaient chefs des enfants d'Israël.

3 Mose, der sandte sie aus der Wüste Pharan nach dem Wort des HERRN, die alle vornehme Männer waren unter den Kindern Israel.
4 And these were their names: of the tribe of Reuben, Shammua, the son of Zaccur.

16 These are the names of the men whom Moses sent to get knowledge about the land. And Moses gave to Hoshea, the son of Nun, the name of Joshua.
16 Tels sont les noms des hommes que Moïse envoya pour explorer le pays. Moïse donna à Hosée, fils de Nun, le nom de Josué.
16 Sin iad ainmneacha na ndaoine a sheol Maois uaidh ag taiscéaladh na tíre. Ansin thug Maois an t‑ainm Iósua ar Hóiséa mac Nún.
16 Estos son los nombres de los varones que Moisés envió á reconocer la tierra: y á Oseas hijo de Nun, le puso Moisés el nombre de Josué.
16 Das sind die Namen der Männer, die Mose aussandte, zu erkunden das Land. Aber Hosea, den Sohn Nuns, nannte Mose Josua.
17 So Moses sent them to have a look at the land of Canaan, and said to them, Go up into the South and into the hill-country;
17 Moïse les envoya pour explorer le pays de Canaan. Il leur dit: Montez ici, par le midi; et vous monterez sur la montagne.

18 And see what the land is like; and if the people living in it are strong or feeble, small or great in number;

18 Y observad la tierra qué tal es; y el pueblo que la habita, si es fuerte ó débil, si poco ó numeroso;
18 und besehet das Land, wie es ist, und das Volk, das darin wohnt, ob's stark oder schwach, wenig oder viel ist;
19 And what sort of land they are living in, if it is good or bad; and what their living-places are, tent-circles or walled towns;
19 ce qu'est le pays où il habite, s'il est bon ou mauvais; ce que sont les villes où il habite, si elles sont ouvertes ou fortifiées;

19 Qué tal la tierra habitada, si es buena ó mala; y qué tales son las ciudades habitadas, si de tiendas ó de fortalezas;
19 und was es für ein Land ist, darin sie wohnen, ob's gut oder böse sei; und was für Städte sind, darin sie wohnen, ob sie in Gezelten oder Festungen wohnen;
20 And if the land is fertile or poor, and if there is wood in it or not. And be of good heart, and come back with some of the produce of the land. Now it was the time when the first grapes were ready.
20 ce qu'est le terrain, s'il est gras ou maigre, s'il y a des arbres ou s'il n'y en a point. Ayez bon courage, et prenez des fruits du pays. C'était le temps des premiers raisins.
20 an bhfuil an ithir féin saibhir nó bocht, faoi choillte nó a mhalairt. Bíodh misneach agaibh agus tugaigí cuid de thorthaí na tíre ar ais libh.” Ba é séasur na bhfíniúna luatha é.
20 Y cuál sea el terreno, si es pingüe ó flaco, si en él hay ó no árboles: y esforzaos, y coged del fruto del país. Y el tiempo era el tiempo de las primeras uvas.
20 und was es für Land sei, ob's fett oder mager sei und ob Bäume darin sind oder nicht. Seid getrost und nehmet die Früchte des Landes. Es war aber eben um die Zeit der ersten Weintrauben.
21 So they went up and got a view of the land, from the waste land of Zin to Rehob, on the way to Hamath.
21 Ils montèrent, et ils explorèrent le pays, depuis le désert de Tsin jusqu'à Rehob, sur le chemin de Hamath.
21 Chuadar suas dá bhrí sin, chun an tír a bhrath, ó fhásach Zin go dtí Rachob agus Bealach Hamát.
21 Y ellos subieron, y reconocieron la tierra desde el desierto de Zin hasta Rehob, entrando en Emath.
21 Sie gingen hinauf und erkundeten das Land von der Wüste Zin bis gen Rehob, da man gen Hamath geht.
22 They went up into the South and came to Hebron; and Ahiman and Sheshai and Talmai, the children of Anak, were living there. (Now the building of Hebron took place seven years before that of Zoan in Egypt.)
22 Ils montèrent, par le midi, et ils allèrent jusqu'à Hébron, où étaient Ahiman, Schéschaï et Talmaï, enfants d'Anak. Hébron avait été bâtie sept ans avant Tsoan en Égypte.
22 Ghabhadar ó thuaidh fan an Neigib go dtí Heabrón mar a raibh cónaí ar chlann Anac, Aichíomán agus Séisea agus Talmai [bunaíodh Heabrón seacht mbliana roimh Zoan san Éigipt].
22 Y subieron por el mediodía, y vinieron hasta Hebrón: y allí estaban Aimán, y Sesai, y Talmai, hijos de Anac. Hebrón fué edificada siete años antes de Zoán, la de Egipto.
22 Sie gingen auch hinauf ins Mittagsland und kamen bis gen Hebron; da waren Ahiman, Sesai und Thalmai, die Kinder Enaks. Hebron aber war sieben Jahre gebaut vor Zoan in Ägypten.
23 And they came to the valley of Eshcol, and cutting down a vine-branch with its grapes, two of them took it on a rod between them; and they took some pomegranates and figs.
23 Ils arrivèrent jusqu'à la vallée d'Eschcol, où ils coupèrent une branche de vigne avec une grappe de raisin, qu'ils portèrent à deux au moyen d'une perche; ils prirent aussi des grenades et des figues.
23 Thángadar go dtí Gleann Eisciol agus ghearradar craobh fíniúna ann le crobhaing caor; thug beirt acu leo í ar chuaille eatarthu; thugadar leo chomh maith pomagránaití agus figí.
23 Y llegaron hasta el arroyo de Escol, y de allí cortaron un sarmiento con un racimo de uvas, el cual trejeron dos en un palo, y de las granadas y de los higos.
23 Und sie kamen bis an den Bach Eskol und schnitten daselbst eine Rebe ab mit einer Weintraube und ließen sie zwei auf einem Stecken tragen, dazu auch Granatäpfel und Feigen.
24 That place was named the valley of Eshcol because of the grapes which the children of Israel took from there.
24 On donna à ce lieu le nom de vallée d'Eschcol, à cause de la grappe que les enfants d'Israël y coupèrent.
24 Tugadh Gleann Eisciol [“Crobhaing”] ar an áit ón gcrobhaing a ghearr clann Iosrael anuas ansiúd.
24 Y llamóse aquel lugar Nahal-escol por el racimo que cortaron de allí los hijos de Israel.
24 Der Ort heißt Bach Eskol um der Traube willen, die die Kinder Israel daselbst abschnitten.
25 At the end of forty days they came back from viewing the land.
25 Ils furent de retour de l'exploration du pays au bout de quarante jours.
25 Tar éis daichead lá d'fhilleadar óna dtaiscéaladh ar an tír.
25 Y volvieron de reconocer la tierra al cabo de cuarenta días.
25 Und sie kehrten um, als sie das Land erkundet hatten, nach vierzig Tagen,
26 And they came back to Moses and Aaron and all the children of Israel, to Kadesh in the waste land of Paran; and gave an account to them and to all the people and let them see the produce of the land.
26 A leur arrivée, ils se rendirent auprès de Moïse et d'Aaron, et de toute l'assemblée des enfants d'Israël, à Kadès dans le désert de Paran. Ils leur firent un rapport, ainsi qu'à toute l'assemblée, et ils leur montrèrent les fruits du pays.

26 Y anduvieron y vinieron á Moisés y á Aarón, y á toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel, en el desierto de Parán, en Cades, y diéronles la respuesta, y á toda la congregación, y les mostraron el fruto de la tierra.
26 gingen hin und kamen zu Mose und Aaron und zu der ganzen Gemeinde der Kinder Israel in die Wüste Pharan gen Kades und sagten ihnen wieder und der ganzen Gemeinde, wie es stände, und ließen sie die Früchte des Landes sehen.
27 And they said, We came to the land where you sent us, and truly it is flowing with milk and honey: and here is some of the produce of it.
27 Voici ce qu'ils racontèrent à Moïse: Nous sommes allés dans le pays où tu nous as envoyés. A la vérité, c'est un pays où coulent le lait et le miel, et en voici les fruits.
27 Mar seo a dúradar: “Ghabhamar isteach sa tír inar sheol tú sinn; tá bainne agus mil ina slaoda ann, go deimhin, agus seo cuid dá thoradh.
27 Y le contaron, y dijeron: Nosotros llegamos á la tierra á la cual nos enviaste, la que ciertamente fluye leche y miel; y este es el fruto de ella.
27 Und erzählten ihnen und sprachen: Wir sind in das Land gekommen, dahin ihr uns sandtet, darin Milch und Honig fließt, und dies ist seine Frucht;
28 But the people living in the land are strong, and the towns are walled and very great; further, we saw the children of Anak there.
28 Mais le peuple qui habite ce pays est puissant, les villes sont fortifiées, très grandes; nous y avons vu des enfants d'Anak.

28 nur, daß starkes Volk darin wohnt und sehr große und feste Städte sind; und wir sahen auch Enaks Kinder daselbst.
29 And the Amalekites are in the South; and the Hittites and the Jebusites and the Amorites are living in the hill-country; and the Canaanites by the sea and by the side of Jordan.
29 Les Amalécites habitent la contrée du midi; les Héthiens, les Jébusiens et les Amoréens habitent la montagne; et les Cananéens habitent près de la mer et le long du Jourdain.
29 Tá seilbh ag an Amailéiceach ar dhúiche an Neigib; ag an Hiteach an Amórach agus an Iabúsach ar na hardáin, agus ag an gCanánach ar fheorainn na farraige agus na Iordaine.”
29 Amalec habita la tierra del mediodía; y el Hetheo, y el Jebuseo, y el Amorrheo, habitan en el monte; y el Cananeo habita junto á la mar, y á la ribera del Jordán.
29 So wohnen die Amalekiter im Lande gegen Mittag, die Hethiter und Jebusiter und Amoriter wohnen auf dem Gebirge, die Kanaaniter aber wohnen am Meer und um den Jordan.
30 Then Caleb made signs to the people to keep quiet, and said to Moses, Let us go up straight away and take this land; for we are well able to overcome it.
30 Caleb fit taire le peuple, qui murmurait contre Moïse. Il dit: Montons, emparons-nous du pays, nous y serons vainqueurs!
30 Bhí Cálaeb ag gríosú na ndaoine i láthair Mhaois agus dúirt: “Ar aghaidh linn gan mhoill agus gabhaimís seilbh ar an tír seo; is féidir dúinn é a smachtú.”
30 Entonces Caleb hizo callar el pueblo delante de Moisés, y dijo: Subamos luego, y poseámosla; que más podremos que ella.
30 Kaleb aber stillte das Volk gegen Mose und sprach: Laßt uns hinaufziehen und das Land einnehmen; denn wir können es überwältigen.
31 But the men who had gone up with him said, We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we.
31 Mais les hommes qui y étaient allés avec lui dirent: Nous ne pouvons pas monter contre ce peuple, car il est plus fort que nous.
31 Ach dúirt na daoine a chuaigh suas fairis: “Ní féidir dúinn máirseáil i gcoinne na ndaoine seo; is treise iad ná sinne.”
31 Mas los varones que subieron con él, dijeron: No podremos subir contra aquel pueblo; porque es más fuerte que nosotros.
31 Aber die Männer, die mit ihm waren hinaufgezogen, sprachen: Wir vermögen nicht hinaufzuziehen gegen das Volk; denn sie sind uns zu stark,
32 And they gave the children of Israel a bad account of the land they had been to see, saying, This land through which we went is a land causing destruction to those living in it; and all the people we saw there are men of more than common size.
32 Et ils décrièrent devant les enfants d'Israël le pays qu'ils avaient exploré. Ils dirent: Le pays que nous avons parcouru, pour l'explorer, est un pays qui dévore ses habitants; tous ceux que nous y avons vus sont des hommes d'une haute taille;
32 Ansin chromadar ar thromaíocht le clann Iosrael ar an tír a bhí braite acu: “An tír a ndeachamar ag taiscéaladh air, is tír é a alpann lucht a áitrithe. Bhí toirt ainspianta i ngach fear dá bhfacamar ann.
32 y vituperaron entre los hijos de Israel la tierra que habían reconocido, diciendo: La tierra por donde pasamos para reconocerla, es tierra que traga á sus moradores; y todo el pueblo que vimos en medio de ella, son hombres de grande estatura.
32 und machten dem Lande, das sie erkundet hatten, ein böses Geschrei unter den Kindern Israel und sprachen: Das Land, dadurch wir gegangen sind, es zu erkunden, frißt seine Einwohner, und alles Volk, das wir darin sahen, sind Leute von großer Länge.
33 There we saw those great men, the sons of Anak, offspring of the Nephilim: and we seemed to ourselves no more than insects, and so we seemed to them.
33 et nous y avons vu les géants, enfants d'Anak, de la race des géants: nous étions à nos yeux et aux leurs comme des sauterelles.
33 Chonaiceamar, chonaiceamar sin, fathaigh ann [clann Anac, sliocht na bhfathach] agus ba gheall le dreoilíní teaspaigh sinn féin, dar linn, agus bhíodarsan den tuairim gur míoltóga sinn.”
33 También vimos allí gigantes, hijos de Anac, raza de los gigantes: y éramos nosotros, á nuestro parecer, como langostas; y así les parecíamos á ellos.
33 Wir sahen auch Riesen daselbst, Enaks Kinder von den Riesen; und wir waren vor unsern Augen wie Heuschrecken, und also waren wir auch vor ihren Augen.
